For me handmade glass ornaments are 100% doing their job. It`s not just for one year it`s for generations. I have some from my grand grandmother. It`s durable if you are gentle and deffinetly much better on the tree than just ordinary plastic ones that everyone has. Check Republic is making devine things from glass.
Those hand painted glass ornaments are so much more magical and special, especially when they are passed down through generations and are a cherished family heirloom.
my mum buys 2 or 3 glass decorations every year, eventually you end up with a beautiful tree

I’m meh on Lindt, as I am with all chocolate. I know, it’s weird. Give me sour gummy stuff any day!
DJs is my number 1 favourite store. My local David Jones has already 70% sold out of their Christmas decorations so people are more than happy to pay for quality
I would buy just one special bauble each year.
I loved the gift tags and Dashaud's! My local Dj's is not as good as others, its small but our old small one that closed was way better especially at Christmas. Stop it with the tea light holder! I would love to do a wreath making workshop one year, if I ever get time. I had so much fun watching this.
With Lindt, I’m in the middle.
I have a fancy sad beige Christmas, I bought heaps of ornaments when I worked at Myer and had staff discount because it was spenny! I also have a variety of mixed sizes from Kmart and this year I’ve only used the big ones and I tied some red ribbon and some red gingham ribbon to branches to elevate my sad beige Christmas tree. No tinsel!
I had to replace a few this year and I also purchased the most beautiful tartan bow for the door.
I went in after watching your video to my local David Jones in a Westfield in SA and I was actually embarrassed for them. They had like 3 shelves of ornaments and they were so depressing. I can’t bring myself to take myself nor my small child to the CBD to look at DJs but I throughly enjoyed your walk through to see what im missing and therefore I saved a lot of money hehe
To add to this I was super impressed with MYER! I can’t wait for your walk through of MYER and I hope it was the same as my local :)
I love Lindt, especially the bears/santas/reindeers/bunnies...they taste even nicer.
Marimekko is a Finnish design brand. The flower on those napkins is their most popular one. I'm so surprised they can be found in Australia😯
I'm amazed how many Christmas sweets (and napkins) from Germany you have in Australia. I agree that freshly made gingerbread tastes much better than the prepacked ones, and I love swiss Lindt chocolate (the writing on nearly all packages is also completely im German, I would have thought at least Lindt would design english packages for other countries xD) Greetings from snowy Germany!🌲🎅
I have an artist friend that designed for an ornament company.., there are reasons quality glass ornaments cost so much!

I love them too. I used to work in a fancy department store and Christmas was so fun in the home department but also chaotic. That dinnerware looks like Spode but I see it’s not. Thanks for doing what you do! 💕🐾💕🛍️
The flavor on Lindt chocolates makes all the difference to me, some are great and others I wouldn't eat if they were the only sweets in the house. West coast US has See's candies, and I'll demolish a box of those in an afternoon! Only a couple See's flavors I'm not fond of.

I think my bank account is currently thanking my low energy and reduced mobility for being obstacles to checking out the Myer and David Jones Christmas sections because I always want pretty much everything (bonus points for anything related to dogs or ballet, and for anything purple).
i'm kind of meh on lindt. it's not terrible, but belgian chocolate wins hands down by comparison imho. loved the christmas stuff in the video, so glad we don't have a comparable selection anywhere colse to me, i wanted it ALL!
Everyday I keep reading these titles: "XYZ Christmas rage". My brain suggests something I guess.
