The 'James' wholecuts are spectacular...I have a pair of wholecuts - wore them to Skyfall in Concert in Toronto...but don't really get too much use of out them as they are pretty formal...the Molton on the other hand I'm VERY excited about - they are stylish yet durable. Beautiful, yet practical...something you can get a lot of daily wear out of and either dress up or down.
Good points all around!
Git.
If you can visit the factory shop at Northampton England it’s so worth it. The savings are immense and yes you will find the Bond shoes on display. The factory is amazing and the fact that the store is located in the premises is great. Crockett and Jones know how to make world class shoes and for 007.
I'm glad C&J have the Bond connection, they deserve every bit of praise and success. What I particularly like about C&J is before I ordered my first pair the team in London's Burlington Arcade spent time with me to find the size AND the last to fit me perfectly. I have special orders made on that last and can specify certain other non standard things too - I go for a city sole over leather on my shoes because I live in a wet climate and choose a commando sole over Dainite for boots because of mud and wet grass. It costs a little more but as I learned as a young man you should always invest in good shoes and a good bed because if you're not in one you're in the other.
Oh I am ordering the Molton’s ASAP.
They may be my favorite....
They do make lovely shoes, looking forward to the full review David! The Crockett & Jones factory is about a mile away from where I live in Northampton, England.
Oh very cool!
Adam Loake that’s cool and I have a pair of Loakes not far away either 😀
Richard Dunn That’s cool Richard, my family’s company. I understand that Daniel Craig wore a pair of Loake boots in Casino Royale
@@adamloake Do you know which ones please? M.
@@rovercoupe7104 A now discontinued model called Trapper, the chukka boots he wore in the pre title assassination fight and scene with M in Nassau
Love your excitement and enthusiasm! Can’t wait for the reviews!
awesome video, thanks!! Can't wait for the unboxing experience!!!!
It's coming!
Hi David. Fantastic video as always!
Can I ask you where you picked the pics from (Bond in the woods and in M's office?
Crockett & Jones supplied me the images.
And you think they'll publish the stills?
The coat looks lovely. If it's to be worn with a shirt I believe it needs tailoring. As an overcoat to accommodate the thickness of a suit jacket, it's spot on
I have several of the 348s, and even though they are "only" benchgrade, they are higher on the pecking order than my Carminas and Saint Crispins. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of wholecuts, I'm looking forward to your unboxing. Also I'm not sure if you took them out for this video, but you should also consider storing your Highburys with shoe trees.
Got 'em and use them! :)
“Plants”. Great review, David, and it’s very cool you have the complete outfit.
Crockett & Jones is about real refinement.. Lots of Bond afficionados but I like your vid's Mr. Zaritsky. The Bond vibe is awesome.
Great review. The Highbury's are such great shoes.
Try the Tetbury....you will love it!
Just received my Moltons! This is an awesome boot! Arrived faster than some local deliveries!
How have they held out for you?and what is the sizing like?
Those Moultons are tempting! I could use another pair of great casual boots!
Love the channel just found it
Great video Dave! Love the stock photos, I can't wait to see your un-boxing. Hope to pick up a pair of Moltons myself.
Great videos!
Thank you so much!
Great shoes!
You better buy shoe tree for C&J , will maintain the right form and absorb the humidity. P.S. Sorry for my english. Have a nice day.
Shoe trees are a must!
Great video David!
C&J -No time to day in your live.
Dear David,
I wonder why you never made a Top 24 Best James Bond movies based on your opinion?
Still on my to do list!
It better come with a GPS tracker or a hidden phone.
You never know! :)
Imran Becks it’s called radio 😉
I own a couple of trench coats but that duster needs to be in my life.
The Moltons look badass. I prefer it more than the James because you can wear them with a suit or casual. They do look a lot familiar to the chukka boots Craig wore in the scene with the black Tom Ford cardigan in QoS.
Moltons are way too chunky to wear with a suit, but yes very versatile nonetheless.
I knew Last 34-A. Last 34-A was a friend of mine. You, sir, are no Last 34-A. (Butserioiuslyfolks, very nice shoes and keep up the good work!)
David please get some shoe trees to retain the shape of your shoes.
Sorry David, Pronunciation Police here again. It's pronounced Hibuurry, not High-Berry. Great video👞👍
Great video. But to be fair. I still don't like this coat. The shoes and shirt are great. But the coat just dosn't do it for me. I would go for the first 12th doctor coat for Doctor Who.
Completely agree. The coat I really don't like. Same with the Tom Ford jeans , they just look old and ill-fitted especially when paired with the Sperry's - I don't think it's a good stylistic choice at all - but again, just my opinion. There are plenty of clothes I love from Bond!
What pants is he wearing in Norway? Were those identified? 🤔
Massimo Alba baby cord in black. Re-issue coming.
TheBondExperience awesome thanks, looking forward to it!
Will the Shanghai Royale peacoat be released this year?
If you're going to get a chukka from Crockett & Jones, go with the Brecon model.
Hey David, will NTTD really release in this year? Im too afraid to keep my hope up.....
My theory is if UK & London particularly is put under more restrictions possibly a second Lockdown. NTTD wil be put back.
It’s Loake’s Parliament for me. M.
David, how do you pay for all of this?
Aren’t the ‘James’ just the ‘Alex’ with some OO7 accessories and branding? I have a pair of the Alexs’ and can confirm they are perfect with evening wear. 👌🏼
They are similar in design and use the same 348 Last as the Alex, Highbury, etc. However they are "hand Grade" so even higher quality leather, more processes by hand and the soles are higher quality sole which is bark tanned (a lengthy but higher quality process). The sole also has hidden stitching which is a feature of the highest quality shoes. The Alex are of course also superb.
James Bond wore the Alex in Skyfall and Spectre.
marky mark thank you - I appreciate the explanation 👍🏼
@@dave_1685 Your welcome, I saw the "James" in the Window of C&J Birmingham store today they look the business! The box and everything really looks cool.
A lovely shoe. But at £850 ! I don't think so. Do they sell the box & paraphernalia that goes with it. I'd be up for that. I'd put my M&S shoes in the box..to the untrained eye i might get away with that. Lol
I think it's sold as a set.
👍
It’s not “High-berry” but “High-brie”, like the cheese, right?
!!Ahh jajajaja. ! pie' plano....
I dig the C&J’s, but what I really need is his room full of writers to tell me what to say and not to say to sound debonair at all times.
What would you do if they decided never to make another bond film
I live in Derby, UK. Please pronounce it Dar-bee.
Ugggh, so sorry...i will get it next time!
@@TheBondExperience keep putting out the awesome content and I'll forgive you.
Also the Dainite soles are pronounced Day-night. So called because the manafacturers did twin shifts to meet demand, theachine were running day and night.
would it be the same for the football matches? e.g. the London derby
@@roskes Yes! Except there’s no such thing as the ‘London derby’ , but there is a north London derby (Spurs/Arsenal) or Manchester derby (Utd/City)...just two examples, plenty more
Wait... do you think you’re Daniel Craig?
LOL....this is a channel where we discuss the Bond lifestyle, locations, clothing, drink etc....not Daniel Craig impersonations...welcome
Love the moltons, but I don't think I'll ever get used to the norway outfit... It seems completely out of place in a bond movie. Craig should've taken a step back with his outfit choices.
I love your content David but every time i hear you mispronouncing the name Massimo it drives me crazy!! LOL!! it is M*A*ssimo. Not Mass*i*mo. Please make an effort to say it right. It is one of the most common Italian names. :D
They don't age very well judging by your pair.
