It's called "opinion" and it's what diversifies people. And I believe our "MILTARY" has many many men that enlisted, fought and died for our freedom to speak that opinion. I actually appreciate these thanks list of the 5 mods, in his opinion not to do, because it saved me time. Then I wasted my saved time to remember the fallen and state my opinion and thoughts...blah blah blah. Pedal Commander is awesome. If you cut your teeth on carburetored engines and like the instant response from your gas pedal then this product is for you. I drove my 2012 5.7L Hemi for almost 58,000 miles before install of the Pedal Commander and there is a ridiculous difference. I was hugely skeptical before I bought it. I did some research and decided to buy it. It’s as responsive now as any old carbureted engine I ever owned. There’s 36 levels of adjustment too for customization of your pedal to your liking. I can’t say a single bad thing about this product. Period. Anyone I’ve ever known to install one has been insanely happy too. That’s my experience with that product and many others. Throttle response is critical and when you jam your foot to the floor and there’s a crazy delay and you don’t feel the raw power that you should feel coming from a Hemi, order one of these and then let’s see. I’ve turned my vehicle into a beast with just one of these. K&N cold-air kit a little while later and my truck feels, sound, (sounds way better with cold air kit) reacts like a whole new vehicle. Next will be a CNC 5 axis ported throttle body (85mm Moes Performance) a couple high flow catalytic converters and flowmaster cat back American Thunder or Outlaw exhaust system. Then my daily driver/work truck will be done besides a lower temp thermostat and maybe a few other things.

I love the Pedal Commander. I have a Ram 3500 with a 6.4L. Before the pedal commander I would give it some gas and it would "think" about it. After pedal commander I get an instant response. It made me like my truck even more. It doesn't add horsepower just makes the throttle faster.

Just a note on the resonator for the 5-speed Ram, if you delete the muffler and leave the resonator on you won't get back popping like a regular straight pipe and it sounds like a glass pack exhaust. Quiet at idle, but barks like hell when you get on it. Cost me $30, sounds like $1,200

    1. Wheels are for looks. 2. Pedal Commander is for feel, takes away the sluggishness of stock cars. 3. Catch can is to keep engine clean for those who wants hundreds of thousands of miles. Engines degrade over time, catch cans help. 4. Resonator I think is stupid but w.e. 5. Tb spaces does increase air if you have intake, major upgrade no but I won’t void warranty and makes cool sound.

Catch cans are honestly really cheap, if you have a forced induction car or truck they are very useful catching blowby oil. It keeps it from being returned back into the intake manifold. You will never gain power from a catch can but you will maintain your engine and cleanliness within the intake manifold, throttle body and combustion chamber

The resonators are actually there to cut down on the cabin noise lol.. the only thing that happens by taking them off is it’s louder in the cabin but not outside or.. more so on larger cab versions.. it’s specifically for keeping the exhaust sound out of the cabin as much as possible. People think it helps cause it’s louder in the drivers seat lol

Catch can isn't really about performance in the direct sense, it's about preventative maintenance on direct injection engines to prevent valve "caking". A caked up valve will indeed inhibit airflow, and oil mist can screw with octane, but it's mostly to prevent DI engine valve caking..

I have never used a pedal commander, but everyone who has one raves about it. Furthermore, my jaguar f pace has 4 different driving modes (dynamic, normal, eco, snow/rain) which are very distinct as far as throttle response. The difference between normal and dynamic is night and day! So if the pedal commander is anything like that, it’s absolutely worth the money.

As for the throttle body spacers, it depends on the vehicle, I put one on my '92 K1500, I believe it was an airraid with the helical inserts, best thing I've done to it hands down, I doubt it makes any more power or mpgs but the throttle response is 10x better, but then again it's a 190hp shitty flowing 350. Just depends on the vehicle.

Re: Catch can - the reason the manufacturers don't put catch cans in is that the oil flowing back into the intake won't come back to bite them via warranty - the effects will really start to show up post-warranty. Using the argument 'the manufacturer doesn't do it so it's a waste' is flawed - the manufacturer doesn't have the consumer's interests in mind UNLESS it impacts the manufacturer's bottom line.

I would only add that people put wheels and tires for looks, if someone is doing it for performance they are not the brightest

The catch can DOES have a plus, although not really in the "PERFORMANCE" ASPECT... It strips MOST of the oil from the air being pulled back into the intake manifold. With the barrel type manifold the oil will tend to form drips (that over time will act./grow like stalactites) at the top of the manifold where it cools and solidifies. Over time they will affect the smooth airflow the manifold was designed for. The rest of them, you are dead on ! The spacer just gives you a place to screw your nitrous nozzle into, if not using nitrous, yeah...you just added a pound of DEAD WEIGHT !

Catch cans are not a performance mod though bro it’s more of a maintenance mod to keep your engine cleaner and catch all that extra oil from sludging up ur engine and I think the only reason why it doesn’t come from the factory stock is because of a emissions thing that the manufacturer probably didn’t wanna pay the government extra money for but yea it’s a take it or leave it thing and as for big wheels I’m running OEM 22” SRT-10 Rims with 4.56 rear gears I have no problems getting out of the hole

I will have to say, the catch can is actually an excellent mod to have, after 75-100k miles take off your throttle body and intake manifold and look at the sludge build up on it, think about where that goes... that’s all going into the top end.. I put one on my Hemi and cleaned my intake manifold and installed a bbk throttle body and I know it’s reducing the sludge because most of it is in the can... for 60-110$ I don’t think it’s a bad mod. Great video though!

Hey love the channel but there are some information on the pedal commander now that more people have them it will help at the track . I agree the price is way high but just try one. For awd or 4x4 you get stupid fast 60ft times and a faster mph. if you have a 2x4 all your going to do is a big ass burnout unless you have a good drag pack.

  • @joshkrause2977

The catch can isnt for performance it's about keeping your engine cleaner. if you get a new vehicle every time you pay it off sure a catch can is not going to do anything for you. If you plan on keeping the vehicle for an extended period of time that is where it shines.

  • @Fix-it-tony

Catch cam is not for performance, it’s to keep oil out of your intake and intake runners. You’ll end up with excessive carbon when it burns up.

Changing the oil or using good quality oil has nothing to do what catch cans do. With direct injection, oil residue in the intake isn’t cleaned off by fuel. Catch can collects the residue so it doesn’t build up in your intake. Port injection solves this problem. But if your engine is only direct injection, then catch cans will keep your engine cleaner and should require less maintenance once it gets older.

When did a catch can become a performance mod? It's just meant to keep dirty oil from getting into the intake and causing carbon buildup or other issues. It's far from being the worst thing you can do to an engine.

Now granted a resonator delete does nothing for performance, but if you honestly can’t hear that the but deleting the resonators, the exhaust is much more harsh sounding, than you should consider hearing aids. Personally I don’t like the harshness of a resonator delete, but I can hear the difference as clear as day. Just me. Maybe it’s better for you that you can’t tell.

  • @williammorgan5987

Hey bud the resonator thing, it’s a little misinformation. I had a super 10 and only that with no resonators, too loud, my exhaust shop actually added one in front of the muffler and up closer to the cats. It sounds so much better with that much more toned and not so explosively loud on cold start. By all means people keep them where they are or add one in front of your aftermarket your neighbors will thank you
