Sat here at nearly 58 years old, drinking with Mr. S.Mirnoff . Thinking back to the days...before I was flabby, tired, fed up...Thanks Inspirals, it's like yesterday for me once more.. 12".❤️
Very emotional piece of Music for me this, " Move " by the " Inspiral Carpets ". It saddens me and upsets me the death of Craig " Gilly " Gill the Inspiral Carpets drummer in 2016, he was such a nice man. I like the Chords, Melodies, drums, percussion and Vocals in " Move " which are Lush, Melancholic, Flat and Smooth sounding plus Vivid, Intense, Spatial and Flowing. It is a delightful Tune. God bless you Craig Gill and my condolences to his Family and Friends, Rest in Peace. Antonio Futura Tiani3574 Ancoats Milesplatting Northern Quarter Little Italia Manchester.
I love listening to this Song by the Inspiral Carpets titled Move as it reminds me of being a teenager in 1988 - 1991 when I worked in Eastern Bloc Records and reminds me of my Girlfriend called Annette Edmondson who worked there as a Sales Assistant/Manager and my Girlfriends Jacqueline Lillian Watkins and Billie Jo Upton. It is a beautiful piece of Music. Antonio Futura Tiani3574 in Ancoats/Milesplatting Manchester Northern Quarter Little Italia.
Saw them on tour last year @ Waterfront, Norwich, atmosphere was electric,I was touched again by the hand of Inspiraldom, still cool as fuck, still mooing! best gig ive been to for years!!
I have met nearly every band member of inspiral carpets Tom Hingley, Martyn Walsh and Clint Boon and I'm really good friends with Clint, we have met a couple accessions
ive met martyn walsh a few times at a friends recording studio (quick plug LP studios stockport) such a down to earth guy just reafirmed my liking of the band, he is music industry consultant theses days hopefully this should promote some excellent sounds out of the area and we might have our wonderfull madchester scene back
Seen them twice once at Glasgow the other time was Newcastle at the may flower or may theatre, any and dek were behind us in the cue, well being Scottish we gave them dog's abuse, this was back in 91/92
Im an 18 year old canadian and i love bands like this and the stone roses, i wish i grew up in England, id fuckin love to be a member of a football firm and get in brawls. Now thats livin it up!
@Mister Sifter its not a lazy comment. If you ask younger people today if they have heard of Oasis or The Stone Roses the answer will probably be yes. Ask them if they have heard of the Inspiral Carpets the chances are they wont have. Yes they did have sucess but I dont feel that they reached the national and international acclaim that they deserved.
Its easy for the kids these days to take the piss out of these bands but at the time they were COOL AS FUCK!!! You can keep ya Franz Ferdinand etc. Kids now didnt have times like us...No way!!
i remember it coming out the same time as fools gold and the mondays hallellujah, which was far inferior to this but was a much bigger hit for some reason

Greatest days of my life!
To be 18/19 in 1990 💚💚💚
The most under rated of the Madchester bands.
Kin right. The rest of those lot depended on image while the carpets relied on songs.
...but they were better than that and before that..
Amazing. Changed my life this track. Love you Tom Hingley
Feel like having a mushy brew now and a walk in the meadows for an hour or seven.
Crazy days!
😆
Craig Gill one of the very best so glad to have saw you in action RIP mate. MOO
RIP Craig Gill my thoughts go out to your family at this sad time x

RIP Gilly ❤ . The loss of my 80s Hacienda, Venue, DeVilles, Monday night Ritz idols. Now I know I'm old and just waiting to die....😢
I was at the concert the live footage is from, the Hacienda 1989. Takes me right back.

Great band❤
Better tunes than the Roses, better singer than the Roses.
@Mister Sifter Eh? Brown can't sing. Tom was/is an ace singer. Nowt nonsensical about that. Pal.
My favourite Inspirals song with the one they did with MES.
Seen them twice once at Glasgow the other time was Newcastle at the may flower or may theatre, any and dek were behind us in the cue, well being Scottish we gave them dog's abuse, this was back in 91/92
I have just played this by accident...realised its a tune I have liked for ages !!!!!!! such a shame I didn't know who it was by.....
I thought once that this song was called "Moo". What with them being obsessed with cows and what not I thought it made sense.
Im an 18 year old canadian and i love bands like this and the stone roses, i wish i grew up in England, id fuckin love to be a member of a football firm and get in brawls. Now thats livin it up!

Suggested by Linda Po Chee Wan 1991/1992
