I love how this is literally tested in action :D I'm here to see how I could use it walking around, not that I do that much or ever yet, without holding it as I still find it looks funny looking like you're holding nothing.
I am thinking, get a length of plastic plumbing tube from the hardware store, fix very firmly into the backpack. Could even be used to add more extension
Hi I see you display hight and speed and slope degree in the video. Is that part of the 360 software provided? or do you need something special to get this in your video?
Attached tightly with the screw fix- camera to stick- the attach tightly to the bag. It really doesn’t swing around at all as you see in these videos! 🤟🤟
Depends on the bag- but with a selection of straps it’s never that hard. Find me on Instagram, @cookiesport - drop me a pic of your bag and I’ll give you an idea how. I’ve not found a bag yet you cannot do it to!
I’ve tried holding my GoPro telescopic stick in one hand, a bit risky you can probably see in a few shots that I’m throwing it up slightly, then rotate my wrist then catch it with the hand reversed to point it towards the back. I’ve tried some backpack mounting options but I didn’t like that I have to remove my backpack every time I go up the chair lift (regulations here in Australia). But I definitely got some good shots and a bunch of mounting options with the back pack, I might need to put up with removing my backpack for some good shots. Here is what I got with holding the stick: ua-cam.com/video/wmILUk7tZ3A/v-deo.html
I track the skiing on STRAVA on my phone. Then download the gpx file. Use the Garmin VIRB studio to sink the gpx data with the video, add the speed and altimeter ect. Seems like like a long job but doest lake long. I've tried a bunch of other ways, but this seems to work the best!

yup, I love the idea and to see it in action, but I really want to really see how it is really attached to the backpack and well... can't see how it is done...
🤣🤣 Pretty sure it’s explained within the first few mins- it then continues to show so other ideas and make it better. Gets some great shots doesn’t it! 🤟🤟🤟

Glad I could help!

Nice idea!
The extension mounts work well too as you can retract them and pack away!

I add those affects after. Track the telemetry data and using overlaying app (like garmin virb) 👍
I’ve got an insta 360 so this will be epic to try out!
So simple to do, give it a go!
Videos way too dark to see anything bad lighting re-shoot
Booooo! 😜
What backpack are you using?
Should it be with a hard shell ?
Any pack will work like this! Or Insta360 make a great bag mount too now! 👍
@@Cookiesports just bought the mount for insta 360. Made my 1st vids its perfect thanks!
How are we not able to see the selfie stick coming out of your physical backpack at 4:38 but we are able to see it in the shadow?
That’s the cool thing about the 360’cameras… the pole is invisible!
Find me on @cookiesport Instagram and you’ll see loads of quick examples! 👍👍
Sort of vampire in reverse!
How do you keep the selfie stick from bouncing around in the backpack? It almost looked like you were showing a weight that attached to the stick.

@@Cookiesports Thanks very much. How do you secure the pole to the bag?

where are you skiing - impressive mountains
Thisnis Alpe d’Huez, France! 👌👌
@@Cookiesports ah, it's been 26 years since my last visit - but still looks great. Heading to Utah next week.
Hey Cookie. Thanks for the video. Could you tell me where are you skiing?
This is all in Alpe d'Huez, France. I'm an instructor and off-piste guide here! 👍
what kind of post processing?
Like editing software? Done the 360 to mp4 on the mobile apps, then use whatever editing suit suits you after that! On this one I used iMovie!

🤩🤩

Why it take 9 minutes to explain this
🤣🤣
