- Steph and I jump on the ferry to the Isle of Arran to stay at the beautiful Auchrannie Resort! We have our first ever spa experience (madness), go out for dinner in Cruize Restaurant, visit a local bar, stare in AWE at the stars, try not to go missing while walking down a dark road + cycle around the island!

I am really enjoying your videos , I love that you don't tone down your accent at all ! My fiance is from Fife and when I first met his family ,I couldn't hardly understand anything they were talking about and felt really awkward aboot it . Stayed in arran at Kildonan a few years ago now beautiful place and weather was roasting all week which just made the trip. Throughly enjoyed this 😀

I go to Scotland every year with my best friend and her family, they own a wee cottage in Arran it’s lovely and private , you’ve even got the beach right on your doorstep , it doesn’t have any WiFi or phone signal though 😂, is 4 miles from whiting bay if you were wondering

Blackwaterfoot is the best part of the island. Everytime I go I never want to leave. We used to have a holiday home in the neighbouring village Shiskine. Really miss that house!
Loch Lomond is on my must visit list. Since getting into Highland games competition here in the states, i have learned my Scottish ancestors are from that area. Very cool videos

Steph is the best :D It's good to see another take on Arran. I tend to always do the same (Hike the Goatfell or a beach walk close to King's cave).. Keep up the nice travel videos!

It gets kinda steep in the end. I would not recommend it, when the peak is covered in snow or right after (unless you want a challenge).
Usually I start directly from the ferry and walk the same way back, but I think you can also walk down to Sannox or Corrie. ....I might try that this weekend now.

Enjoyed the video as always, The Spa looks awesome and the secrecy on the Island is gouges. In Los Angeles you can't see the stars to well either. Its due to the light pollution, too many lights. Most big cities are that way. The Chocolate from the begging of the video; well we have that brand in Los Angeles, I hear its good. It comes in all kinds of flavors like coconut and there is ever hot pepper ones. Very hot and spicy. Thanks for vloging the trip. :D

Depends which part you're staying in! I'd recommend looking at the website to compare prices :D
Our rates vary depending on availability Carrie - sometimes we do last minute deals however you normally get the best rates when you book in advance. The island is also fairly cheap - mainland prices for food etc and cheap ferry tickets thanks to RET scheme by CALMAC and ScotGov

Oh yeah that's right!! Gosh, those two certainly left a major void in the vlogging world. It took ages getting used to not seeing them here. Their videos were the first ones I watched every day, and they never ever disappointed. I still regard them as friends.

The one thing you never do is tell us foreigners how much a night the places you stay are.For us potential visitors , is it affordable and do you need reservations? Oh yea , subtitles would have helped in this post ! :D
I only put subtitles when there's background noise :p most people don't have trouble understanding. There's varying prices and I linked the website in the description for those that were curious about that :)

Aran sweaters originate from The Aran Islands which are a group of islands located on the west coast of Ireland. Most people confuse the two. We are famous for mountains and scenery as well as whisky, beer, cosmetics, candles and most of all... FOOD!! Plus we are known as 'Scotland in Minature' as our landscape is so diverse featuring its own highlands and lowlands - to top it all off we are also known as Scotland's most accessible island as there are regular sailings and we're only 55 minutes away on the ferry!
