In Daredevil, Iron Fist or the Defenders she's always the most intelligent person in the room. Her calm exterior masks an everworking mind. She has the best lines, and is always able to put our heroes off balance by use of words alone. In that sense I think she's the best villain in any of the Marvel Netflix series, just because she's always in complete control of her surroundings, her emotions and any situation she's in.
They did a great job fleshing her out and then burning her to the ground in Iron Fist, and then bringing her back up in Defenders and then literally burying her under rubble
One of the best decisions MCU has made is to create a totally new and awesome villain like Madame Gao.
She's so badass. So well written and well acted. Love her.
