Karan Sir, the meitei said the Army is not fair 'cause they are not able to annihilate the kuki easily due to the intervention of Army. Without Indian Army, the meitei radicals, meitei women's wing and State force would finish the Kukis in just a finger snap!!
The meiteis community must know that ,when their so call maharaja was defeated by the mynmar king along with the British empire ,it was the then the meiteis king begging to the kuki chieften and kuki warriors to help them in their war so the kuki warriors as good hearth accept the plea of meiteis maharaja and fought the foreigns invansion and defeat them, only then the so call MANIPUR state was created with the help of kuki chieften and kuki warriors,an then half of the Manipur state was belongs to the kukizo, and onces again the kukizo was fighting the British empire to save guard their land that is the kuki uprising from (1917 to 1919)the kuki have fought the British for 3longs years where as the meitei king fought the British just 1night ,who is the real freedom fighter of India, the history of kuki warriors still remain in the British library till today as for the meiteis there is no record of Indian freedom fighter, meiteis febricate themself as a Indian freedom fighter what a shame ,Manipur state came into beings because of zokuki otherwise Manipur will be under Burma union state...

Yes. Our professor stated it rightly. Complete separation from union of Manipur is the only solution. Thnks to Thapar for having our gentleman on your show.❤
Professor is speaking point to point with proper answer.. I think simple solution is that Manipur CM should think about the improvement of hill areas also just try to provide us also basic requirements like drinking water road and transportation hospital school college. In place like Ukhrul district there is even no clean water to drink from long long years people are suffering. Thanks so much to Indian Army's for protecting hill areas. Jai Hind Jai Bharat.
I totally agree but I want to point out that even though Imphal has better infrastructure, there are several issues as well. Our house is almost in the centre of Imphal and we have to buy water regularly to fill up our tanks. Some of the roads in the leikai are still untarred. So many neighbours - many of them with degrees are jobless. Yes, this is in the middle of Imphal.
Karan Sir, if DGP is transferred in ethnic lines so all the CO and JCO of meitei officers posted in vulnerable area in the Indian Army need to transfer as well.
Biren Singh leadership is a disgrace; his supervisor Modi's indifference and silence is disrespectful and highly offensive to us. We, the people of Manipur, request better educated and smarter leaders. Generally, BJP never supports minorities- such as the lgbt or remote regions of India- considering lesser votes. Shameless, inhumane set of people. Never vote for BJP again. Never. Ever.
The silence of the Union Government on this issue is sickening. "Divide and rule," once the policy of colonial powers, is now the policy of the tunnel-visioned, prejudiced Union Government.

When Karan sir conclude his interview by "i thankyou for your honestly" it mean alot to the viewers because he don't use such words with everyone in his interview. Note: even yesterday the meitei lady didn't receive such words from Karan sir as he know she's not being honest.
Because Binalaksmi Nepram stands for peace and represents a human, a woman who grew up amidst conflict ridden state, she leads women gun survivors network, which helped more than 20,000 women of all communities widowed or survived and dealed with decades of armed conflicts in Manipur. So she is not being honest but refusing to blame and name any community but stick to the fact that innocent ones are suffering and stop violence, bcoz blame game violence is not leading to anything. Karan, allow the interviewee to finish speaking. Sometimes you want him to answer questions put by you only. That becomes one-sided. The speaker is very well versed on the topic. He expresses himself clearly.
As an academician, it is important to not communalise any policy or incident. Its nice to be living with my own community but its even nicer to be living with different communities sharing different culture and ideas. Collating all acquired knowledge and information to prove one community as miscreants, attackers while maintaining one's own community as innocent, victims look like wasted education. There are enough lay people who talks the same. Academicians should look at the bigger picture beyond a community, that is to preserve the shared legacy together. Lets save Manipur which is shared by all of us. Be the Ratan Thiyam of your community.

All the 12 Universities located in Imphal valley (meitei area) constitutes of 3 central Universities- Manipur University,National Sport University,Central Agriculture University and 6 State Universities,3 Institute of National Importance- NIT,IIIT and RIMS and 1 Private University as well as all development project from infrastructures to medical, education etc are found in Imphal. Not even a single University is located in Tribal area that is the reason why kuki had to move to Imphal in order to settle temporary for higher education, job opportunity etc. If talking about drugs, poppy cultivation and immigrants...then Meitei percentage is equal to kuki but why only kuki is blamed and called kuki immigrants, poppy cultivator etc.
I mean it depends on the transportation and accessibility of transportation among the students, can u expect students going in the forest to attend college ? For me NO . Well we cant complained that delhi has AIMS and this and that it depends on the accessibility.
@@whatever25yearsago Your argument is so vague. First of all you think Imphal was born with infrastructure? It was once a forest as well. Secondly there are also universities and big institutes located away from the centre.
State medical college, Churachanpur, it is in the hills. IIIT Manipur is in the hills, it's permanent campus is constructed in the Senapati district, which is a hill district. Central Agricultural University is located in the outskirts of the city. And National Sports University permanent campus is still yet to be choke out. Most of the institutes of national importance are located in the valley that too near to the capital city. The reason is, Manipur being a disturbed state for so long due to insurgency, how do you expect national universities to be located in the hill districts which is far from proper accessibility. It's a question of safety to the Indian nationals who would pursue their career here. Let me ask you, are there any university in Bishnupur, Thoubal? These are valley districts, but why there are not a single university in these valley districts except in the Imphal city. Manipur is an oval shaped demographic land where it is the Imphal, the centre, and meeting point of all the people coming from different directions within the state. And stop demanding separate administration. Every nook and corner of Manipur will be developed once we are all united ✊. What do you mean by tribal area? All the people in Manipur are tribes.
Then get rid of this SCT status which discriminates against others who don't have it. Replace it with some better development status for the underdeveloped geographic area, rather than for genetic groups. Geography is better than genetics. Furthermore, cross-border militancy should be crushed with maximum military force.
@@ts1985 give me a valid reason why do we need a university in the far and nook corner of the state? What about accessibility? There can be food processing industries in far and nook corners but is it feasible to talk about University. There will be Universities setting up in the hills in the near future, but before that we need a better road transport system, and better safety of the people. But what's the problem of having a university in the Imphal city? With the expansion of population, there will be better universities coming up in the hills. But it's time to talk about peace and unity. Do you expect development in the midst of violence?
Manipur incident is a lesson for whole India as to what will happen to our states (Nation) if people are targeted in the name of ethnicity and religion. Hope this juggernaut stops at least now..!! Thank you, God Bless and Satyameva Jayate..!! 🙏💐🙌
There's no lesson being learned, on the contrary it's a deliberate experiment being conducted by the rss and it's affiliates as to notice how things turn up when the real end game will be started across India by the same rss. Kuki is 15% of manipur, muslims are 15% in india. Rss is planning the same tactic, where 'hindu civilians'(rss vhp bajrang dal individuals) will be provided ammunition to go on a genocide mission against muslims. Rss is currently observing/measuring responses of Christian majority nations to this conflict.
Discussion with Vladimir Adityanath and Dr. Ankita Dutta (14 June 2023): Kukis are nomadic and migrating community, they don’t have any such sense of belongingness to the place they live, they have conflict with many communities in several states in the North East. Historically, they are known for attacking other communities, and the British were also fed up with this nature of the Kukis. Experts further add: Since 1950s/60s, Indian government knew that there are illegal Kuki immigrants in Manipur. Kukis were making a preparation similar to that of Kashmir, they planned to separate Meiteis from their land, they built parallel economy through drug trades (1980-90). At schools, they brain washed kids, they taught kids to call christian as tribals. They did ethnic cleansing also with other communities such as Nagas, Gorkhas, .... Their major plan is to erase Hindus from the region, and they are spreading from South to North of Manipur towards Nagaland. In Churachanpur (the epicenter of the present violence), they carry out extortion and collect illegal taxes from non-Kuki communities, and restricted Meitei sacred places and Meitei festivals. They obtain foreign funding, used churches as tools to fund militants, and finally targeted Meiteis in 2023 with a huge blow. Everything was pre-planned over several decades.
Preplanned by the meitei to wipe out the entire community. Circumstances leading to the conflict is a clear proof. Marking the houses to be burnt in imphal, churches burnt in imphal and gun licenses checking in the hills only....
@@viteshworitrichal866Meeteis never owned or lived in hills. The kukis are Hill Tribes and they have lived in Hills for generations, they know the terrain and are head hunters beside the almighty God is with them as they are protecting their loved ones and standing for Justice. I hope this answers your question. God only protects the just. They are nothing without God's help. Think about it!
Prof. Saun Hausing says that there is no development in the hilly regions. The government is interested in the valley only. Kuki are neglected by Biren Singh chief minister.

When Karan invite a Professor, you should respect his time and words. The professor is an expert on the subject. A professor speak wholistically not in crisp bites, which develops better understanding. However Karan is in a hurry to catch bites with limited time and summarise.
The intensity and magnitude of the violence from both sides are not the same. Of course, it seems like Meitei groups indulging in violence have indirect support from the state govt machinery having said that Kuki groups indulging in violence do have some access to weapons the sources of which are conflicting. None of the parties are talking of a solution. What I fear the most is, as this violence continues this will have extraordinary ramifications for the entire northeast and a few neighboring countries. During this entire period, the pin-drop silence from the PM is only giving space for dangerous speculation and narratives. "Northeast exists only on the map but not in the heart and minds of our leaders".
A day consists of night and day, morning and evening, hopefully very soon a new sun will rise in manipur when every community will live happily forgetting/ forgiving each others nistakes .
Dear Mr. Thapar - As a regular listener and a subscriber from the North East, I would like to make a brief rejoinder on your interviews, something I have been meaning to do for a long time. First the appreciation - No other print, electronic or digital media platform has given so much in-depth coverage to Manipur as you have done. In addition to this fact, you have also brought scholars, social scientists and political scientists of the North East whose knowledge and organic bond with Manipur are vital to their analysis of the situation, as opposed to mainland Indian speakers or retired defence generals or so called Noida media anchors. We appreciate this very much. And now for some matter of fact critique. Most of the interviews you have conducted specially, regarding the Manipur issue, have been thoroughly disturbing mainly because of the fundamental precept of letting the speaker speak his or her mind being violated. This entire premise of halting the speaker midway when a context is being analyzed and then repeating what he or she just said in order not to “confuse the viewers” is an insult to the latter without interruption. The viewer would like to listen to the scholar’s context and rendition of the background of the issue in full. You are an experienced journalist and do not need illustrations of how this is done with other national and international journalists. As a matter of fact, your body language itself indicates this trait in you. Your fingers seem to be itching to stop the speaker in the middle of a sensitive point just to clear the viewers perspective. You have even initiated arguments with speakers. Overall this is disturbing to the viewers and brings in a sense of bad taste. We would like to listen fully, carefully and calmly to these scholars and scientists. Thank you Kelsang Trinlay

Thapar Sir, the way how Prof Hausing pin pointed the events was not fuelling communal riots. To resolve the crisis, it's necessary to dig out the facts as exactly what Prof. Hausing has exposed. While discussing the issues, one has to keep in mind the ethnic cleansing launched by the arambai and leepun leading to the demand for separation. It's needed to bring forth which community strives for first mob attack but in return, the Kukis responded in retaliation all the time. Now, who is to be blamed?
How did Arambai and Meitei leepun came out? It's because u people carry guns n start burning people house,we just have to sit and watch that ? Accept reality accept your mistake ,and tell us how u people (self claimed as disadvantaged, underprivileged group )have snipers ,tell us where u buy that .
@@kalidasl6941Your attitude is not that of reconciliation in spirit first of all. Your leaders and people in national media are seemingly demanding for peace and that the territorial integrity of Manipur shouldn't be disrupted but the fact of the matter is that Kuki villages are being attacked still led by the Arambai Tengols in collusion with the state police and commandos. How do you expect to avail peace and reconciliation in that manner? Secondly, the Arambai Tengol was never a biproduct of Kuki aggression as your people so claim. In fact it was the other way around and it still is. You talk about Snipers and aks. Are you seriously not aware about the armories looted in the valley regions to which the stolen guns are still not returned in full till date? Do you think those items were stolen to hunt birds? Do you think the Arambai and meitei goons who are still attacking Kuki villages are using catapults? Do you think in the recent fights where Meitei invaders lost a number of lives within the territory of Kuki villages had catapults in their hands? If only you had brains and a moral compass the size of a walnut, you'd understand better. Truth does set us free as humans. It can work wonders and even help in reconciliation and healing if used right. But mind you, the grass isn't always as green on the other side. As long as the truth favours people on the margins, liberation eventually becomes their cry. It always has been in history past the cry of the oppressed. By then, reconciliation to me at least is a far, far cry.

A new issue arises that the Manipur Hills are rich in gas and oil resources. Some reliable source mentioned that this may be the reason behind the ethnic cleansing and this is scary.

There's no lesson being learned, on the contrary it's a deliberate experiment being conducted by the rss and it's affiliates as to notice how things turn up when the real end game will be started across India by the same rss. Kuki is 15% of manipur, muslims are 15% in india. Rss is planning the same tactic, where 'hindu civilians'(rss vhp bajrang dal individuals) will be provided ammunition to go on a genocide mission against muslims. Rss is currently observing/measuring responses of Christian majority nations to this conflict.
Prof Suan the best of all to have a chat with thapar. 👍
Discussion with Vladimir Adityanath and Dr. Ankita Dutta (14 June 2023):
Kukis are nomadic and migrating community, they don’t have any such sense of belongingness to the place they live, they have conflict with many communities in several states in the North East. Historically, they are known for attacking other communities, and the British were also fed up with this nature of the Kukis.
Experts further add:
Since 1950s/60s, Indian government knew that there are illegal Kuki immigrants in Manipur.

Thank you
Kelsang Trinlay

How do you expect to avail peace and reconciliation in that manner? Secondly, the Arambai Tengol was never a biproduct of Kuki aggression as your people so claim.
@@MadCoolHabibi u expect these arambai to fight with u with catapults while u people are armed even with snipers, also that 27May second wave who started that?don't just blame other ,it's true that both sides have fault, but the major root cause is u people, still acting like u want peace, and tell us when u people are planning for 3rd major attack

Thanks Mr. Thapar for raising the burning issue at this time
Kuki and Meiteis are totally separated Already.😢
Poppy love vs Poppy hater
Meetei did not want to separate from the Kuki and they call them poppy planter so meetei are Poppy lover!
Already seperated, waiting for the administration
My respect for Suan for conveying reconciliation and confession as the primary need to restore trust

This is the first interview for Mr.Karan Thapar in the entire series since the violence started acting quite neutral. Hence this will not put more flames. Peace 🙏
A new issue arises that the Manipur Hills are rich in gas and oil resources. Some reliable source mentioned that this may be the reason behind the ethnic cleansing and this is scary.
Oh! the Manipur hills r rich in gas and oil. This may be the reason kuki wants Separate Administration 🤔
Is that true?😢
@@toriezung4211 I wish it's not but it seems to be true. Now the state and central governments are planning on hiring a Netherland Oil Company to explore the hills. And this must also be the reason behind why Biren's government is so much hyped with "Go to hills" agenda.
