2024 Kawasaki KX450: Turn Track Moto2

SoCal rain means more turn track riding! With most tracks closed, the time is right to shred some perfect dirt. Decided to do something a little different last weekend and compare the all-new 2024 Kawasaki KX450 against my personal off-road bike, a well-used 2006 Honda CRF450X. Results were much closer than I imagined...

Throw out one heater (2.40) lap on the KX450 where I greased most of the sand turns and the results would be even closer. Even though there is more throttle sensitivity compared to the carbureted 450X, the KX450 ultimately excelled due to its lighter weight and stellar front brake. Going in, I never would have guessed they'd be so close!

Sorry moto amigo, some spots after the rain are simply invite only. Lots of good desert to shred though in SoCal, from Ocotillo to the High Dez 👍
