Man, the commentary at the end of these videos gets you every time, lol. "Hagiography" was a great word to learn today. I'm reminded of Hagia Sofia - guessing those words of.. worship have the same root. Speaking of worship, this video also reminded me of how the Bible lists out genealogies that I don't love trying to read but can appreciate the intention of. There is something meaningful about a person being individually recognized by their name, even if you know little else of them.

Just started reading the new book, "How the Word is Passed" which describes just this essential reckoning we all need when we see the past, and how it has been depicted to us.
