Technically that's not a repair, that's a restoration, and he saved the customer $90 USD, for some customers that's a great deal, plus they get to keep their favorite shoes.
Unless this shoe had a sentimental value, I’d just purchase a brand new pair 😅 Having said that, these boots are masterfully done to their former glory!
@@michaelc9896 I completely agree. If the upper is viable, I'd have them repaired too. It is healthier for the environment and economy too, if that matters to you.
incredible job ..i'd love to be able to do this and repair my own pair instead of needlessly buying new pairs when they wear-out too much and i'm practically walking through them
Why even buy a pair of repairable shoes when the reparation is just as expensive as a new pair.... Could probably buy 2 pairs of just as good quality just without the added complexity of a goodyear welted chelsea.
Yeah its kind of silly. When I was young and in the time of my parents and grandparents, cobblers were plentiful and affordable. You'd go to a cobbler because they were cheaper than getting a new pair. Now, cobblers are hard to find, and when you find them they're just as expensive as a new pair of shoes. The smallest repair they'll do is a heel cap for $50 and they'll reject all but the expensive shoe repairs. Also, for $600 you'd think he would at least use metal shanks and sewn in gemming or foot bed.
OUTSTANDING JOB, WELL DONE, MR. COBBLER. Beautiful restoration, looks new.
Amazing work, the final result blew me away.
these are now new shoes with a "broken in " shoe patina. Love it, hope the customer was happy.
What a great job on those shoes I can’t believe how well they turned out they look fantastic
The customer must love those boots. I wouldn't pay €600 for a shoe repair. Fabulous work though. You are an artist.

Agree but I'm also glad we got to see this rebuild
I hate breaking in new boots. I’d rather have my old pair formed to my foot as long as they turned out this good.

Vad är fördelen med plastgelänk jämfört med trä?
Den går inte av. Trägelänkar bryts ofta av med tiden.
Wünschte es wären meine
Schöne Arbeit
Loved your channel. However, the music is too eery for what you do. All the best!
Как у нас говорят, из говна сделал конфетку😄👍

El arreglo por 600 euros? Acá en argentina me compro 10 pares de esas botas del mejor cuero. Vaya a robar a otro lado.
