With the end of the combustion engine in sight here in Germany, I still hope Porsche will keep the Panamera in its lineup (fully electric at some point), including the Sport Tourismo. Yes, it‘s a big car, but of timeless elegance, I think.
I’m with Zack, I would go with the Sport Turismo out of the Panamera models. Carmine Red is a sharp looker though Andrea. I also agree with Zack about what I would like changed in the interior, I would like to see that center console changed away from all that Piano Black and also want buttons and physical controls back, especially for such common things as air vents. Great review!
The Panamera gts is one fantastic looking grand tourer. Out of its competition, I would take the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and laugh all the way to the bank. What a machine! Excellent review you two 👏
I don't blame you picking the CT5-V Blackwing as it's a nice ride, but that GTS' chassis tuning and driving experience still make it one of the all-time excellent choices in my book.
Just bought my Audi Q3 today! Just wanted to thank you guys for your review and comparison videos (I was choosing between Q3 and MB GLA). Very helpful!
I have a new cayenne gts with the TT 4.0 V8. It’s definitely a stomper. You pay a premium to get into the higher end porsches, but they’re definitely next level in terms of performance to their competitors. They just do shit right.
Make mine ... a ‘Shooting Brake’ in an exotic colour.... Midnight Blue perhaps. I absolutely agree about the first generation being quite collectable in the near future. I’d consider one. You guys were the perfect couple (a Porsche friendly home) to review this incredible motorcar. Thanks!
What a machine! Amazing vehicle and love the updated look and design both interior and exterior wise. Amazing review Andrea and Zack! However, like all porsches - tad on the expensive side.
I know I'm late to this video, but this is my first time seeing your channel, and wow, great review. Great video format. Can't wait to get one of these!
Wouah fiends ! What an emotion when I saw you were speaking of me. So grateful. Yes you are right: this wonderful car is now sold quite only in Hybrid here in France: see the 4-3 Hybrid (462hp) version has an official combined consumption of 2l/ 100km and the Turbo SE-Hybrid (571ch), only 2,7 !!! Salut depuis Paris où le temps est nuageux et frais ( 21°). And again, you are the best...
"In the long run, this (the Panamera) will go away". Well, I don't think so! I think, that Porsche will keep the Panamera in the future, because it's just a way bigger car than the fully electric Taycan and Porsche just need a bigger four door type of sports car too, in both forms as sedan and Sport Turismo of course. The Taycan is just much tighter in the interior and has more like 911 type of interior space, but the Panamera has to be big enough, inside and outside, also to rival the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Therefore Porsche need the Panamera Executive versions in the future as well. You just can't get such things in "Taycan size"! Therefore I think the Panamera "won't go away"! Maybe Porsche will bring its first electric Panamera as a noticeable bigger car, just to differentiate it more from the smaller Taycan. This would be a smart move, because then Porsche would have two differently sized four door cars, which in the past was always speculated to rival the Mercedes-Benz E-and S-Class, BMW 5er and 7er, Audi A6 and A8. With both electric Panamera and Taycan, Porsche would have two differently sized electric four door sports cars, to rival Mercedes EQE and EQS, forthcoming BMW electric 5er and 7er and Audi e-tron A6 and A8 versions.
Andrea, you looked so sad when Zack suggested the car may go away. While the Taycan is currently Porsche's best seller, I think it will be several years before gas vehicles like this are discontinued. Have you driven the Taycan yet, as I think it may change your perspective? Some people compared early Model S vehicles to the Panamera, and Panamera survived the competition well so far. I love the way you matched your outfit to this vehicle, by the way
Thank you so much! I was really sad when he said that and yes I have driven the Taycan. It is a terrific sedan, but there is something about the sound and feel of a V8 engine. 💪💯 The Taycan is much better for the environment though.
Taycan is a smaller car than Panamera, so it won't kill Panamera. The big question is that when will Panamera go fully electric, or will there be a new car that replaces it.
Well I have a 996 Turbo S, a 987 Cayman S and a 970 Panamera Turbo, a E93 Bmw M3 and more for less the. A new Panamera turbo cost. I’m driving the pana now from LA to Seattle. Cheers boys.
The Taycan is nice, but it is very cramped inside. I'm 6ft 205 and it's too small for me. I prefer the e hybrid 4s.. 3.5 seconds to 60 and bigger than the Taycan
I am with Zack. I think the GTS Sport Turismo looks better :) mind you I love the look of the Audi RS6 Avant too. Do you think the RS6 offers more value overall? I ask because it seems like each added package on Porsches seems to ramp up the cost more quickly than the Audis. Must’ve been fun doing this video!
I'm with Zack on the shooting brake version. I think that one looks better, more "finished off" than the normal Panamera curve off design, but then again I've always been partial to sport wagons.
As much as I Admire this car. The price down under is wicked. The GTS starts at $310k, check the options and on road taxes and oh boy. The most expensive. Turbo S E-Hybrid at start price $421k. Sorry Porsche, its too expensive. Even if your income could justify it. Cheers guys.
Pains me to say that it seems like VW Group interior teams have lost their mojo with all of the gloss black and odd UI decisions. I do think the B9 & B9.5 Audi products are a pretty good combo of usability, well-executed tech and smart materials choices. Blends tech-forward vibes and elegance.
Any thoughts I had of getting an EV just went away after hearing that engine. If the planet dies from me driving a twin turbo V8, then maybe the planet doesn't deserve to live. 😁
This is the car you buy when it clocks 5 years old! The value drops like a brick, it makes it affordable for the average Joe, probably even cheaper if the original owner with a lead foot crashed it once or twice.
Seriously? Track? You know you need special insurance to track a car. If you get in to an accident with a car on a track your regular insurance won't cover this. And actually how many people have time to track their car let alone these days where you have to register in advance....I prefer the Taycan or better yet a Porsche 718 Boxster or Cayman with the bigger 6 cylinder engine. 20 mile per gallon on this day and age. Horrible. You'd be at the gas station all the time instead of on the road!
Who ever come up with touch center console, was an idiot. I think will be a law suit for causing accident. Not just Porsche. All manufacture who started this stupid way.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing image is actually the CT4-V, grabbed the wrong file. Sorry folks.
With the end of the combustion engine in sight here in Germany, I still hope Porsche will keep the Panamera in its lineup (fully electric at some point), including the Sport Tourismo. Yes, it‘s a big car, but of timeless elegance, I think.
Totally agree on how much better the last gen was for Porsche interiors
Definitely the best and honest reviews anywhere. Thanks!

Thank you so much! The CT5-V is so reasonably priced compared to the others.
I don't blame you picking the CT5-V Blackwing as it's a nice ride, but that GTS' chassis tuning and driving experience still make it one of the all-time excellent choices in my book.

Ecellent job Andrea. You weren't so bad Zack. Wonderful team.
Thank you very much glad you liked it.

Do you expect Porsches to be less expensive, than the current price tag?
Love your videos- so informative!
Thank you so much really glad you are enjoying them.
Thanks for another informative and interesting video
Thanks for watching!
Great review! Red looks great on this vehicle. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much! 🚘💯👌

Such a beautiful car. A real head turner.
And so fun to drive!
I know I'm late to this video, but this is my first time seeing your channel, and wow, great review. Great video format. Can't wait to get one of these!
Black and red perfection🤤
Beautiful car! I would love it in a touring/estate. Wagons are kinda my jam.
Me too. So I’d get the Sport Turismo turbo
Sport turismo I'm 100% with you 🎉 good taste

You both are warmly welcome.

This car will fit right in the Point Grey neighborhood
Great review you two!
"Easy Drea!" She's a bit of a lead foot. :-P

Great review but Panamara GTS Sport Turismo would've been much more interesting!
In your review, you said you will take the Panamera GTS for a cross country drive. What about a Cayenne GTS? I am deciding between the two….
Both are great but a sedan is lower to the ground with better handling due to that. We have two Cayenne's so we love them.
You guys are awesome...."love when you talk dirty like that" lol
What do you think of the Lexus LS 500?
Nice review
Thank you very much!
Love that colour
Gorgeous!

a tasteful collection you have. wish I could source a manual 987.2 cayman here in seattle but couldn't
Sounds like the vents need a "save" option. Should be in the next update if Porsche even has that capability
I know they’re doing a review on the Panamera, but cross country driving continuously the Audi S8 and amg gt63s are both my choices
That a different looking sports car
I do like it .
Hi Zack thanks for your advice, to cross the country I think the Lexus LS 460 L , but if you want sport the panamera 👌thanks
Damn, I should watch this before I made my purchase. bought a Cayenne GTS instead, and deeply regret it.
Yes, the AC, air vents is too complicated ( did they import this crazy idea from the Taycan?)
OMG if you freeze it at 8 seconds the faces are priceless!!

Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it
PG&E shuts your electricity off for random reasons in California. That alone would make it a deal breaker for me.
why all of the manufactures keep on using red rear signal lights>
Does this have a carbon roof or pano sunroof?
I sure hope not. The Panamera and especially the hybrid models have so much more character than the Taycan
They are also larger and much more spacious.
Love Canadians ❤
Awe thank you!
I think I'd pick the Audi RS7 in Nardo Grey over this Panamera GTS.
Touch screen needs piano black folks.
Road & track should learn something from u 2. Bravo.
Thanks for the kind words!

At least the interior doesn’t come with a trackpad
damn she as gorgeous as the car
That blue Cadillac was a CT4 not a CT5

I wouldn't even look at any of the other competition, none of the other German brands touch Porsche IMO

Piano black sucks. Can’t wait for that to end
I'm with Zack on the shooting brake version. I think that one looks better, more "finished off" than the normal Panamera curve off design, but then again I've always been partial to sport wagons.
There is no substitute.

0-100 in 3.9 seconds?
Kilometres, not miles. Oh, that metric system....
My dream car is a Velorex. One day, maybe one day.

The planet won't die with increased pollution and climate change, only its inhabitants

I always found this vehicle to be rather ugly especially the rear end! No thanks
