Revali: I can fly you can’t lol.

Yes yum Ravioli

Champions' reaction to Link beating the Blights:
Mipha: *Tells how happy she is to see him again*
Revali: *Is surprised he managed to get on Medoh without flight*
Urbosa: *Encourages Link to continue the fight against Calamity,*
Daruk: "Sorry for DYING on you."
I KNOW 😭😭😭😭🤧😭😭😭😭😢😢😣😔
My man apologised for dying. Madlad.
Honestly all of those scenes are absolute *pain*
Ah yes XDD I love that too which is so sad because all of them died, only if they had a couple of the champions survive in order to help Link more than they did, Nintendo could have done more with them ;^; If you could have two of the champions revived who would it be? Mine would be Daruk and Urbosa.

*Link then discovers that 35% of people outside of hyrule are attracted to him.*
Daruk: I didn't mean THAT kind of Protection!
@@lunalgaleo1991He never specified...
I really feel like Daruk’s the most underrated champion out of the four.
I personally don’t care much for Mipha, who is probably (guessing here) the most popular. So yeah, I feel you. Daruk May not be my favorite but he’s cool.
I quite like ravali, he has interesting character development
Daruke is my favorite of the four champions he gives off a cool uncle or dad vibe like, I just wanna hug him!
He's just more simple-minded, like any common Goron.
Daruk is my least favorite Champion by far. His normal and DLC memories both seemed really lifeless to me, especially compared to Revali and Urbosa.
"I am Goron, and we never walk alone" is such a good line. It should be official.
I Love how Mipha's diary says she is worried about Link, Revali Talks about his ability, Urbosa says she is worried about Zelda.
And then there is Daruk. He writes about food. I've never related more to a character in a videogame
“I just realized something: Writing makes me hungry”
He is such a gem in the game :'D I love how careless he is
That's why daruk is my 2 favorite number 1 is probably revali
@@guichabanaano27 Gorons don't care for gems. He's more of a... slab of obsidian.

Should daruk be able in Mario kart 8 deluxe? Yes or no?
This song fits perfectly with Daruk’s story. His people are a brave, loyal group, but even they are in danger. The more they get through the stronger they get. But I would KILL for a 1 hour loop of this.

@@silverwolfgamer4100
Yes I get it
What I said it was a joke
But I didn't say it was a good one
the emerald play button That’s the joke.
That was...amazing. I was legit crying throughout the song (though i admit i‘m generally an emotional person).
I remember, when I finally had my switch and played botw, I felt sad when I had to say goodbye to Mipha, Urbosa and Revali (he may be a jerk, but I just can’t hate him because he’s lovable in his own way. he’s my favorite, if that wasn’t obvious enough). But when I saved Daruk, I was first crying and then started to sob when Daruk told Link that, with Daruk‘s protection, he „will always be a part of him“ (I played with german voiceovers btw).
When I think about it now, I guess that I reacted this way because Daruk was probably the closest thing Link could call his family (Mipha is an entirely different matter since she loved Link in a romantic way and I don’t plan on discussing it right now) and I get pretty emotional myself when I think about my own family and friends, who I love very dearly. Even though it’s still far away in the future, I can’t help but feel scared of the thought of losing them one day. It’s just generally very sad that Link almost lost all of his friends, and the worst part is probably that he only remembers fragments of of their time spent together while the others remember everything (that’s what the game implied at least) and him saying goodbye to Daruk broke me to pieces.
Gosh, I really didn’t intend to write that much, but it happened anyway. I wonder how many people will even see this monster of comment. I just find it fascinating how a game makes me feel so much, even after almost 3 years since release. But honestly, the Zelda series in general makes me weak in so many ways, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s just how much I love Zelda.
And for those who even bothered to read it until the end, I hope you have a wonderful day.
Oh! While I was babbling on and on, I forgot to thank you Alex and your team for this wonderful piece of fanart! Take care everyone! I am looking forward to what you still have in store :)
@@the_food_gremlin Daruk, to me, as a character, is legitimately the greatest Zelda character we've seen since well..... anything really....
He has so much charm and likeability to him that no other character has, or will ever, have...
He's actually really relatable to me cause we both shared a fear of dogs, which I *kindaaa* don't have anymore, except if ya count for Doberman pinschers and Rottweilers cause, *FUUUuuuUUUUUCK* dude those things are scary as hell......
Look my point is, Daruk is a Character that resonates with me and will continue to do so, nomatter what the Zelda franchise throws at my genital area at a thousand miles an hour next.
@@nathandioza7821 excuse me
That last sentence
What
Good God
You typed all of this?!
That was a lot of typing, and I agree that Daruk was the closest thing to family Link had. When I got BotW, I saved Daruk last but he was my favorite champion, he’s such a supportive and caring guy. I would love to have Daruk as my brother. The song is also uplifting and this song is now in my morning routine.
2020 in a netshell: " when did the world get so strange? Times and your friends will change."
ikr :C
Oh yeah this is been one crazy year
Indeed
I think it would be really interesting if the line ‘Breath of the Wild’ was incorporated into the rest of the Champion’s Ballads. It’s a really unique way of uniting them all! Although that’s only if you decide to do the rest, and if you want to even do that. It’s your choice!
That's what the crew is doing. They are lyricizing songs for every Champion from the game. Tune in next Sunday to find who's next.
Also, yeah, if "Breath of the Wild" was in every song it would be amazing.
That line seemed very intentional. I'd be surprised if it didn't show up again, but we'll see next week.
Turns out it probably will. It's in Revali's Ballad, so I suspect it really will be in every song of the package.
@@elmina9403 in fairness i find it actually nice that near the end of each song its directed to link, with daruk its you are goron and never walk alone," and with revali it's "so dare and learn to fly"
Erina McGuire It was in Revali. So I think it’s a constant.
Daruk is honestly the BEST champion of BOTW, and I’m glad we have such an epic song showing why that is now. Thanks guys.
Yes
Tis impossible to argue with this assessment
He and Urbosa are my favorite champions
To quote a random base ball player from family guy.
I would follow him into hell
He may seem like a shallow character compared to others in the game, but I think his personality gives him an interesting goal as the glue that holds the champions together. Notice how the other 3 champions mention him in their diaries in some way. It’s a pity Botw and Age of Calamity don’t do much to explore the relationships between the 4 champions as it does between them and link
Lyrics (for everyone who wants to sing along ;)) :
Strength of the mountain, strength of the stone
Dig through the mountain we call home
Stand and be strong, never stand alone!
So long ago, simpler days
Everyone went on their way
When did the world get so strange?
Times and your friends will change
Strength of the mountain, strength of the stone
As long as there is strength in these bones
I will stand strong, protecting my home
I am Goron! And we never walk alone!
(Come fan the flame, brother in name)
(Stand tall together, protect our home)
I am Goron! (And we never walk alone!)
Strength of the mountain, strength of the stone
As long as there is strength in these bones
I will stand strong, protecting my home
I am Goron! (We never walk alone!)
People in fear, people in need
Let them all lean onto me
Bonds forged in fire, formed in trial
Cooled by the Breath of the Wild
Strength of the mountain, strength of the stone (Come fan the flame)
As long as there is strength in these bones (Brother in name)
I will stand strong, protecting my home (Protect our home)
I am Goron! (And we never walk alone!)
Carry my name, carry the flame
Hero, strand strong, stand everlong
Come fan the flame, brother in name
Carry protection wherever you go
You are Goron, and you'll never walk alone
That ENDING though! I’m definitely not crying
I've been crying since I got to the ending cutscene of the Vah Rudania quest, 2 years ago.....
Damn does time fly.....
Do you even have a heart? We are Goron! And we never walk Alone!
I love how when Daruk talks to Link, he either calls him "little buddy" or "Goro".
The other Gorons also call him Goro. He's family
"you are Goron and you'll never walk alone"
Is this a reference to you having Daruks' Protection
That and maybe a callback to when Darunia names you his brother, thus being part of the Goron community.
WishMasterJirachi I think it is a reference because the clip seconds before that line was the part was daruk giving link daruk's protection
That along with the "Carry Protection wherever you go"
That's honestly even more important to the reference than "You are Goron and you'll never walk alone"

The Goron carry a strong spiritual bond to each other and as long as you are strong in heart, they will call you Brother/Sister.
Even as an honorary member of the Gorons, you never have to face hardship alone. They are with you in spirit.
As long as you are strong, you are Goron...and you'll never walk alone.
At least that's what I gathered way back in Ocarina of Time.
When you about to win a battle but then an absolute unit shows up with a super big blade
2:15 onwards, I am *shook*
The power in his voice as he sings "strength" is so good!

DARUK SOUNDS SO GOOD!!!!
I still hear these lyrics every time i hear Daruks theme or motif. Probably my favorite of the 4.
Despite it being this softer song you captured the vibe of Daruk and the strong brotherly spirit of the Gorons that I love.
Thank you so much. The Champions were criminally underused and deserve as much love as we can give them
DARUKS SONG IS READY TO ROLL
I imagine Kass wrigting this song for the gorons to honor the Great Daruk's protection and his love for his people, while Link plays it in the ocarina of time to regain his champion ability after being infected by malice
Therapist: Daruk with long legs isn’t real it can’t hurt you
Daruk with long legs:
Daruk, the Hot-Blooded Protector of Gorons, with a body of stone and a heart of gold...
Truly a respectable figure of the goron people. And such a shock to see this golem protector be crumbled to nothing.
May his legacy live on through not just his decendant, Yunobo, but through all of Eldin's people. He stood strong until the bitter end, protecting his home.
This is really powerful. I was moved to tears by this.
Now We Need Mipha, Urbosa And Ravioli!
or hyrule castle theme
Or Ravio! (rabbit-masked merchant in link between world)
Ravioli Ravioli give me the gale-ioli
Say this and was less excited for what the opener was going to be, but when the main chorus came in I completely changed my mind and it also felt the character in a way I have never say but was always there.
This makes me want to play Breath of the wild again, is so cool!
When I comment on these songs I usually make a detailed analysis on the lyrics and what I love about then but to describe this song I'll be quick and simple writing only one of the best lines:
(3:01)
_"Come fan the flame! Brother in name! Carry Protection wherever you go! You are goron! And you'll never walk alone!"_
1:27 when ur getting destroyed by enemies and ur high leveled friend comes and kicks their ass
0:00 When YOU become high leveled as well.
I love how triumphant every aspect of this song is. It really shows how bold and strong the Gorons are
Daruk is my favourite champion and honestly 80% sure it’s because of this song
Daruk is criminally underrated, as is this song. Daruk was my favorite champion, and still is. There are just so many little touches to the song that make it just so perfect.
He’s my all time favorite champion too!
Same here I just find him really likeable.
I can’t wait for Mipha and Urbosa to have these songs about how they fight for their people and whatnot, and then Ravioli just sings about how great he is.🤣🤣
Update: I was right. 🤣🤣🤣
lmao. I saw the Revali one too
You predicted the future
😨😨
Will I get a gf...
Wait I know the answer
It's no 😂😂😅😐😞

Who’s Ravioli? I thought it was Rivali.
But I wanna marry revali

After Vid: O-0
*Okay...*
You have *DEFINITELY* earned my respect for this.....
You did Best Champion some *DAMN* well deserved justice!
On a side note: When you played the first memory cutscene with Daruk, Link, and Rudania, why did it look like it was lagging?
I know it's not the cutscene itself cause it played on my switch before and I had no issues....
Was there something wrong with your capture card or what?
Making a friend of a Goron is basically joining the world's biggest family of Bros.
These big rockheads may occasionally take a little time to catch up with faster ideas, but of there is one thing they can call its loyalty to their friends and family.
Daruk understood that better than anyone. The Champions were brothers and sisters in name, and he was essentially the morale maker of the team. Think about it!
He is big, tough, yet holds back for the smaller teammates, but still pushes them to.be their best and will use his own body as a shield to defend them.
*slow claps*
I’d love to hear you sing the Gerudo Valley theme.
3 years later, and this is still my absolute FAVORITE song Moti has ever made!
Kudos to you guys on capturing the best champion so perfectly!🥰🥰🥰🥰
This song makes me sad that we haven’t got much time with the champions in the main story of botw, but since their spirits can interact with others like with Daruk being seen by Yunobo. It means that they can have a part in the sequel
Your vocal range still amazes me. You’re definitely one of, if not my favorite, UA-cam channels.

Daruk is SUCH a great character, and this song probably shows the most feeling for him out of all the songs I've seen. 10/10
These fellas are the definition of "no man left behind" and I love it, they embody comradery
The choice of scenes to put together to sync up with the words of the song is so damn beautiful, especially at the point where "strength of the mountain... strength of the stone" lines up with the movements of vah rudania... It made me cry 👌

Darn it, Alex, now I'm crying over Breath of the Wild's tragic backstory....again! First, play through: tears for each soul who fell to the Calamity. Second play through: less tears, but still heartache. Third play through with DLC enabled: tears are back with a vengeance. Now this... I freaking love all of the Champions, and this song reminds me why. They were heroes who gave their all for their people. I just...feelings...I can't...WHAT ARE WORDS?!?! *brain crash due to inability to process intensity of emotion*
They need to make a 1 hour loop of this!♾️
Daruk usually: brave and tough
Daruk when he see doggo: AHHHHHHHHH
I have added this song to my morning routine and every time I listen to it, it makes me feel like I’m as tough as a mountain. I admit to tearing up to this multiple times.
Anyone else rewatching all the champions themes with age of calamity releasing, the remix of this theme for the death mountain stage was amazing, I could hear this tune as I played it. 👏👏
The lyrics also work you age of calamity.
This... this was AMAZING!!
Can’t wait to hear more Zelda musical bytes!!
Yo what the frick, how did I just find your channel now?? These lyric versions are so good!!!! They all gave me chills!!! So fantastic!!!
THAT is THE ballad of the champion Daruk. It includes all: His mentality, his origins and what he stands and fighting for. I love it. so. much. Thk u for your great work.

Daruk's diary entry is literally the best.
Urbosa is on Zelda
Mipha is on link
Revali is on his power
And the best of all Daruk is on food.
I will admit this song is so awesome, boy did it make me super sad! Like not in a bad way, in a good way, it's a super positive song. Just for some reason this song out of all of them resonated with me the most. It made me cry so much! Maybe the lyrics "We will never walk alone", "People in fear, People in need, let them all lean on me, Bonds forged in fire, Formed by trial, Cooled by the Breath of the Wild", "Strength of the Mountains, Strength of the Stone, As long as there is Strength in these Bones, I will stand strong, Protecting my home, I am Goron, and we will never walk alone", Carry my name, Carry the Flame, Hero stand strong, Stand Everlong, Come fan the Flame, Brother in name, You are Goron and you'll never walk alone". I don't know why these words resonate so much with me but they do. It makes me super emotional evey time I listen to it, but I can't stop listening to it.💖💖
This was phenomenal! You did such an amazing job on this Alex!!
Daruk parries the ground with his champion ability. He's nuts.
So far, the three champions represented in song, are represented perfectly off what they are made to show, Daruk is a very protective Goron, the one to keep his people alive, even if it costs him his, Mipha is shown as a perfect motherly figure, which is absolutely how she was shown in botw, and revali is a cocky piece of feathery garbage
Revali is GARBAJJ
He is our piece of cocky feathery garbage.
in revali's song, it's about him training really hard, and his determination. how he won't stop until he's achieved his goals. y'all don't give him enough credit, he tries rly hard you know. (I know he brags about shit, but in that song he didn't talk about that. at most, it was one line)
This song perfectly captures the essence of Daruk and the Gorons. They are strong, fearless, and carefree people but you can always count on them. I feel in the line "How did the world get so strange?" Daruk speaks for everyone in Hyrule and beyond. Times are changing but for the carefree you just keep moving and don't really have many troubles. The Goron perfectly represent that. What makes this so sad for me is seeing the ghost version of Daruk on the rock, looking over his land. He tried everything he could, but alas, died in protecting his people from the strange world. When he says "Carry my name, carry the flame" that's where it pulled my heartstrings, such a good guy did not deserve the fate he got.
This is incredible! Daruk is one of my absolute favourites in BoTW, how am I only seeing this now?! Love this, Mate! It’s gonna be stuck in my head for so long now XD
I honestly before I read the description predicted this
Goron - Daruk's Protection
Rito - Medli's theme
Zora - Zora's Domain from Twilight Princess
Gerudo - Gerudo Desert
But I see you're doing all Breath of the wild so I was wrong lol
I’ve listened to this for the past 2 days and it EVERY time puts chills down my spine with the emotion that was put into it.
Daruk: I’ve come to make a declaration!
The 13 dislikes are from the bokblins of the beginning
They got 12 added friends
So today we had a football game for my youth league 112-0 we won. I taught my teammates this song and we started to sing this at half-time because it was 63-0, I already had 56 points then I got a concussion diving for a touchdown, (yes it counted), and my teammates started singing "You are Goron, and WE never walk alone." It was so sweet.
(Edit: I went it the hospital in an ambulance, when they carried me out on the stretcher my team started to sing this song!)
By far my favourite character in the game
Didn't ask, still recieved. Thank you for this blessing, o' Gods of The Internet.
Daruk maybe the more... simple of the four champions, but you gotta admit, he’s the type of guy who WILL be a shoulder for you to lean on, he gives off this big brother type vibe that I just LOVE.
The Zelda series is full of such fantastic music, I hope you keep doing more
And thus, the Man on the Internet Team began another journey. They had already went through the 3 Routes of Undertale, the first Chapter of Deltarune, the strange world of Pokémon, and the Fierce world of Smash.
Entering a new world, they sang tales of the mighty Champions of a Hyrule long gone.
Alex sung the tale of Daruk, the Champion of the Gorons.
(To be continued...)
WOO!

Thank you. Playing this game was a treat. BOTW ost is underrated.

I love how all the champions had ‘Breath Of The Wild’ in the songs.
“Carry protection wherever you go”
What is Daruk saying to Link here
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Protection of the mighty Goron
Save that protection for the Princessand her wonderful *ahem*
_Personality,_ Link 😉
The human race has no future
I am aware of the obvious joke, but on the very slight off chance you literally didn't get it, he is referring to his ability. There, now no one else needs to explain this after me so that this can avoid a giant comment war.
With how the world have been I keep on going back to this song to lift up my spirits. That despite everything going on I at least know that I am never alone. That I would always have someone to get me back up my feet. Just remember that at the end of the day we are all just human, no matter what race we are. Whenever you are down on the dumps just remember, you are never alone.
Out of the four legendary champion songs, this is my favorite.
The Gorons are my favorite race in BOTW and this song does them justice.
THE BEST GUARDIAN COMING IN
Well darn it I wasn’t expecting to be punched in the feels going into this...but I really should have. XD
The first line was awesome and It felt like it could be apart of some hearty shanty or something, but it fits the rest of the song as well.
Without direct reference to Zelda, this feels like a song you could expect from standard fantasy references. I really love it! I'm tempted to incorporate it into the d&d game I am running.
Gorons have a bond that no other race in hyrule has.
Moral of the story: Gorons never walk alone.
I'd like to thank this song for getting me through 2020
Well I guess I don't need my heart. This AND Revali have given me chills and driven me to emotional tears. These are AMAZING
omg that's beautiful!!! you have to do other song from botw
1:05 literal chills :D
Being honest, the more I think about it, the more I think the champions were like a family, one whose time unluckily was cut short because of Ganon. Like, Daruk is quite like a father figure for them, and Urbosa being quite a mother in a sense, keeping them in check, but always caring for them. Revali being the elder brother that is maybe a little bit too teasing, but causes you to show what you are capable of. And Mipha being the young sister, quite caring of their siblings, and trying to avoid them getting injured. Being honest, it makes me wonder how would they have been of they hadn't died. They all are charming in their own way, and it's probably the time were the death of NPCs affected me in such a way. And this songs really capture the characters, I don't know how much has passed since I defeated Ganon, but I still go back to hear this songs, and they always take me back to the moment link sees their spirits.
This was honestly beautiful to listen to, please do the rest of the champions!
This song both builds tears and yet boosts me with courage!
Every time I listen to this song I end up with chills and tears in my eyes
This made me appreciate daruk a lot more than I did even though he was my favorite champion.
I thought what at the ending of the video I would hear Yunobo’s laugh waving to Daruk but at least I saw it so I’m satisfied 😄
I oh so badly want this for all the other champions
