- I've been having a lot of fun messing with my 2000 Ford Explorer. In this video I repair a problem with the overhead display. The display never worked since I have owned the vehicle.
Thanks man, you are awesome. Worked for mine.
Thanks for the video. My soldering didn’t look good, but it worked!
Dude you rock! Thanks for the vid
Thank you!
You didn't show how it came apart
It is not complicated. Everything is held together with small screws, if I remember correctly. I did not need any special tools.
@@xfer43 I can’t find it anywhere on the internet or anywhere at that matter either.
@@canuckcougarthere are about six silver screws that you’ll need to unscrew. Then it pops apart, pretty easy once you get going on it.
HOW DO I REMOVE THE CONSOLE FROM THE CEILING?
How does that console piece come out. I have the same issue and dont want to break it.
I am sorry… it was three years ago, and now I can’t remember.
Would be good if you had shown how to remove it
Sorry. I don’t remember it being difficult. I think it just pulls off.
Made in Singapore Lah!
This did the trick! But Did you have any issue with no power to any of the windows after this? My current issue after fixing this
I cannot believe I missed this comment! Thank you for the feedback. The windows should be on a completely different circuit as the amp draw on motors is way more than the small
incandescent bulbs.
that sounds more like a coincidence to me because like just jay said its on a different circuit. maybe you have a ground issues? ground issues can cause some weird electrical problems.
Thanks for the video, my soldering didn’t look good but it worked!
Sorry for the delayed response. I really appreciate the feedback. It means a lot.
HOW DO I REMOVE THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY ?? THANKS
I honestly do not remember when I pulled it. Sorry!
