I totally agree with you. I have such beautiful food at home that I'm always disappointed when I eat out. Also I usually end up compromising in some way with what I think is healthy, as well as the fact that it's never enough food for me!!!

AGREE! My top reasons for not eating at restaurants:
    - expensive
    - too small portions
    - processed ingredients (aka unhelthy AND fat-gaining)

For me, it's mainly the prices. It's outrageous. You can buy a few days worth of groceries for the price of one restaurant meal. Also, some of these vegan/vegetarian restaurants might use ingredients I don't eat like soy, rice, corn, wheat. I like to have control of what I put in my food.

I haven’t watched this yet but I cannot eat in restaurants either. I wouldn’t even let me parents or friends make me food let alone restaurants😅 I just feel so much better if I do it myself. Some people are like that about cleaning their house, but that’s me %100 for food. I don’t know if people washed their hands after touching who knows what, I don’t know what their knives and pots and pans and dishes have been touched by and if there’s any soap residue on any of it, if it’s cooked I don’t know if it’s been in microwave, I don’t want them using salt, and I don’t want to be bossy and also don’t want to ask them 100 questions. It’s easier on everyone if I just make it myself!

    I hate eating out because:
    1) I don't understand the pleasure in sitting with a bunch of strangers to eat my dinner
    2) You know the waiters really hate the diners
    3) Kitchen hygiene is suspect
    4) I enjoy my own cooking
    5) Eating at home is first class. I have the best seat in the house & privacy. Eating out is effectively the cheap seats.

My number one reason besides money and portion sizes is the cleanliness and hygeinic habits of each person and how they prepare the food with regards to cleanliness, along with what type of intentions someone has, for better or worse, in other words how they live their life...

I’m gluten free and dairy free, and most of the time I never eat out but if I do it’s mostly bc I ran out of food at home, or else I’ll be having oatmeal again! 😂 but I found when I do have to eat out I never enjoy it and it’s never as “good” as it should be! And most of time I’ll have to get fries and it’s just not healthy the way restaurants make them!

I agreed with you. Also they do not have time to wash the food. I hear by a cook friend of mine. Because the people want their food fast.

Love your message! And the thing about big portions is so true - I get a lot of weird comments when people see how much I eat (big portions as a vegan in general and especially when raw/mostly raw), as if it was a bad thing or something is wrong with me, when on the contrary, people are so used to restricting/binging/restricting and feeling guilt and all that crap, it is so nice to see a channel supporting wholesome vegan food AND not restricting!

Eating out is just not sustainable for a lot of people. It's very pricey. I'm all for supporting local businesses, I love a local Thai restaurant beside my work but I go there 1x a month. But 1 meal at a restaurant is almost the cost of my weekly groceries.
    Off topic...you have amazing hair!!!

I prefer to eat at home, even on our anniversary, etc. I cook better and we have gorgeous mountain views that can't be beat! Love eating beautiful vegan food!

The closest I have to come to getting a meal I approve of and enjoy is True Food Kitchen. You can ask them to omit the oil even, and their vegan dishes are loaded with veggies, beans, etc. But it is pricey, and I don't do it unless invited out.

I looooooooved to go to the restaurant ❤️ for me , after working days and days in My business and after going cooking at home ( what I also like) etc... its a moment of distress 💆🏻‍♀️ Finally I am spoiled not to do anything, just putting my feets under the table. But because we work so much we can afford the best restaurants in the world 🙏🥑🫑🌶🥒🍑🥬🥦🥝✨

a lot of people don't realize how much waste goes into restaurant service, it goes far beyond plastic straws and Styrofoam to-go boxes. most of the produce and products used in restaurants is ordered from a supplier and is shipped by truck and packed in cardboard and plastic wrap. every time a cook is handling food, they should be wearing disposable gloves as well, when I'm at work I go through probably 50 pairs of gloves at least. most prep cooks don't put nearly as much detail and care into chopping/prepping fruits and vegetable as I do with my own food prep at home. as a vegan who eats a lot of fruits and vegetables, too, it's rarely a 'great' experience eating out and I don't think I've ever had anything at a restaurant that was at all better than what I make for myself at home

Plot twist question: Would you eat at vegan restaurants if they gave you the food FOR FREE (and you could save all that money intented for buying food and having your own control over it)?

omg....so I got vegetable ramen last time I ate out and there was meat at the bottom of the bowl...I assume because they use the same utensil for every product. Definitely wasn’t nice to see dead flesh in my ramen. I didn’t make a scene about it, but I will not be going to that restaurant anymore....

That’s very rude . It’s a shame that eating out a restaurants has become the norm. What happened to everyone making their own yummy food ? It’s more cheaper and substantial for the planet any way . Less Energy spent in transporting different foods less plastic in our land fields due to packaging . Do your research

@@k.a8216People are different and not everyone considers eating out as "enjoying life". I prefer different activities rather than eating surrounded by bunch of strangers. On top of that she specified that she enjoys going out every now and then to support local businesses. Next time please watch the video carefully :)
