Do They Know It #52 - DO TEENS KNOW 70s MUSIC? (REACT: Do They Know It?) - Розваги
"Hotel California by the.... Beach Boys?"
me: *white guy blinking meme*
Brynn Kirkup 😂😂😂😂😂
For real, like wtf haha!
lmao how do they not know the eagles
The smell of pina coladas rising up through the air!
Brynn Kirkup No wrong kid it’s The Hotel California by the Eagles 🦅 that is one of my favorite songs I even a Tee shirt on it
No Zeppelin, The Clash, Queen, or Pink Floyd though?
trd 12 or sabbath, deep purple, foghat
zeppelin yes, queen yes, pink floyd yes, nut clash is mostly 80's
DeltanStudios London Calling was 79 though so I count them
but should i stay or should i go and rock the casbah, their two most famous songs, were 80's, so they're 80's
Vids not made by brits that's why, would be better if it was ✌️
The person who edits these videos is low key shady af. It flashed between the girl saying "and no one knows the lyrics to this part" to the guy literally singing the lyrics word for word. 😂
the moment I saw that I paused the video and went to the comments saying to myself "somebody had to of seen that" I laughed so hard at that
no bohemian raphsody?
no iron man?
no stairway to heaven?
no layla?
no free bird?
no another brick in the wall p2?
Though I will admit, they did make good choices with the rock songs they DID pick
no stairway....denied
wiki wow what do you mean by denied?
PsYprEmo8269 it would be to easy
Xander Etherington k
ok but their not the only 70s songs...they’re obviously gonna use them for another 70s music vid
Hotel California by the Beach Boys, that hurts a bit
Ian Wong lmfao
It hurts so much because the Beach Boys and the Eagles music sound vary different
Well Mike love might agree
That was definitely a "face palm" moment!
Ouch. ..
"hotel california by the beach boys"
Alexandre Martins xdxdxd
By the Eagles.
OUCH....
Close enough
California Girls.
How can you do the 70s without a single pink Floyd song?
They wouldn't have known what it was anyway...
+teppolundgren so
And David Bowie
It's sad that none of them knew God Save the Queen.
not really
Justin Tyme To me it is.
I'm sad as well
it was the only one i knew '-'. i was like, wht the hell
Rizzard someone doesn’t know music
2:45 "No one knows this part it's just like dbbdbdbd..."
Next two people: *sings every word*
no floyd or zeppelin? boy oh boy
or the doors :((
The Doors are from the 60s...
They were pretty famous in the 70's as well as 60's, so I had hope.
They really fucked up by not including them
How did you not have Bohemian Rhapsody or anything from Queen?
I know! Maybe it's because they're so good that their songs are too well known and it wouldn't have been a challenge!
riski gost yeah, but they put dancing queen lmao like that’s VERY easy
Music fact: the Bee Gees used to be the Brother's Gibb but due to the success of the Beatles at the time, they decided to take advantage of the alphabetical naming system of record shops and rename the band to the Bee Gees so they could be right next to the Beatles.
CrimsonStang okay but you can’t compare The Bee Gees to The Beatles.
Timmy Smith good thing he didn’t!
You guys seriously need to do a "guess that song" challenge with the Elders and classic 50-60s songs. Make them happy.
YEEEES
YES YES YES
Or maybe, in the spirit of the format, take the elders, who were born in the 40-50s and make them guess songs from 20-30 years before their birth :D.
Yes all the yes
how do you do a 70's one and leave out Sabbath, Zeppelin, and Elton John?!?
Brian Fowler and Billy Joel!!
And the stones, and the beatles, and yes, and Clapton, and Hendrix, though some of them released only one album in the 70's
and queen!
I'm only 3 minutes old and I knew all these songs
MayDayComa _ Then how did you watch a 9min. video
Sweet Child my mother started watching the video whilebin labor and I just so happened to be listening
THE BEACH BOYS? THE BEACH BOYS????????? that was so very wrong it hurt.
California Girls.
"when i turn 17.." *me is 23 cries softly*
sophie K cute, got insta?
Now you're 29.
@@PersonalAccountIndeed now she’s crying a river
hotel california by the beach boys... really... really?!
California Girls.
HOW DID NO ONE GET THE FREAKING PISTOLS!
Punk is the minority genre
James Roberts unfortunately
no clue
makes a 70s music video, doesn't include Zeppelin & Pink Floyd. good job 👏👏
ImBsal Thanks we love compliments!!!
"Nobody knows this part"
*cue footage of everyone singing along perfectly*
"The Bee Gees, I never even heard of them"
It's not like they sold 40 million copies of that album or anything
The fact that these kids knew most of these songs and these artists brought tears of joy to my eyes.
Everyone knows these songs, they are everywhere in movies/tv. They picked easy ones.
SERIOUSLY NO ONE KNEW GOD SAVE THE QUEEN? WTF?
Maria del Barrio same thought whhyy
Prepare for: "I'm only *insert age here* and I knew them all!"
Elders and Teens together react to 60s music
agree
I also agree
"I was gonna say bob marley but I thought it was another reggae artist" lol sure because you know at least 2 reggae artist from the 70's
I got it..... Teens React too the "Rocky Horror Picture Show".....I demand this !!
DrewX86X YES. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN
The writing ability of the Gibb brothers was so absolute genius especially Barry wrote some fantastic songs
but i've always wondered why it's only bob marley and reggae that these following generations know well. what made reggae survive so easily?
Barry wrote for Dolly. Islands in the Stream.
Eagles
Jolene
Dolly Pardon
@@venderstrat He also wrote for Barbra Streisand on her hit album Guilty.
You did the 70's but forgot Pink Floyd? How? How do you even do that? That's gotta be harder to do than not to do.
I was a teen in the 70s, so of course I knew every song. However, by contrast, I couldn't name most any popular song from this current era.
Same here. My millennial daughters,, on the other hand, have my 400+ albums and are well aware not only of the music of the seventies but classical music as well. I went out of my way to expose them to everything like my parents did.
That's because today's music sucks. My era was 60's.
@@susieq9801
If I had to pick 10 years of music, I would say 1965-1974.
The beginnings of psychedelia and still artist-input rock music before the word "business" became the operative word in music business.
That's not to say everything after 1974 sucked, but it really started becoming corporate.
Same here.
The era of music worth remembering ended ca 1998 when auto-tune was introduced. Today they could put a monkey behind the microphone and make it sound as any actual singer.
Dolly Parton.... such an iconic voice that more knew it was her than knew the song
How do you do 70s without queen, Zeppelin, or Floyd????
And Fleetwood Mac
bela harris they will do more from the 70's
no one known about God save the queen what it's happening to this guys
Ash jones There is no future for them.
NO ONE GONNA SAVE MUSIC....!!!!!!
Ash jones NOOOO FUTURE
@@108zzzxiu NO FUTURE FOR YOUU
I knew the band but have never listened to the song.
Finally, the '70s, but I sure hope y'all are gonna have more. No Zeppelin, Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller, Bad Co., Boston, Skynyrd, Al Green, EW&F, Deep Purple? Too much iconic music for just one video. Oh, and let's not forget the ex-Beatles.
I can’t imagine so much good music being NEW in a decade. Bet it was a trip
"I know this song..."
:D
"Because of the Miley Cyrus cover."
ಠ_ಠ
Tad Strange to be fair Miley sang it with Dolly Parton so we can kind of let them off...I think 😕
Tad Strange At least Miley knows about it and introduces this generation to those songs
Kate Murphy
True.
"I'm *insert stupid young age* and I knew all of these!"
Daniel I'm a foetus and I knew all of these
*I'm a sperm cell and I knew all of these!*
i'm a bug and i know all these
How can an age be stupid?
but...but...but...but... it's the pistols!!!
no Wings, Rush, Clash Pink Floyd? Wow. Next time tho right, right!?
Or Frampton, Zeppelin, Elton John.
Or Queen, The Who, Ramones.
I was waiting for a Rush or Frampton😢
Or all of these...
*Me*"They better have ABBA on here!"
*React* "Okay, Here's your first song."
*Play ABBA*
I'm really really really mad they didn't know Bob Marley and "No woman no cry". Com'on folks!!
Renato Lopes because the 70's had way better music than Marley lol 😂
Classy Chic I know you did not just disrespect the legend Bob Marley. Check yourself home girl.
Renato Lopes I'm not disrespecting him I just don't care for his music. And disco was the best genre the 70's had to offer. It's a shame dance music doesn't sound as good today.
Half of them knew it
damn the pistols are falling into obscurity😭😭
Not really, but a bunch of sheltered kids are not going to have that much punk rock exposure.
Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees is my fave 70's song because it has that swag and soul in it
How did NO ONE know God Save the Queen?
Maya Gibbons THATS WHAT I THOUGHT!!
I know right
How tf did only a few people know who Bob Marley is smh
An I the only one who during God Save the Queen started jumping and yelling in my bed out of frustration because none of them knew it.
No Queen? no John Lennon- Imagine? come on, that was a huge song of the 70s
really not one person got god save the queen?
shannon marie Ikr !
i know right... wtf
god save the reacters. lol
"No one knows this part"
*cuts to people singing that part*
Teens react to punk rock
0/0 :))))
teens react to punk music
Curly Kim yes good idea
I can't believe they didn't know God Save The Queen
i know right
No Zeppelin in the playlist, dude what??
damage case? iron man? paranoid? smoke on the water? highway to hell?
the metal disrespect....
nobody knows God save the Queen?, really?
I wish I had been able to do stuff like this when I was still a teen (20 now). I know all of these songs...then again, I collect vinyl records and listen to mostly classic rock. I own copies of most of the albums these songs are from.
They did a lot better than I thought they would
70's music without any Queen, that's a crime.
xmasta105 true
or Pink Floyd.
@@lazyskull7949 or carpenters
Yeah it's the crime of the century
Props for including the Sex Pistols and Bob Marley -- marking the arrival of punk and reggae into U.S. music culture. The kids should know, if they care about pop music.
Only reason I knew the Sex Pistols was I have recently watch the series on their early years. They were more of a former room mates jam than mine.
except sex pistols is awful punk
@@erictim9052 Sure, but that was kind of the point, at least in the beginning. It was not supposed to be virtuoso music. "Good punk" of that era would have been a contradiction in terms. But yeah, some of those songs are hard to listen to.
@@johnalden5821 Well, punk at the time, embraced a large spectrum of bands rather like "Grunge" or "Metal". The Boomtown Rats were considered to be punk, at least when they started, so were Billy Idol and others. The Sex pistols were Heavy end of Punk.
Yeah Jhony Rotten and Sid Vicius
"That one time on Hannah Montana when she was Miley Cyrus' godmother" But...but she is Miley's godmother...like, In real life
70's without Pink Floyd..... come on we need a teens or College Kids react to PF!!!!
I would have never guessed a Pink Floyd song tho...
yeah like wtf they're thinking
It's such a shame that we believe punk was one of the most important movements in music history and Pistols was one of the most influential bands, yet none of these kids know them.
wasn't their most popular song, Anarchy in the U.K is much better. Not knowing Bob Marley is much sadder
That's 70's show is my fave.
Freakin Jess omg yes that show made me obsessed with 70s music
Got every single one, these guys made me wanna cry
we need more DO TEENS KNOW 50's/60's/70's/80's and 90's. More Dire Straits and Beatles etc. Loved it!!
Omg as soon as Dolly Parton "Jolene " came on I literally jumped out my seat 😂
No Fleetwood Mac???
Gabriel Ortiz After watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 they're going to hut themselves in the back of the head.
I can't believe only a few of y'all knew who Dolly was! She was probably THE country singer of the 70s!
How are you gonna have a 70s do they know it and not play Earth Wind and Fire, Blondie, Queen, Diana Ross, or Michael Jackson????
And Fleetwood Mac?????
So easy for me!.
All legendary songs no matter when you were born
How can they not have any Zeppelin in this. The confident long haired dude looked like he would've definitely known em.
More old school punk since these kids don't seem to know anything about it. Ramones, Clash, exc
Shocking that nobody recognised the Pistols. Parental neglect!
czgibson Funnily enough, generally the thing that *leads* people to punk.
The fact that they didn't know it was Aerosmith hurts
M G I never knew any of em Lmao
They who, man? 3 knew that
You should do 80's like Heart, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, all of that. Or you could do an only old rock one.
bruh she said beach boys
Jolene is one of the best songs of all time. I love Dolly Partons music
I've learned today that I listened to a lot of 70s music growing up, lol.
Yes, you have Pink Floyd in its prime during this decade, releasing the Wall, Animals, Wish YouWere Here, and one of billboards highest rated albums of all time Dark Side of the Moon and you have them listen to Dolly Parton. There better be a reacts to Pink Floyd on the future or I'm going to revolt
Zggy91 Pink Floyd is 60s
Joan Brunet Verdaguer Pink Floyd started in the 60's with Sid Barret as the song writer and lead singer, but the Pink Floyd that got popular is with Roger Waters as songwriter with him and David Gilmore as the singers . All the albums I mentioned above were released in the 70's
“Dang Jolene’s taking people’s mans” 😂😂😂😂
So funny hearing a teenage boy say this! 😂😂
Fun to watch. Imagine some old dude like me asked to name any artist of today and their songs I would get zero.
More 70's - 90's! They're funny. Or do an episode dedicated to only 1 hit wonders.
I'm here for Bob Marley and that's it.
This just goes to show how awesome the music of that era was. In fourty years I wonder if any of todays music will be remembered like this. Only time will tell.
Khal Drogo I have a feeling Kendrick will be very relevant in 30 years.
FuzzyChup I hope Kendrick doesn't get remembered
is it bad that I have no idea who Kendrick is...unless you are talking about Anna Kendrick, her I know.
He definitely will. TPAB is still the most revolutionary hip-hop album of this decade. I'm sorry, but I understand how one might not enjoy his music, but to not appreciate talent and art is what I don't get.
The Bee Gee's. "Never heard of them." I may cry.
The Bee Gees definitely isn't for everyone one, but they are probably one of the best Australian bands
A great idea:Teens vs Elders 60s music
Pink floyd needed to be on the list
Dolly actually IS Miley's "godmother"!
I never realized how a lot of my favourite songs are from the '70s
TEENS REACT TO PINK FLOYD!
60's music next?
Aidan Salerno Oooh Yeah. With some of The Beatles and The Supremes, the two biggest music acts of that time: )
its sad none of them knew god save the queen
Izzy M. Yeah 🙈
I wonder if they would know the clash ...
probably not
I loved the insights some of these (then) teens had into the songs & times. Shows the durability of a good tune.
Is there a set of "Teens React to 60's Music" videos?
Thank you so much for putting ABBA in this video ❤️😍😁😂😭🤣😆👌👍
Teens react to 60s/70s Rock'n Roll!
JulianIstGay yes!
What if you guys did a lyric breakdown of Hotel California?
I grew up in the 70s, graduating high school at 17 in 1973. I have never heard the Sex Pistols sing anything although I have heard their name before.
I know right? Why didn't they play them the good stuff like maybe...Led Zeppelin?
Me either, before just now. Can't say I feel deprived.
Lmfaooo y'all shady af. At 2:45 the girl says, "No one knows this part" and y'all cut to people singing the part.
No Pink Floyd? Arguably the biggest band from the 70s era.
Jesse True exactly this is bullshit
puttin some scorpions, kiss or quenn wouldn;t hurt don't you think?
The reason I watched that episode was to see if they were going to play Pink Floyd.... Shame. I'll agree with you about being the best band for this era
*cough* Led Zeppelin *cough*
Jesse True Led Zeppelin was bigger
Got them all right
Now, I shall binge '70s music
Goodbye, rest of the world
Am I the only one who is surprised to realize "Dream on" is over 40 years old.
