Merci beaucoup. That is very helpful.
Great video!
Love the background music in the video. Could I get a link to the melody?
Hi Robin! Great comprehensive video. What would you recommend between the Olympus EPL10 and GoPro hero 10? I'm looking for a camera with outstanding performance on photos and video, within a reasonable budget. Thanks in advance!! Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, MY
If you need photo performance too then it's the EPL10, no question. You can always reach us at info@backscatter.com if you want to chat some more!
great video..what's the best underwater camera that can later be used for scenery photography out of water?
There really isn't a bad choice in this lot for topside shooting.
What about downgrading from a 7D with Tonkina wide angle and 60mm macro lens? Mine is tooooo heavy for what it is..
It all depends on what your main interest is. You might consider the E-PL10 if you want to minimize your weight and kit size: www.backscatter.com/reviews/post/Olympus-E-PL10-Underwater-Camera-Housing-Review
With the Canon R5, how long could you shoot at different video settings before running into heating issues? Also, have you tested the heating issues while using an external monitor? Thanks.
We could shoot 4K 60 in short clips without running into issues. Shooting longer 4K 60 clips would result in overheating, as would anything above that. We even got overheating warnings just when shooting photos Our underwater test did not use a monitor, and we have not done a thorough test with one yet.
@@backscatteruw Thanks for your honest thoughts on these cameras. Just wanted to add a little thought. I've had the R5 and R6 for about a year now, living in very hot climates, never had an overheating warning in camera whilst shooting stills (ever) or video at 4k 60fps. I'm guessing they switched up the firmware.
Good video, thanks
What about the sony a7 iii? It's been compared often to the gh5. Is the gh5 a clear favourite over the a73? And if so is the a73 a legitimate camera for underwater photography?
Thanks!
Both the A7 III and GH5 have been replaced by newer generations, the A7 IV and GH6. The A7 series is full frame, while GH5 & GH6 are micro four thirds, so it's not exactly a direct comparison.
Where would you place the a7iv?
Definitely a runner-up in the full frame department
Sony sweeping the board!
Pretty dang good cameras!
What about the A7M4?
Complete review is in the works now, stay tuned
@@backscatteruw I bought the a7r4 I had only 2 days to decide
FX3 + Nauticam
We're saving the FX-3 to be compared against other high-performance compact cinema cameras.
Panasonic GH5 is of older generation, than Panasonic GH5S, Panasonic GH5 ii. those have better IBIS, better autofocus, etc.
WOW. Seems Like your Hating on canon..
Not hating, just stating facts
Noooo
