No.35 Heading Back South...

Hi, and thanks for joining me.
After an enjoyable time on the Macclesfield Canal, it was time to head south again. In the first part of my journey south, I will travel from Kidsgrove to Stone. A cruise that takes me from the Macclesfield Canal onto the Trent and Mersey Canal, then through the Harecastle Tunnel. I spend nights moored in Longport and Westport alongside the lake before reaching the visitor moorings in Stone where I spend a few nights.

Hi Alan, thoroughly enjoying the trip down memory Lane. I did eventually get back on the Ashby Canal where the water level has been extremely low, several of the usual mooring spots you couldn’t stop at as they were silted up but as I met old boating buddies it was a joy to catch up with them 🦆💕
