Self respect is the best form of respect. Once you value and respect yourself, other people will be forced to respect you too. Plus I think we should pay attention to how other people need to be respected too.
You are absolutely correct!! People who respect themselves are likely more successful because they have high expectations and goals in life and thus people are going to respect you as result So let's respect and love ourselves first!!
Very very very very good advice. I try to follow these rules, some I do much better than others, such as controlling my emotions. Know when to stop talking, listen more than you talk. Stand up for yourself and what you believe to be right. Compliment others, and take full responsibility for your actions.
I try to show others respect despite their shortcomings. My way of trying to make the world a friendlier, kinder, more honest place. I appreciate your post.
I think this video might be the best from the Brainy Dose!! I need to watch this over and over again for many days to come in order to really sink in and practice and make into a habit of lifestyle!! Thank you for making this great video!!!
You need to respect yourself before you can respect others l; you can’t give what you don’t have, so if you do not respect yourself, there’s no way you’re going to be able to respect others. It’s that simple; treat people the way you would like to be treated.

Some people can’t stop talking, and it’s normally those who have only boring things to drone on about. Can’t they see the glazed look in the eyes of others desperate to escape? The other thing I find so peculiar is how angry some become if you say something they disagree with. For Gods sake, we all have a right to our own opinions. Mind you these days, it’s the done thing to find everything offensive, and free speech is in the past, I.e. the good old days. Enough said!
I would add that when in any situation where the above points are adhered to, yet do not win the warranted response...it might be time to consider leaving what probably is a toxic environment.
@Steve C I am in that situation at work where everyone is corrupted down to the Union rep. What do you do? What do you do? ESP when u need that job to survive.

@Life's lessons my niece turned 13 this October and for the 1st time, I refrained from calling her bc I should respect her too and not put up a pretense. It hurts but they must now know abt the shattered bond btw her mother and I plus I just could not take anymore gaslighting from the adults while I gave my all to both my niece and nephew. Bullshit. Everyone deserves respect unless proven otherwise. Have high standards for your relationships but everyday interactions need to start with basic respect
Where I work, there is often little to no change of attitudes and or effort into working as a unit of workers in a warehouse. I just wish people would respect each other better. After watching this video, I can think of a handful of people that are extremely rude, who are being rude, on a subconscious level, who keep going w/o thinking of the other person, and these are also the same people, who our supervisors could walk over. Something I think about a lot is the second half of Proverbs 3:5, which states, lean not on your own understanding, and I'm not intentionally taking this phrase out of context. In order to grow and get where you need to go, you need to put your trust in something, or someone else.

Sad but true fact t6hat we have to earn the respect of others. I'm ashamed to live in such a world, and hate that we have to play mind games just to get by.
Keep in mind there are people you shouldn't waste your time on. Don't waste your time on people you know don't hear anything. Nothing is important enough to waste valuable time on nothing.
Sometimes it is a cultural thing talking fast….In my own culture people talk fast and loud😂 and we think that’s the confidence.. otherwise we get bored to death if you are too slow and low 😅
The best way I know to command respect, especially with bitchy women, is to dump a big bucket of cold water over their heads. It's harmless, it's legal, it's fun, it definitely gets their attention and it gets your point across. They'll never bulls--t around with you again. This is especially effective when done indoors. I'm short and the short people don't get the same respect as the taller ones do. If you want real respect, be tall
This word respect is such a mind fuck! Everybody wants it like money! I can never be as shallow as to command or demand respect if I get it fine if I don't who the hell cares... others?
I think the supposedly "brainy" writers and filmmakers of these videos sound stupid and are just full of cliché shit. In other words, they're simpletons.
