Absolute legend ..... Loved 90's English football, you had the back end of Lineker's career then Beardsley Shearer, Ferdinand, Fowler, Owen, Wright, Cole, Sheringham and thats just the English strikers but Duncan Ferguson was an absolute beast, When Tony Adams and Martin Keown would rather leave it to the other to mark him you know how dangerous he is ..... I'm a Wolves fan but this fella right here is one of the reasons why I loved football so much growing up ... Passion, will to win, little bit bonkers and didn't care who the opposition were .... The game sorely misses players like BIG DUNC!
An absolute gem, legend, like all evertonians,it broke my heart when he went to Newcastle,I've followed this club 45yearsa. like the bigman ime a scott,if only more players had the passion an love for the club, well who no,s,we love you bigman
Thanks for posting this so soon after the match, could not be there unfortunately but great to hear a true Everton legend speaking so passionately about his beloved club
The one and only :-] A real throwback and a VERY VERY rare footballer and guy for the modern era. One of the only players who was respected by EVERYONE. When he was playing they had a poll for the toughest hardest footballer in the English modern game . the poll included such Hardnuts as the nutty Vinnie jones, the solid terry Hurlock, the scary Mick harford, the fiery roy keane, the mad genius Eric cantonna, the loopy giant Peter schmeichal. Big Duncan got 78% of the votes topping the poll no sweat. NO BODY argued fans or players. Bit sad maybe but he was the one who inspired me to get my Everton Tat as he had one...lol :-]
Love big Dunc, great player to watch, heart on his sleeve passionate old style Centre forward with a genuine love and affinity with his club and his fans, Everton were lucky to have him and he was lucky to have them, respect to the club for giving him the occasion he deserved from a United fan.
Here on the back of his announcement as caretaker. Good luck Duncan. If the current squad start to perform and show as much fight as you did over the years then Everton will climb the table in no time.
I was there and it was really good. Unfortunately we couldn't win but Rooney was given offside but wasn't and nearly scored a screamer. Well done Big dunk, thanks. And also if you saw someone with a banner that said thank u big dunc then that was also me.Come on you blues!
@@CAVERN1234 I do. I don't really support Everton (not in the true sense of the word) but the man was a legend. Everything the modern day footballer is not. Why don't you try to find the good in people?
Love big Dunc. A lot of modern players could take a page from his book as long as it's the page about hardwork, commitment and passion and not the page about punching, strangling or headbutting your opponents.
It was a sad day when he turned his back on a Scotland career.... I still remember his unbelievable game against Germany... Last time he played in a Scotland strip I believe.
He would be the man with the passion for Everton to rival Klopp. He would need 200m also. But that would be fun to see them on the touchline on derby day.
Would have made an exceptional cruiser weight boxer think tony bellew and add some / height strength power skill fitness will to win - hard man right there
@@hIbeRniAnfc-od2iw Italian actually but its okay, I gave up on Everton when I saw it's fans cheering for whoring themselves out to a construction company.

Ha ha ha....I think it's Scottish for thank you to some people. (I wouldn't be saying that to his face though, oh no) Seriously though, I remember when Big Dunc played for Newcastle Utd. A stand out player on the field. It was a big shame he got stuck with injuries or would've played alot more. If he'd been fit for the 1999 Cup final against Man Utd we might've even got a goal !!Dunc and Shearer were great to watch together.

Pure passion, loyalty and love for the club. He symbolises everything I love about Everton, and why we are the peoples club.
+Mark Sesum
The chairman sold him. Walter Smith said he didn't want to go.
I'm not an Everton fan but that's a man who loves the club
Great achievement big Dunc. From a Man Utd fan
Unbelievable to see the support that was in the stadium. Big Dunc you were and are absolutely great. We're lucky to have you at the club.
