Your honesty is very good. $140 for one lobster tail after 3 hours of waiting does not sound worth it.

Limit ONE lobster tail to a customer?????????? Palms Casino in Vegas NO LIMIT! Apples to Oranges, plus the 2-3 hours wait time is a big turn off.
Little wonder it was a special one weekend offering at over 53% additional cost normally. No reservation too.

Ty for the review. Vegas and Reno restaurants are like night and day. I’ve spent a lot of time in both areas. I would pass on this buffet as well.😊
We stay at GSR often but they have the worst food. Good move on the pass! Sue Btw we never eat there.

I loved the buffet at the Grand Sierra Resort when i was a kid living in Reno/Sparks back in the 90s (formally known as the Reno Hilton back then). The food looked pretty decent though I'm not a fan that the lobster wasn't all you can eat and only get 1 lobster. For that same price and wait time, i would probably stick with the AYCE buffet at the Palms. Next time i visit Reno I'll try the buffet on a non lobster day. Hopefully you did a video over at the Atlantis hotel and casino buffet during the trip

I've never seen you guys not eat at a buffett
Just too long to wait and we were soooo hungry. Knowing the lobster was limited to one tail made it an easy decision to call it good.
No I couldn't wait that long. 30 minutes is my limit 45 if the place is awesome. The food didn't even look that great. Plus only one lobster tail too, nah pass. Thanks for the info and all the two of you do!

I don't like lobster, but that wait is way too long. Some of the food looked good, but the lobster mac and cheese did not look good. Our local store made some, that was really good, and looked ten times better than that. And, they are not taking care of the displays. It looked sloppy. Not a $70 buffet at all.
The buffet looks very pleasing to the pallet. I just wish they would cook the beef (All beef) well done.

We love the Grand Sierra resort as it has the most activities, including a nice pool and arcade but the few times we’ve been to this buffet, it’s been a huge disappointment. Food quality is mediocre compared to the top Las Vegas buffets. Last time we were in Reno, we actually enjoyed the Atlantis buffet and thought the crab legs were solid. If you really wanted a buffet in Reno, I’d recommend that one.

Lobster buffet is definitely a false advertisement. I was a bit surprised when I was given a token/coupon and started to realize that I was only going to get a single lobster despite the fact that they advertised as though it's buffet for lobster.
Their brunch buffet is pretty good though. It's got country fried (chicken) steak I like.
We were so bummed out about that.
omg, wow, i did NOT expect to NOT see you eat the food but it makes sense. This was a very cool video in that it was something so different and unexpected. yes, i was disappointed, but its ok,, you showed all the food, and still made a great video out of it! oh, and pickled beets are the worst, but have you tried NON pickled? for me, they are ok but still way too salty, soooo, i found unsalted canned beets at the store, both whole and slice and they are very good and good for you. 😊
Thank you for supporting us even though we couldn’t make it in to try the food. Beets are just one of those things I never liked. I know there are a lot of health benefits to eating them though. Maybe in the future I’ll try again.

Which is my go to... btw: at the Casinos outside of Denver, I experienced the same ticket system for their lobster buffets so not surprised...

How deceiving...I wouldnt call this a lobster buffet when the only true lobster item you get is ONE tail. I dont consider items with lobster in them really part of the "lobster buffet".. Good thing their signs mentioned "one per person" or their would have been many angry guests... even then i feel a lot of people wouldnt have seen the actual "terms".
Most folks walking out of there were disappointed.

We just couldn’t wait three hours for it.
It just didn't look as good or fresh as Vegas. Some things were soaking in water while others looked dry. I don't blame you for passing on that buffet.

Carving area looked pretty bleak. But the food areas looked very clean! The best Vegas buffets don’t look that good a lot of times!

I mean, the sign DOES state one tail per person and even the size too. Can't be mad really with that upfrontness. As a one off in Reno, probably not a bad change of pace. I think the price is fair given all the other lobster dishes offered.
No. That $69 special menu doesn't justify $24 more than the normally $45 (over 53% of). If anything, they should've limit to at least 2 lobster tails.
In most restaurants in Vegas, you’d pay big money to order lobster tail. Maybe our perception would be different if we’d been able to try the food. We were a bit concerned with the feedback we were getting from folks who were leaving though.
@@wilsonk1464 here in Vegas the markups for "special menu" buffets are AT LEAST $24 dollars.... and that generally takes the total over $100 a person IF lobster is involved. The AYCE at Palms being an exception of course, but that's a bi-day weekly offering and reservations are a must. If I was in Reno, food taste and quality being unknown to me at the time, I'd try it for that price and feel fine about it.
@@ExploreVegas oh I totally agree that after you heard the overall quality and taste wasn't at least decent to pass. My thought was that, for Reno, that price for a one off IF the food was decent isn't bad given the selection even if it was only one tail. We're super spoiled down here in Vegas for high end buffet offerings. 😅😅
We live in the SF Bay Area and used to fly to Reno twice a month for years. Our favorite buffet was at the Eldorado. We stayed and played at the downtown casinos. Unfortunately, COVID and the opening of Indian casinos in CA changed things in Reno. Business took a hit and many downtown casinos and buffets closed down…So Sad! Reno was our “second home”, but have not been there in years.
