I like the Mustang E but again I don't like the price and so far the electronics have not proved to be anywhere near as good as the Tesla so... Tesla still has it for me! Now if they could lower the cost to say £35k well that would be another consideration!
“Tesla have had an influence on the auto industry, good or bad is debatable” Really? I don’t think there would be any EV’s on the roads now without Tesla.
@@CHIEF_420 Before Tesla, most people thought EV's were slow, had no range and were nothing more than a curiosity. Since Tesla came along, auto manufactures have been falling over themselves to bring out EV's.
@@CHIEF_420 That is sequence but nissan never really innovated, made any diversity. I mean, that the latest leaf still has no active battery cooling is surely to be considered archaic... bonkers!
@@RussellSpencerOfficial True. And to this moment still there is no EV under 60k that will match tesla performance for the money, both low and high end. Dont get me wrong, I rally like this car and would of loved the model Y to look exactly like this but at nearly 2.7 tons they must of made the panels out of lead. @@simonhenry7867 no, Simon, they are not any greener than an internal combustion engined car. You have been hoodwinked and cuckolded into believing that they are. How and where do they get all that lithium? Don't get me wrong, I like electric cars and I own a hybrid. But I am not a hypocritical environmental nutcase like most of it people watching this video.
@@TheHomeExpert5 I find that hard to believe when EVs emit a fraction of what an equivalent ICE car emits, even taking account of grid production and transmission. The Lithium mining propaganda is also tiring. Where does oil come from? Environmental destruction from oil extraction? Never mind that, keep buying oil because reusable lithium must be worse.
@@TheHomeExpert5 first let's look at the lithium issue. the 30kg lithium in an average EV? Or the 60kg in a rareer model S sized EV. Over 150k miles if you literally burned it you'd use 0.2g per mile. Except 90% off that lithium is extractable from the car battery. Except even after 150k miles that battery has a 10year life as grid balancing, where it will allow wind and solar to produce a cars lifetime off useful energy all over again. So about 0.1g of lituim a mile unless it's a Tesla and that's 0.05g(EVs wil prob last twice as long a ice cars but only Tesla has any data to show that as a likely outcome)per mile. Oh and every time the lituim is recycled that number goes down. So what's the environmental damage off lithium. So 87% isn't actually mined. It simply brine left to eveporate in the sun. This has a very low environmental footprint. Mining lituim(13%) can be environmentally destructive but can run almost waste free in a good regulatory environment. This isn't a lituim problem, it's a political one. Overall It adds a barely measurable amount off damage to an EV. Easily of set by a single digit of miles in any ICE
Great video and review of this new Mustang Bobby - but it shows yet again that Tesla's strategy of putting the Supercharger network in place, improving it all the time and maintaining it's reliability was a super great decision.
It's really nice. Personally I would prefer a bit more of a driver focused dash. The big center screen could be imbedded a bit nicer into the center console / dashboard to make it a bit more cockpit looking instead of just a plain tablet. Same goes for the gauge cluster, but that's just my personal taste.
Why copy teslas idea of super gluing an iPad to the front dash? Seriously? Build it into the dash for goodness sake. It looks ridiculous. And 2600kgs!!!!!! WTF?
i suspect they'll do a cheaper model down the line somewhere in which they will do away with the screen, or have a much smaller screen. it being mounted on the dash rather than in it, will make it easier on the production line... and they wouldn't have to produce different dashes for different spec levels..
The Knob does not actually have a physical electronic mechanism. It just applies Capacitance points for the Touch Screen sensor to track the Dial Position. Very smart corner cutting by fold, I'm guessing some based it on the passive Touch Screen Stylus.
I do think they should have designed a more conventional EV as well. While I understand that SUV’s are all the rage there must be a market for the traditional Mustang as an EV?
Well, that's my diesel burner for sale! And a Mach E ordered..just need to put some straw in the garage..sorry,stable. Fantastic work all at Fully Charged!👍🏻

I like the Mustang E but again I don't like the price and so far the electronics have not proved to be anywhere near as good as the Tesla so...
Tesla still has it for me!
Now if they could lower the cost to say £35k well that would be another consideration!
Wow, you really upped your game with that opening scene. I had to watch it again.
Just curious...did Rob try to dress like Steve McQueen from Bullitt (which features a Ford Mustang) for this video? If so, decent effort sir!
He was wearing traditonal rustic farm/horsey clothing. Only thing missing was the Dunlop Wellingtons.
the intro is really great, you made it the same level of those big-budget shows like Top Gear and the Grand Tour
“Tesla have had an influence on the auto industry, good or bad is debatable” Really? I don’t think there would be any EV’s on the roads now without Tesla.
Nissan ⬅ TSLA ⬅ most EVs
[UA-cam has a bot or paid TROLLS that DELETE factual comments]
@@CHIEF_420 Before Tesla, most people thought EV's were slow, had no range and were nothing more than a curiosity. Since Tesla came along, auto manufactures have been falling over themselves to bring out EV's.
Nissan Leaf. ..Chevy spark Mitsubishi i Mev.......
For this size battery I would expect much better performance more in keeping with the name and I won't even mention efficiency although I just did!
Neat! The autopilot system of the horse is bleeding edge so far. Always brings you home
The horse is semi autonomous also.
Horses (unmodified) can reproduce themselves, too!
Full autonomy really. With automatic refuelling. Even voice activated for some versions.
Nice car, great final rant, and B&O sound system...
"the dark horse in the race..." someone deserves a raise for coming up with that..
Way to build this EV from the ground up, & the efficiency’s really sweet to see! I am a long time Mustang fan, and I gotta say this is impressive! Good job, Ford. Way to boldly embrace the future 😃👍🏽
If it looked more like a Mustang it would have made much bigger waves.
I think it's still an amazing car, Mustang or not. I think it's a successful reinterpretation of the design. It's as good as the Porsche Cayenne and Macan
@@oliverstemp9132 true, since both cayenne and macan look like garbage
@@Fanaz10 they still look like a Porsche, and the Mach E looks like a Mustang
@@oliverstemp9132It's a really good car and there is no doubt about that. I've just been dreaming of a classic look Mustang EV since the Tesla Roadster came out. ;p
Mustang fans are an incredibly tiny and completely irrelevant minority of potential car buyers in Europe.
Robert and crew, you should be nominated for outstanding cinematography.
TWO AND A HALF TONS! That's not saving any planets is it.
Electric cars are not green. Just greener.
@@simonhenry7867 this one though seems particularly heavy.
Very nice car and I hope it sells well - but I’m good with my Tesla for the time being thank you
For intro 10/10 🔥
Awesome, hopefully they make an actual electric mustang cause that would be really cool but this Mach E looks nice anyway
Here in North America, the plug and charge works great on the Ford Mustang Mach-e , no card, no RFID no App, just plugin and it works!
Shame there was no name check for Jonjo, one of the greatest jockeys of all time, at the beginning.
Great review. I'll stick with my TM3LR thank you.
Dam it I want one! Great video. Not many EV that even think about a tow hitch, but 750kg! cool beans.
Why copy teslas idea of super gluing an iPad to the front dash?
Seriously?
Build it into the dash for goodness sake.
It looks ridiculous.
And 2600kgs!!!!!!
WTF?
Build into the dash would also be like a Tesla (Model S and X). Just saying - sorry 😅
i suspect they'll do a cheaper model down the line somewhere in which they will do away with the screen, or have a much smaller screen. it being mounted on the dash rather than in it, will make it easier on the production line... and they wouldn't have to produce different dashes for different spec levels..
A fantastic production. You're an easy listen / watch. Love your review. Of course I do. Mine is arriving in May and looking forward to it :D
18:16 you said "The Bose sound system that's built into the car...." - you realise that it's a Bang & Olufsen, and not Bose !
Simply beautiful video, thank you
@8:53 No Mustang aficionado would sully himself with the metric system !!
The Knob does not actually have a physical electronic mechanism. It just applies Capacitance points for the Touch Screen sensor to track the Dial Position. Very smart corner cutting by fold, I'm guessing some based it on the passive Touch Screen Stylus.
It doesn't "quite" look like a Mustang? THAT-IS-NOT-A-MUSTANG!!!! Mustangs DO NOT HAVE FOUR DOORS!!! FORD screwed the pooch on this one.
I do think they should have designed a more conventional EV as well. While I understand that SUV’s are all the rage there must be a market for the traditional Mustang as an EV?
Looks better than any Mustang since the early 70s.
@@ArthurDentZaphodBeeb doesn't matter how good it looks. Mustangs do-not-have-4-doors. They should have, and still can start a new name-plate.
Good review thanks Kryten!
That's the ugliest car Ford ever made.
I got used to the front, but i can't get over the "mustang rear end on a crossover" rear end.
You made the 1980 ford Mustang Smile
Love the camera angles....... Beautiful
Well, that's my diesel burner for sale! And a Mach E ordered..just need to put some straw in the garage..sorry,stable.
Fantastic work all at Fully Charged!👍🏻
Love the new mustang Mach E 3 Mustang it’s absolutely Beautiful 😻!!!! My dream is own one someday !!!
I’m so glad they finally made a SUV , I’ve owned 4 all Chevy SUVS !! But you really got me on this beautiful SUV !! Love no door handles that’s genius!! I detail cars on the side for the love of bringing cars to their beauty and floor room shine !!
Black is all I would ever own !!!
Love your video !! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous vehicle!!
That intro was everything. Wish to see you reach 1M. Great video as always!
The frunk...didn’t know if you noticed has a slight hole in it so you can either leave the dividers in or take them out (they do come out) and use that as a cooler for like a tailgate or picnic party to keep the drinks cold and the water drains out. I’m NOT a Ford fan, but this Mach E has me very interested.
Wonderful inro and the horse handler clearly enjoyed the humour! Looks like an excellent new EV and really enjoyed your video, as always .....
This production on this video is in a different class. Such a great review!
