Our generation sees the world not the same as before We might as well just throw it all And live like there's no tomorrow There's no tomorrow We are the ones Who are living under the gun every day You might be gone before you know So live like there's no tomorrow Ain't gonna waste this life There's no tomorrow - you ain't gonna live it for me Believe it The official view of the world has changed In a whole new way Live fast cause if you don't take it You'll never make it So if you understand me And if you feel the same Then you will know what nitro means You'll live like there's no tomorrow - you ain't gonna waste this life There's no tomorrow - you ain't gonna live it for me There's no tomorrow
I saw Offspring live about 3 years ago and they played all their older songs, it was the best concert i've ever seen and it was during a crazy thunderstorm outdoors
i remember when dookie and smash both came out around the same time. looking back - amazing to be a part of that moment. in my mind's eye - they both have lasted the years. but this album is very close to me and fulfills my punk daze of yesteryear. Lookout and Epitaph were great labels, when the word 'label' was a word we lived to not be. (and still do) Keep the Punk.
Imagine it’s 1994, you take the CD out of the case... put it in the Discman, and the first song you hear is this one... To this day, I still get goosebumps every time I listen to it... priceless
I had heard of The Offspring when I was in high school. I graduated 2008. Didn't listen to them from then until just recently. Today they are my favorite band.
I got this album off the shelf at the Brampton public library in 1994 because I couldn't afford to buy it. I sat there listening to it over and over and just in awe of it, and checked it out for the maximum 2 day limit. Gotta say this one stood the test of time.
I remember when this came out , I listened to it constantly an played Ken griffey Jr baseball on super Nintendo ....... grunge rock weed and man in the box
First time listening to the album, 64 years old, at the recommendation of a complete stranger. What have I been missing?! Man, miss that old Superglide, miss that GTO. Don't miss the bluelights, tho'. For some reason when Nitro was playing The Dead Kennedys came to mind. Maybe because I was listening to Iggy Pop and other stuff earlier.
Our generation sees the world Not the same as before We might as well just throw it all And live like there is no tomorrow There's no tomorrow There's no tomorrow We are the ones who are living Under the gun every day You might be gone before you know So live like there is no tomorrow (Ain't gonna waste this life) There's no tomorrow (Ain't gonna live it for me) There's no tomorrow (Ain't gonna waste this life) There's no tomorrow (Ain't gonna live it for me) Hey, believe it The official view of the world has changed (In a whole new way) Live fast ’cause if you don't take it You'll never make it
This was the first album I ever loved, still love it to death... thank you terrible brother Brent Busby for leaving it behind.... whither, blister, burn, n peel too...
Great song, one of their best. It’s crazy how the generation they are referring to in this song, Gen X, is now pushing 50. Think of all that has happened since 1994. Mind boggling.
Played before every game... When I was 16, thousands of people thought I was the craziest person the world will see. Jumping from 5yard line to end zone...crazy
I don't think today's teens will ever be able to make music that is as raw and unfiltered as this is. Today it's all too bleached and curated, and real emotion has been completely taken away by social media and wokeness. No-one just says what they feel anymore. Songs don't give you this surge of "fuck yeah" anymore. There's no relatability. I mean, I could feel these songs in my bones when I was a teen. Now I'll hear a good song maybe once in a while but I'll forget about it so easily because it had no real impact on how I feel or think. There's no more guts and realness left.
I guess you haven't heard about 2 Swedish guys who wrote nearly all songs that were in Top 10's around the globe for past 20 years (give or take). If anything happen to them - I heard of 2 U.S. fellas who already had replaced them in time of need, so it's all good x] N.B Don't get me wrong - mainstream is long gone for me, so I have no idea what clowns now rules circus x]
People crap on them. Is punk. Ain't punk. The big argument. Lol. However this is literally the HIGHEST selling independently released album of all time. And it's great.
Shirley bassey does a very good version of this song. I couldn't believe it when i heard it today. Recently i am finding out so much about certain songs recently. When looking into them more.
When the tour for this record hit NYC, I got a concussion in the moshpit at Roseland Ballroom. I had a headache for a while but it was definitely worth it!
Damn does this bring back memories! After maybe 15 years suddenly this track pops in my mind out of nowhere. And now I'm 16 going all the way with my very first girlfriend again!
20 AÑOS DE smash el disco mas vendido por un sello discográfico independiente, lo mejor The Offspring y Smash son míticos, debe haber algún conciertazo celebrando ello este AÑO 2014
Live like theres a permanent tommorow. If the past is reflecting everyday bad, and the permanent tommorow is judged by the past, then that permanent tomorrow is bad. 🤠👽🌞⚡️⚡️⚡️🥶
I can't express in words how obsessed I was with the offspring when I was 11 or 12 memerized every lyric of every song till Americana then I stopped listening to there new stuff after that, became a teenager and got into cooler music I guess, still love first few albums though

30th anniversary of this legendary album. The Offspring is forever! \m/
I saw Offspring live about 3 years ago and they played all their older songs, it was the best concert i've ever seen and it was during a crazy thunderstorm outdoors
That sounds badass
O my god
Hearing the offspring without a thunderstorm sounds like a fake

Keep the Punk.
Smash was my first album and Dookie was my second. Still jam em till this very day in 2019
They are both truly complete albums, front to back perfection, and I consider myself a serious music aficionado.
Same here!
well said dude
Imagine it’s 1994, you take the CD out of the case... put it in the Discman, and the first song you hear is this one... To this day, I still get goosebumps every time I listen to it... priceless

I was lucky to see Offspring live in the 90s. ❤
Просто великолепная музыка от ранних Оффспрингов.Один из лучших альбомов.Ее слушали 10-15 лет назад и еще столько же будут слушать, а может и больше.
The nostalgia is strong with this one. Mid 90s, early 20s, blasting this in my little Chevy Sprint.
I remember when this came out , I listened to it constantly an played Ken griffey Jr baseball on super Nintendo ....... grunge rock weed and man in the box
Proudtobe white haha I only played that when I was in fourth grade to look at the stadiums...awesome game
Lol i played super Mario world non stop while listening to this I can’t hear this album without thinking about that game
Mariners were my team back then. mid 90's was the best time to be a Seattle fan. that swing was both power and grace 💯

We had the best music .
This song is one of the best by the offspring
Drum roll at start is awesome
This was the soundtrack to my life when I was 14. Takes me back to the days of running around after school and getting stoned! CLASSIC!
This album always takes me back...cranking it while driving to surf class and parking at the Mermaid in Hermosa Beach.
90s rock was the last good rock
Superb drumming.

Uno de mis favoritos de la banda. Ojalá vinieran algún dia a Uruguay. No Viene nadie acá lpm
Sounds like the nastalgia of wilder days gone by.. i was 20 when this came out in stores.. Loved it THEN... Love it NOW..
Great song, one of their best. It’s crazy how the generation they are referring to in this song, Gen X, is now pushing 50. Think of all that has happened since 1994. Mind boggling.
Un álbum muy completo...una maravilla de los 90's
Og listener here. I remember when this album came out. Middle school skateboarder and this was epic. Ignition was great!! Then they went pop punk
Most underrated album of all time. It has to be experienced fully from start to finish.
Underrated?
You're aware that this is the most successful punk album of all time?
This album rocks. 100/100 But a little short.
