Sacha adds dimension and depth of character to davos. He's an actor who is dedicated to developing a role with more than meets the eye. A true jewel in the Crown of English acting. Watch him as the master in season 12 of Doctor who. His rendition is the best ever cast as the master. He stole the show. Awesome. 😎👍
Kiki Mink Ward is his ally now and is taking Hogarth's place in the comics as executive of Rand Industries while Danny acts as the Iron Fist. But Gao, Davos, and Joy are sure to be antagonists.
Facts deceive some times and in the business world deception is the art you choose to dress for success. Ward is his father's son or should I say Harold's cunning little brother?
Black Axe he initially auditioned using an American accent (probably assuming Davos picked up English off Danny and therefore may have learnt the american accent). But Marvel and Netflix made him audition again with his British Accent. doesnt make any sense. But Cumberbatch called Marvel/Netflix to put a good word in for Dhawan as they have worked together.
Black Axe it is head scratching that marvel casted an East Asian for Lei Kung and a South Asian for Davos eventhough they are father and son. also I assumed Kun Lun would speak Tibetan and/or Nepalese languages since Kun Lun is heavily based off Himilayan Nations. A south asian playing Kun Lun work as it seems to be that Netflix's Kun Lun would be on the borders of South Asia and East Asian. The Mancunian accent (Sacha Dhawan is from Manchester UK) still not justified however.
Gao in some ways is the netflix equilivent to loki. I just think for all her evil intent and plans, she does have a moral code somewhere. Her talk with Ironfist also makes me think something even bigger than the hand awaits the defenders.
Yep. Funny how he was the opposite of Danny. Finn Jones went from the Whoniverse to Marvel Netflix, while he went from Marvel Netflix to the Whoniverse.
Madame Gao is very intimidating to me. She's lived for over 400 years, so that is 20 generations. Of all her powers, it is being a Master Manipulator that I find the most scary. She can size you up in seconds and get in your head because of all her life experience. Imagine Ho Chi Minh times 20! She has all the wisdom and experience and has dealt with all kinds of people. She speaks every single language.
André he needs to work out and train. his body type is all wrong. just watching him in the season you can clearly see he isnt built for the role. what warrior monk has a pot belly
Loved Ward and M. Gao in Iron Fist. Ward was a roller coaster of being torn between so many emotions. I liked the way season 1 ended with Ward finding some closure and peace and trusting Danny more. I would like to see Ward really find the courage and become a strong ally to Danny going forward because I think Danny still needs help navigating his new world. M. Gao strikes just the right amount of menace and mystery. She is like an evil oracle. Every scene she did had me waiting for her to drop another riddle or bombshell. It must be fun for her to have so many pivotal scenes.
Well... He was Danny's father's friend in the comics just for him later to grow hate towards Danny for becoming something that he thinks should be his.
ok I like sacha and I had no issue with davos but come on, he's got one of the most straightforward and obviously set up villain arcs I've ever seen XD I love danny but jesus that boy is dumb, anyone could have seen that davos was one angsty argument away from moustache-twirling villainy when he arrived in NYC.
The more i hear about Iron Fist and the more i see of it the less i like it, they took far to many liberties and diverged much to far from the source material. Not only did they show that they didn't get the character of Iron Fist (who he is and what he is about) but they were weren't willing to spend the time and money to get it right. To busy rushing to get defenders into production, which leads me to wonder if defenders will be any good. After all if Iron Fist (both the show and the character they gave us) were bad that could very well drag down everything else since Defenders depends a lot on Iron Fist.
Marvel they're making a DCEU and I think you and DC should do a deal with DC and you know how there's some comics where marvel and DC crossover comics well there's a movie called Batman Vs Superman then why not make a movie called Avengers Vs Justice League it will combine the DCEU and the MCU
You have a story about an immortal weapon in a mystical hidden city given power by an anicent dragon to protect the city from an army of master assassins. But you chose to have it take place in New York with a whiny protagonist, phoned in fight scenes and half the season focusing on rich white people dealing with rich white people problems. You know this army of ninjas trying to kill our heroes, well let's cut away from that to show Ward going through Heroin withdrawls. Because that's apparently what people want to see in a martial arts series.
Davos is Steel Serpent.. idk if Sacha is a good choice for the character.. the body type is all wrong. just look at real monks who do practice kungfu and martial arts... hoping season 2 he actually does some training
B Funky when auditioned for the role. He didnt think he would get simply because he felt too small for the character. But Benedict Cumberbatch heard he auditioned and put a good word in for him. Also the marvel/netflix made Dhawan audition again but with his own British accent rather than the american one
Tactical Pvp Davos doesn't look asian but it's said his father is Lei Kung... I don't know maybe they'll explain more about the extra-dimension next season.
In the recent comics Davos is really cool and a bit of a troubled person who's motivation are explained really well. And yes you're right he's the son of the Immortal trainer Lei-Kung (who's trained many Iron Fist throughout his lifetime).
to make things more simply Kun Lun is supposed to be heavily based of Himiyalans nations like Nepal (South Asia) and Tibet (part of China so East Asia). Sacha Dhawan is British Asian. South Asian/Indian specifically. he initially auditioned with an american accent but was asked to do it again with hos natural Mancunian accent (Dhawan is from Manchester UK) The Kun Luns are normally portrayed as Tibetan/Chinese in the comics. But it seems that the Netflix version is literally bordering South and East Asian. So a South Asian playing a Kun Lun character can work. The only thing the writers overlooked is casting a East Asian for Davos" father and a South Asian for Davos. Davos is technically still Asian in this series. The British accent makes as no sense imo. But then again Davos and the Kun Lun citizens knowing English is not really explained either. I thought theyd speak Tibeten or Neplese dialects.
Madame Gao really is a great role she is menacing in the most nicest tone.
58632hhhh u make 100 percent sense
She spins you in her web.
I can't believe this adorable little lady made me hate her with a passion and was so menacing in the show. The power of acting people!
Batman v Superman lol in the show why would anyone hate her
@@vondoom6731 well perhaps because shes an evil old psychopath who only cares about her own power and survival.
@@rikusalenius4265 well i mean you’re not supposed to despise her like that
@@rikusalenius4265 well i mean you’re not supposed to despise her like that
@@thesaucegod3136 why not, you dont have to hate her but she was designed to be despicable.
Why do i still get evil vibes when she's being interviewed lol
TG2333 she is definetly playing mind tricks with the poor man
Alin Fatu lol same I don't know if it's gao trying to play wai
Cuz she's a damn good actress
Cause she aint acting
She is actually Madame Gao 😂
Dun dun dun
You are in anticipation of the unexpected hm
I love how Wai Ching Ho talks about her character as though she IS the character. It's awesome that she's so into it!
Wai Ching Ho looked like she get so deep with her character. So awesome!

Wrong, I'm sorry but Missy is definitely the best and then its Sim. This guy is no where near good as the master, I'm sorry hes just not.
She was so good as Gao. Wai played it so well.
Mother Crane and Davos are gonna rock Danny to his core next season. So will Joy and Ward! Caught between a rock and a hard place Iron Fist.
I was intrigued by Davos' accent. The actor wasn't even trying
Black Axe Sacha Dhawan is from Manchester, UK so the accent is natural
Shin-Ya-Kha Yea as an actor, shouldn't he be improvising?? Pretty sure Kun Lun isn't at the UK
Shin-Ya-Kha oh i see. that's obnoxious. he is actually good. it's just the british accent doesn't fit
Black Axe it is head scratching that marvel casted an East Asian for Lei Kung and a South Asian for Davos eventhough they are father and son.

I really liked iron fist , my favorites characters are ward and Gao
Yeah me too
Definitely!
Wow this lady !!! Great actress
didn't really dig IF, but I always dug Gao, ever since DD

Ho's performance in DD got me so excited for IF. While it wasn't as good as i wanted but she still did an amazing job as usual.
Can't wait for Season 2, really liked this season.
Look for the spymaster.
He's the new Master

What a queenly, elegant woman, and what a beautiful laugh. She makes me look forward to growing older.

Iron Fist is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and acknowledges the franchise's films and other television series.
Such WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!
I love madame Gao

She's such an amazing actress that I was expecting her to speak perfect accent English in real life like Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi. lol
mkeonine lol
Mann i need season 3 of Iron Fist
Behold, The Evil Cane Lady
enjoyed this show.
The Marvel Netflix series have produced some brilliant villains, Madame Gao, Bushmaster (Luke Cage) and Kilgrave (Jessica Jones)
Davos needs to meet Kilgtave. Can you imagine?!
You are here because he is now the Master.
Well... He was Danny's father's friend in the comics just for him later to grow hate towards Danny for becoming something that he thinks should be his.
We're just gonna ignore that he called his character "Ser Davos"?
madam gao may be #mother of order of crane mother

Gao

I thought Davos was decent enough, but can someone explain the ethnicities of K'un Lun? I thought they were all Asiatic other than Danny.
Tactical Pvp Davos doesn't look asian but it's said his father is Lei Kung... I don't know maybe they'll explain more about the extra-dimension next season.
Yeah that really bugged me, and on top of that a random british accent....?
Snorlaxxll Exactly his British accent was inconsistent to me.
In the recent comics Davos is really cool and a bit of a troubled person who's motivation are explained really well. And yes you're right he's the son of the Immortal trainer Lei-Kung (who's trained many Iron Fist throughout his lifetime).

I rather be tortured by a sadistic Nazi alcoholic sociopath for the rest of my life than to watch 5 minutes of Iron Fist.
Parents will force children to watch this show as a punishment
Pitiful witness, to paraphrase Madonna ''Poor is the man whose pleasure depends on the feedback of another.''
+The Witness That's some pretty freaky fetish dude. Watch that erection.
OK that's great just go watch something else and let the people who enjoyed iron fist watch it.
I'd rather shoot Toby. Twice.
