- I couldn't leave NAMM without covering two of the most exiting new pedals I saw there. I love Caroline Guitar Co. I love Philippe (who is hysterically funny), and I love their two upcoming products, the Somersault Lo-Fi Modulator and Megabyte Lo-Fi Delay. So let's dive into a talk with the brain behind it all, and hear the pedals in action.

THE BEST pedal company! I will always support Caroline pedal company! So juiced for both these pedals
Same here, man! Caroline will always have my support ❤
My desert Island Pedal Company.. Caroline Guitar Co is another level of goodness.
Great people, making great pedals. They are easy to love ❤
I want an 8-layer burrito.
Who doesn't? I'm already dreaming of 9 layers, man! 😂
So excited for the Megabyte! The Kilobyte is my favorite delay. Thanks Stefan & Philippe!
Stoked to hear you’re as excited as me ❤️
The Sleudian Fripp!
Think that will be the name of me and Philippe's new band 😂❤
NAMM looked really awesome this year. Every single one of my favorite music oriented youtubers hanging out and playing neat new things...
Someday I hope to go. Maybe I should work on getting videos out myself!
NAMM was wild this year. Probably the busiest and noisiest NAMM I've experienced so far. It's exhausting but extremely fun. Hope you get to experience the madness someday ☺
You are so genuine and sincere, Stefan. I'm glad I have a brother out there from another mother! :) Cheers dude. Keep making killer content!
Supremely kind of you, man! It's hard to hide the excitement when you encounter gear and people who are beyond rad ❤
Thank you for this man! They both sound so good and Philippe is the best. I already knew I'd be buying the Megabyte because the Kilobyte is my favorite delay ever, but it's awesome to finally hear the Somersault too. Sounds amazing!
Happy to be able to deliver, my dude! Philippe is a sweetheart. I just wanna live in his sphere of awesomeness. He's just so kind and sooooo funny! 😂Both Megabyte and Somersault are gonna kill. Somersault is honestly one of the finest modulation pedals I've heard in my lifetime so far. The chorus part of it just sounds monumental ❤
It’s like the second coming of the Mod Zero pedal. Love it
So glad to see you outside your dark room ! Love thins interview.
You're a real and passionate person ! :)
But I love my dark room. I can sit with my feelings and deep emotions alone there 😂😂😂 But yeah, I am a real person, and I actually like to get out once in a while and talk to people. Philippe is a wonderful person to chat to. So funny and so passionate about his work. Happy you enjoyed it, dude ❤
Everyone here also love your Dark Room... ^^
A little tour video in this video would be nice, to know how/what do you work with ? :)
Aghhh! So EXCITED! This was awesome to wake up to.
No doubt! I always check for a new Stefan video, because the notification doesn't always notify.😕 But, today I got great news from one of my favorite companies.
I can't imagine ever taking my Kilobyte and Météore off my board, as they are my most used time pedals. I can stack any effect into, or after them, and get awesome sounds.
Even when I get a Megabyte, I may just run it into the other two, for some dual Byte Madness.....
CorbCorbin I hear you dude! I’m waiting for my income tax to come in so I can buy the Meteore, Kilobyte, and parabola. All thanks to Stefan! And when the megabyte comes out, im gonna buy that too haha
Alex Jaskula
Yeah, the Parabola is next on my list. I have a Subdecay Vagabond Harmonic Trem, but that Parabola does some unique things, and of course that Havoc switch is always an awesome option to have. They should be standard, on all pedals. 😀
Caroline Guitar Co, is an awesome company! Thanks Stefan fun stuff.
The Caroline gang are the best. They are all so much fun. You gotta hear these pedals in real life, when you get the chance. They sound huge!
megabyte my fav delay ever
It’s so good!
Philippe is the best!
He so is! Love that dude ❤️
Looks and sounds great. I have been searching for a good chorus ever since I sold my Boss and have yet to find it. The closest I have come is the Keeley Seafoam which is pretty awesome but still doesn't have that thick pretty tone that the Boss had so I think I might have to check out that Somersault and yeah, Philippe seems like a really cool dude.
That Somersault sounds incredible
Oh, man! It’s unbelievable. And here you’re hearing it in the midst of NAMM noise hell. Wait until you hear it in real life or on a totally clean recording. It just sounds out of this world amazing ❤️
@@thepedalzone Thanks for getting this sound/footage. Looking forward to this pedal and to your official demo of it.
Those both sound amazing! Wouldn't mind upgrading my Kilobyte to a Megabyte!
The extended delay time really opens up a ton of new sounds. Love the way the modulation and havoc switch react once you get into the longer delay times. Just infinite waves of soothing lo-fi ambience.
welp. really wish it wasnt set for a late summer release but that megabyte is gonna be my new main delay for sure
Good things are worth waiting for, and the Megabyte is gonna be killer! ☺
Same here, love the Kilobyte! I expected more reviews of their pedals. Got my vote :)
Kilobyte = Love. Megabyte = MEGA LOVE! ❤
1024x as much love as the Kilobyte?
You have the scoop, on one of my top three companies!!!
Updating the Kilo!! Somersault modulation!!!
Awesome Sauce all over.
Beautiful sounds. That Sommersault, is very interesting, and the Megabyte is adding to the Kilo. I'm behind, I still need a Parabola!
Why are his pedals not on any other channels so far?
Caroline are the best! The only explanation I have for there not being more content out there about these pedals is that Philippe's manly presence can be intimidating. Not like in a bad way, but his rugged handsomeness and virile presence just makes you feel like he's unapproachable. That's at least my theory 😂❤
ThePedalZone
😂
Hope you had a great show, and have safe journey back home.
Thank you! What mic did you use?
......holy moly
Indeed! They just sound so good ❤
Can we get a pedal called the 8 Layer Burrito! Please Phlipi
Man!!! The world needs that!
Hey Stefan could you let us know what the controls do? Evidently the top right is lag time and the bottom right is speed, what about the other two? Really excited about the Somersault, was hoping it would release a little earlier!
I honestly can't remember. I believe that sonar/wave-thing is depth, but can't remember what the top left control is (one of them is depth, that's for sure). The right toggle switches between triangle and square wave, and the left toggle switches between a bright and dark modulation voicing. Somersault is gonna be worth the wait. I was completely blown away by how great it sounded.
Ben from Caroline here. The knobs from the top left are Mix (goes fully wet for Vibrato), Delay Time (lag), Speed, and Depth. Switches are bright/dark and wave shape.
Thanks for this, Ben! It was great meeting you at NAMM. And thanks for playing some tasty guitar in this video. You really showed off how great your new pedals sound ❤
@@benjaminkerley Thanks for the response Ben. You guys really killed it on this chorus, the sounds on this thing are totally awesome and definitely will be replacing my Julia. Also have to mention my love for my Kilobyte #2552 assembled by you. Great work from Caroline all around
Main differences between kilo and mega?
Gabriel Addenbrooke - Longer delay time and tap tempo
I guess the Megabyte is a great device for ambient music! What do you think Stefan? :)
Sure it is! Feed that sucker into some lush reverb and you're golden 👍
You're golden... Hahaha! Genius! :)
Can the Megabyte do 100% wet mix?🤔
Guys, just kiss and get it over with. 😂
What happens off cam, stays off cam 😉

I wanna smoke weed with these dudes in the countryside, and jamarama with all our weird pedals...
Definitely up for some weird pedal jamarama, but I'm more into beer than weed. If there's both, then we'll all have a great time ❤
