@@towboatjeff not the paint, body panels, labor, and possibly the swapped motor from J&J. I understand the other stuff was sponsored, but the coin of the spirit is running deep here. Hopefully our boy is getting some youtube ad revenue as well. It's an entertaining build.

Very cool. Definitely put a front bumper to match roof rack. A tire holder on the back aswell that matches top
I think a "Bull Bar" style guard on the front, and just a "straight" bar contoured with the vehicle lines in the back would be pretty cool and practical. A spare tire rack on the hatch would look cool, but you'd either need super beefy struts on the hatch, or make the rack a "swing out" style one so you can still open your hatch normally. That would require a lot of fab work though. I enjoyed the series, your beetle is a beastle now.
Way beyond what I thought it was going to look like at the beginning. The rack and rims really tie in the rusted apocalypse look, its killer man well done

This car came out great!! So unique. Folks at home, be super careful if you mess with a cheap spring compressor like shown in the video. You can go to a local shop and they use nice wall mounted ones that are way safer. Might be worth a few $$

Looks great! You should make at jet ski with the same color scheme. Please put some rubber protection pads on the mounts to the roof rack. Great idea with a rear mounted spare tire, and crash bars.

ALL GOOD BUUUUT. Needed to go with the BFGOODRICH ALLTERRAIN shoes, that was going to be the right off road look.
I honestly love how it turned out. I think that one last finishing touch that would be really cool would be to place a spare off-road tire on the roof rack or maybe on the back. I would say maybe some rally style lights would look cool on the bumper, but you already have them on the rack, so maybe just a brush bar would be nice. Lastly, I would also suggest maybe some small fender flares to make the tires a little more flush, but that is just my personal preference.
Now you need Fender Flares to making it look perfect!

You can always hook up a back up camera so this way if you can see your head you do you know exactly when they stop you don’t have to rely on somebody else.
Now that looks epic we'll done zack but please put some locktite on the wheel spacer bolts as they do work loose without you knowing 👍😀

I would give you a 10/10 score! Willing to chart your own route. I suspect we will see many more rust paint cars arise in the next years.
I would recommend people study a few rusty vehicles first before applying the rust pattern… to try to mimic real rust formations
You need a bumper bar like on a old Baja bug with two spotlights. Maybe a stinger exhaust like an old beetle as well.
I wouldn’t add any weight to the front, especially not a winch. Since you are in Florida I would add some nice looking traction boards to the rack. Most likely if you do get stuck, it will be in sand.

The sell roof racks that you can hook your safari rack too and take the weight off the roof so you can mount your spare tire up there

Tint the tail lights! Put bully bar on front with 2 more lights, and friken mud flaps!
You should tint the front windows just a little darker. And also add a tint brow on the windshield. Make it look even better.
You should install the wheel lip moldings that came only on the Beetle DUNE. They are sort of like a flare.

I believe if you could find some longer shocks you might get a little more lift!! Kinda looks like your shocks are stretched all the way out and keeping the springs from fully extending

don't forget the suspension will settle as you drive it then you will see the final setting
If you bring the lift down slightly, by about 1/2 inch, the tyre rubbing issue should be solved and it will look better too. You should be able to reduce the height by reducing the 1 inch lift plates.
Cool cool build cool also idea on the whls where it looks kinda like circular triangle D shaped spokes those lines can be painted with powder coating the same color as the car to look kinda like pen striping on the new whls / rims and it may make the whls / rims stand out lil more yes really like this build really cool and bless great healthy peaceful safe journeys travels and happy camping

ok my 3 cents worth, the paint i agree it took it finished for me to like it.
The only difficulty i have is the runs that came when you sprayed that final solution. i'm having a hard time with them.
2nd little advice the rock lights above the tires i think should be mounted on the outer side of well so that when if needed you have to work anything the light is not shining in your eyes
last 2 thoughts are rear back up light down low and the front needs yellow fog lights
oh comment for 2nd. i prefer time lapse mechanical to TL body work, LOL

Definitely one of the coolest ’new’ Beetles out there! I think it would look cool with a bumper bar on the front.. maybe with two more round lights :) Also a cb radio might be cool too, with the long antenna on the roof :)
I want to start off saying that I dont like anything about this build really, but I commend you on the work you did. Nothing is what I would want for myself but I can appreciate your craftmanship and I think you nailed the look you were going for. It's all well done I'm glad you're really into. Regardless of it not being to my taste, the process was still really fun to watch and your excitement about the project was a joy to follow. Well done!

Use the other switch for floor lights either in the front or back
For the front a bull bar would be great to add detail but not be overwhelming. For the rear I think the spoiler needs to be bigger. It’s looks disproportionate now with the lift and tires.
Looks great man good job and I saw your ultimate rebuilds pontoon boat console/table on one of the Pontoon groups I'm on someone was asking if anyone is done any custom consoles and had that picture so he answered his own question LOL but anyway you did a good job on it I love my pontoon boat and I wish I was small enough to fit in a VW LOL

If u tighten suspension without the cars full weight on it while still in the air it will sit higher. Final suspension tightening should be done while on ground.
