Several years ago I've bought myself a soldering station, even an expensive multimeter, only to ultimately realize that, despite soldering instructions on the Internet, it wasn't for me at all. Real panic about damaging something didn't allow me to get anything right, even though I first practiced with old computer boards, what even without panic went wrong.
I guess I lost my fear because my father used to fix electronic items in the house and sometimes he asked me to help him and got to solder a few cables. Later when I was around 15 I experimented with soldering cables myself to make RCA to 1/4 connections, very rudimentary but I made them work. For machines like this I wouldn't say I like to mess too much with them but in this case, I felt comfortable knowing that if I break it I have the synthchaser alternative.
Thank you for this tutorial. Please, can you confirm that a Li battery is a valid replacement of the original NiCad? The website you mentioned sells a NiCad, but nowadays all the rechargeable battery are Li. Thank you!
Hi, thanks for watching. Lithium batteries can replace NiCad batteries, for example in the Synthchaser board you'll see there is a battery slot in which you can place 3 Li batteries, in the case of the video I had already the NiCad battery but it is a better alternative to have it the other way. Basically I did it the old fashion way but the other way is a better alternative since you can easily replace the batteries when they die.
cool video!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!

@@NostalgicExplorer I neither had a good father nor anyone who showed me anything.
@@Gerald_Daniel Sorry to hear that, I consider myself lucky for that.
