  • I got the hole-shot, then got shut down on the third corner by Jim Clark who thought the trail went straight until I started turning right! this caused my bark-buster to interfere with my throttle (cruise-control sucks for races!)
    Most of us on my line avoided the extreme section fearing the traffic jams that occur when only one good line up a steep section exists.
    The go-around section was packed with stuck riders but the xr400 made it's way through easily for the most part .
    I hit the last tree on the track but still made out in third place!
    Thanks for watching and commenting!! and blow me thumbs downers!!!!

    The 400 absolutely destroys everyone else on the hill climbs and tight technical sections, and can hold its own everywhere else on the track too. Gotta love that smooth torque!

    I thoroughly enjoy these videos. I just got back into riding and I picked up a clean ‘01 XR400R. I grew up on XR’s. In my 40’s now and the only prt that’s scary is the kickstart. My old buddies are on Husky’s now. I may end up on one too, but not as long as this XR keeps rocking!

      Thanks Kade! I just got robbed as well, the fuckers took a pew pew and other things from my camp in Maine. The worst part is feeling like a fool by making it too easy for them.....The coming trap for them is this......
      Buy 2 air pods remove the speaker from one leave both in something so when they get notified by their phone that they are being tracked they find the intact air pod pinging they throw it away and dis-regard the notification giving you time to grab your friends and track his ass
      Good luck with the PIG she's a good bike!

      Love the XR line more that I’m older, I used to ride IT’s and the like, but a big thumper is the way to go, especially if you like to ride it everywhere, a dual sport is the best $ you’ll ever spend on a bike, and at 50-60mpg I’ll leave the vehicle parked.

    Are XR400 that easy to handle? or are you are a real pro? lol damn you kicked ass! I ride a 2009 wr450f do you think XR400 could be easier to handle? I'm doing fine for the little experience I have but would like to try buying another high power bike like yours.

    • @solartherm
      @solartherm  5 років тому

      The xr is very easy to ride as long as you do it right lol !!
      pro????? ha ha yea No….. xr400 pro? maybe
      Just stay on that throttle as it fixes everything.
      with limited experience and your riding a 450??? that must get interesting being so fast that you can’t really twist er without going into warp speed!
      change your sprocket sizes before you change your bike…..bigger in back or smaller in front
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@solartherm thanks for replying, good job buddy! you have balls and commitment. I won't change it I just want to try another bike to check if I can improve quicker. I used to be good in downhill mtb, it helps a lot but now it's a different math. mine it's very modified 52/13 Power is not a problem, I'm just trying to find reliability and weight balance everybody say my bike is heavy, but being my first bike seems normal to me.

    Man you're really good. I'm considering getting into motorbikes, I didn't know trails in real life got to be so small, and narrow

    • @solartherm
      @solartherm  7 років тому +1

      Thanks Rod!!
      Yea racing in the trails is pretty dangerous as is at the motocross track.
      having said that…. just cruising along on the trails or at the track can be a really enjoyable activity and staying within your limits means that you will probably stay uninjured
      Buy a beater and some gear and just do it!
      mostly everyone I’ve ever met dirt biking has been really nice,down to earth people

    You need to move the inside mounts of the acerbis ? Handguards to the outside so they aren't bent, this gives you more hand room and also looks better to the rider most importantly and then others... the jeep wins again???

      They are hard to break but i’ve done it
      My shifter shaft snapped at southwick and I raced a few more races before i realized why my shifter kept falling out of the spline!!!!!!
      Take the whole bike and engine apart for access and hope to hell that you have every part exactly the same as when you took it apart HA HA what a nightmare!!

    • @solartherm
      @solartherm  9 років тому

      +Adrenaline Productionz HAHA funniest part of the video!!
      He looks like a junior riding dad's bike and having trouble touching the ground.
      He should have kept his feet on the pegs!
      That's like 45 degrees there not to mention the underground bees nests!
      I'm sure that detour cost him a few places!
      He could still be there trying to get out for all I know!
      Thanks for watching!!!!!!

      +solartherm I almost died in that section last year too. Similar thing
      happened where I lost my balance further down on the left side steeper sect...and was getting thrown over the edge. I was leaning towards a bunch of trees that didn't have barriers on them and the flaggers were running to me before anything even happened. I saved it though and got a legit applause from the onlookers. My heart pounded for a minute...until my next close call happened lol
