- I met up with Tim and his 2002 Pontiac Trans Am CETA to do a small mini fall set, check it out on Instagram! While we were hanging out we did a small video to talk about custom offsets on 4th generation Trans Am, Firebird and Camaros. We all do a little bit of Trans Am car nerd talk. It is always great to meet up with another automotive enthusiast! What does everyone thing of this collectors edition Trans Am without the side decals?

Not trying to deliberately embarrass host but can tell has a slight speech impediment, and as someone who also has a similar speech impediment I want to commend him for his bravery on making videos in spite of this and not letting this hold him back. It’s inspirational to me to start making car enthusiast videos of my own
It took a long time for me to get comfortable on video. Appreciate you watching, there are still good people on the internet ♥️

Trans am will never die. We won't let it. Sweet birds. Long live Pontiac
The 4th gen trans am market has steadily risen in value! Let's keep em on the road!
I used to work for Pat Clark Pontiac here in Vegas, one of the last Pontiac dealers. I have owned 3 T/A's and currently have a '98 flat hood WS9 in Sebring Silver all stock. I blew the doors off a newer Dodge Challenger with the Hemi 5.7 the other day. I beat him off the line and I shut it down at about 80mph and I was ahead by about 10 car lengths. Mine has the optional 3:23 gears and it is fast as fuk. LOL That guy thought he was going to take me. haha
@@Autofaze I get guys all of the time wanting to buy my '98 T/A here in Vegas. They even stop by my house to ask if I wanna sell it. I hardly ever see T/A's here anymore. I see maybe one per month (besides mine) I see Vettes, Camaros/ Mustangs, Chargers/ Challengers all of the time. Trans Ams are rare birds nowadays LOL
I had closed captions on when watching this. When Tim started his car the caption read "[Music]"... I lol'd...
My `99 has been my daily driver for 22 years and she's got 400,000 miles and still going strong! I'm keeping that torch going!
LOVE IT!!! that is so awesome!!
the front and rear overhangs on those cars is truly from another era
Crazy to think these cars are 20+ years old
@@Autofaze Really more like 30+, considering they were designed in the late 80s and very early nineties. Though I understand the '02 is just over 20 as produced.
Nice! Loving the fbody content
Means a ton coming from you! Thanks for watching!!
Gorgeous Trans Am
Both of those cars are nice. Man I Love Trans Ams. I need to get mine back in the road ASAP!!
Appreciate the love! What's yours need to be road worthy?!
@@Autofaze Fuel pump. I’ve replaced it before so it’s just me being lazy…
Damn them wheels look great. I'm a proud owner of a 94 Pontiac Trans am GT. I bought the car bone stock. And over the years it's heavily modified with a 383 stroker LT1 with a D1SC procharger at 15 lbs of boost. Comp blower cam with AFR heads strange 12 bolt posi with 3 73 gears. BMR full adjustable suspension front and rear with Viking coil overs front and rear BMR Sub frame connectors. Wolfe 6 point cage with American racing wheels 17x9.50 front and 17x11 rear. She's got a brand new GM black paint job and everything on this project trans am has been replaced with top line performance parts the only thing stock is the body and interior and yes even with the Wolfe 6 point cage the rear gm fake leather seats are still in place. I tried to keep it like a sleeper but the cam and procharger give it away lol.. I'm looking into a set of these weld rims they would look sweeeeeeeet on my 94 trans am 👍
That's a awesome LT1 build you did! A set of welds would surely take it to the next level!! Thanks for sharing and watching ♥️
As a 2000 Ws6 owner I appreciate the CETA.
Same! Thanks for watching R C!
I'm going costume offset, narrowing rear-end 3" both sides, going with 17" rim 11' inches wide 4.8 backspace . Weld wheels RTS S71 all polished crome, fits like a dream.
I’d love to see how it looks
Those Trans Ams are awesome I’m a stang owner but I really like those
Come on over to the dark side Billy!!
Haha I would never get rid of my mustang I have a 2007 Shelby GT mustang but my next hot rod I have been looking at Trans Am those 2 cars have always had a soft spot in my heart 😎 I will let you know when I get one I would love to see these cars in person sweet video
@@Autofaze I can hear you saying that in Darth Vaders' voice LMAO !!!
@@SKRooU2 bawhahahaah 🤘🤘
this car is perfection, not one year of the new pony cars can compare to this design till this day...imagine if the the 3000gt was brought back next year and it looked exaclty like this year trans am and just off looks alone that same car would have people willing to pay 100k for this car. If this car had came out exactly like this but under a different name, this would be a car that would sell with a 100k or better easy because Pontiac created a muscle car in the 90's that super cars today still can't outdo this design. Trans am ws6 are the cars that deserve an ls6 swap. imagine this car with the engine being seen thru the glass of the hatchback. A rear engine American hyper car
Nice rides.. I have a SOM on 19x11’s front and rear with 295/30/19
I bet it looks rad!! Thanks for watching Dustin!!
Does that fit on stock suspension?
@@LevelUpSimRacing yes..if lowered you will need to roll the the lips.
Beautyful I need one... I own a 79 an 86
time to add a 4th gen to the collection! Thanks for watching!!
Nice rides
Appreciate the love! Thanks for watching!
Wow. I never liked the ceta graphics but that car looks great without them. I once owned a 93 yellow ta but now have a silver 2000 hawk ta with the optional wing. It has grown on me.
I was the same way, never a big ceta sticker fan. This car sure pulls it off rather well!! Thanks for watching!
That's funny I own a 93 yellow trans am.
Btw, the audio on the ceta startup was crisp! What mic are you using or was it enhanced?
Hey dude!! This was a video mic pro straight outta the mic in premiere pro with the gains increased a tad.
SOM FTW!
YES!! Thanks for watching Ray!
Sweet
Thanks for stopping by!
What size tires is he running?
Thts a badass ceta
Thanks for watching the video Mario!
Where did you locate the Pontiac hood emblem shown at :32, also where did you purchase the black front and rear side markers.
I believe he said that was from a Pontiac Sunfire that he had custom painted. Thanks for watching!
I remember meeting tim back in KCSR days when he had his pewter ws6, TIM_WS6 right? nice dude
That's him! Nice dude indeed. Kcsr was a fun chapter
He needs to do something about that low hanging GHETTO exhaust system on the yellow one. Sad!
It was changed about a year ago for better clearance. Thanks for watching
@@Autofaze very cool. Now I'll sleep better!😉 I absolutely love those yellow ws6"s!!!
Does he have the 18x10 in the front and 18x11 on rear? Looks great. Great content Autofaze
Yes he does! Thank you so much for watching
What tire size is the CETA running ? 295/30/18 & 315/30/18 ??
Check out our most recent video!
@@Autofaze watched your other video i missed the tire size i guess.. what are the tire sizes on the yellow? that is exactly what i want on my ceta
@chrisc7199 hey Chris! I do not remember, I believe I mention it in the wheel spec video that we did!
Mind sharing the pad height on these? High? Medium? Low?
Looks great
Either high or medium. If your going big brakes id order high pad wheels.
What tire size is he running? Looks great.
26 in tire. Unsure on exact sizes I'll try and find out
Any word on tire size?
It’s a 99 for the 30th. I have one. #982. Lol. Very cool cars.
How many of those did they make Sergio?
Autofaze
About 1000 coupes and about 500 convertibles from a quick google search...
Very rare car. I hope somebody is keeping one stock for posterity. The one in my area is all modded out. Fast but just throw away the collectable value.
Sergio. I have #861. How many miles do you have on it ?
Just wondering if you had to roll the rear fender for this to work. ?
I would advise rolling the fender if you are going to lower the car. Thanks for watching Goose!
I just have one question was there any modifications done to the actual brackets that drop down from the control or any modifications at all that gives you more clearance because that's what I'm trying to do at the moment those drop-down sway arms I'm going to modify and read bracket closer in towards the center of the what I'm trying to do appears to be correct and adjustable to where the clearance will be fine after I get done
No medications needed!
Here I am with a pewter salvage title 2002 trans am non ws6 convertible with just under 11,000 MI and automatic LOL
Neil all 4th gens are rad on in our opinion!
Is that yellow one millennium yellow like my c5 or is it a different paint color/code? Looks real close, but I never knew they made those in millennium yellow
It could be the lighting from that day, in person on a sunny day it looks like CETA yellow. thanks for checking us out!
Is the axle of factory length? Stock....beautiful set up gorgeous
yes it is, thanks for watching!
Nice
Where are you guys located
We are in the midwest of the USA.
I have a 2001 sunset orange metallic WS6 TA. It has 51000 mile on it . 6sp. I love it. Only take it out in the summer. Never seen a winter.
That is awesome Frank! I always loved that orange, thanks for sharing!
Love that color. Seen a firehawk in that color. It was just after sunrise and it looked amazing.
No idea how you only have 400 subs. Very nicely done videos. Just found your channel today, definitely getting a sub from me. I make fbody videos as well, but nothing this nicely done.
I'll check ya out! We love making videos and viewing other videos. Thank you so much for the love!
Where are you guys located at, i have a Bright purple metallic formula and Turbo’d Medium Gulf Blue Metallic T/A id love to do a video together.
That sounds like a sick ride! We are in the Midwest! Missouri/Kansas. We do some traveling though 😉

@@neilbrown82 awesome!! Thanks for watching man!
Whats tire size and will this size fit oem stance
I'm not sure what size tire he runs but I have the same specs on our white ws6 and its lowered 2 inches. I run a 305 in the rear. you will be fine on stock stance. Thanks for watching!
For your research, rarest 4th gen WS6 color is Dupont Indigo Blasberry; that horse of a deferent color that got rolled into, hidden, into 70 Blue 2000 Firehawks where, Indigo Blasberry was rejected by the dealer group as difficult to sell. mb
I have a lowered car and there is one issue, they ride like a cart. mb
I thought plum purple was the rarest with only like 4 cars made?
@@SKRooU2 My 2002 FH is indigo trasmarin blasberry or something like that hidden in the 70 Dark Blue FHs in 2000. I do recall a purple in some FB model year I refer to in the Camaro Color 'purple haze'. My 2000 looks dark blue in the shade but when the sun hits it just right, its burple, basically like weak pinot noir. The dealers rejected my cars color in 2000 I am the second owner and I'd bet the first owner who I bought the car from good a discount off the show room floor on the rejected as unsellable color. The issue is if I repaint it, for example to fix the sail bubbles, the original color is unavailable although supposedly Dupont. mb
indigo tasmarin blasberry . . .???
What I'm saying is I want a deeper rim I want a 12 inch rim on there and I want the clearance to be like if it was stock I want to be clear not touch plus I want my rims to come out a little bit so it's not flush with the car I like that sporty look. Plus I'm a wide body man
Easy, run a narrowed rear end. I know guys that have done it on these cars. Thanks for watching!
What are the tire specs front and rear?
We just made a updated video sharing the Autofaze Ws6 tire/wheels specs and this cars tire/wheel specs. Check it out!
does anyone know what kinda exhaust that yellow ceta has i have a 2000 with the slp lou mouth but that car sounds ssooo much better??
If I recall he had a x pipe setup
How much lower did he take the TA down.
I dont remember. It is defiantly alot lower than stock.
Where you got those wheels?? Any information?
Google Weld wheels and spec a set for your car. You can also call the sales line, they have the spec saved! Tell them you saw the Autofaze video! Thanks for watching
I would have to disagree. I think the 30ths are more rare. Only 1650 of the 30’s and 2k Cetas. Only 265 of my 30th’s made. So maybe I’m biased. Lol. Love your channel man. Wanting to start my own page for my 30th t/a
Thanks for diving into the numbers! Start one Jace, I'd watch!
@@Autofaze and of course I was totally joking about disagreeing with the ceta. Totally biased Bc I love mine. Lol. Love your content and your video editing. Great stuff. Thanks for the positive words.
I'd love to have a 30th or Ceta! Maybe on day! Thanks for the compliment and watching! We love making content and automobiles ♥️
what do you mean only 265 of your 30th made ? like 6 speed or what?
what size tires is he running?
I do not know. He is a member on the ws6 facebook group though.
How do i get custom offsets?
Call Weld Wheels and told them you saw this video!
I was torn between the white and yellow. I bought the white, loved it, totaled it about 7 years ago and have been sick over it ever since. I totally lost my desire for cars. I guess I'm here for self punishment.
John! You gotta find that passion again man!
@@Autofaze I've been trying but it was like a first love. The only thing that lights me up inside is the white 2002 even though the 99 and up look the same. I think the passion will find me again, but it is a love at first sight type of thing, and I killed him. Thanks though for the pep talk.
You have to drive one again. Hear and feel that ls1 kick. It will get your blood flowing again.
@@sucapizda I have been looking lately. The white ones are hard to find. My friend felt bad for me and gave me a Ford Fusion 4 cylinder front wheel drive. That's putting a little bug up my ass. I really appreciate it though. I never had less than an 8 cylinder rear wheel drive. it's taking a lot to get used to..😣
Where can I find a trans am to buy?
facebook groups, internet forums, ebay and local classified ads online.
what shocks/spring does the CETA have?
I believe it was on sportlines but he recently switched to a strano/koni setup. Thanks for watching
@@Autofaze No worries man, Love the quality content, I bought a black 2002 Trans Am WS6 2 months ago.. this channel inspired me to make similar mods
I just installed the same size weld wheels and tires last week.. looks mean, I just need to get rid of that wheel gap now
@Andreweoliver love it!!! Depends on what you want to do with the car. We have more of a drag racing setup on ours but its low. Tim's was more geared towards handling. Appreciate you watching!!
@@Autofaze Hey, sorry to bug ya with another question, I have looked everywhere for info regarding the suspension set up on the CETA - I have the exact same size wheels and tires and cant find any consistent info. Do you know what he's running? Looking to drop mine, but it seems challenging now with these wheels/tires
Any help is appreciated

true duals right?
That is correct!

@@Autofaze You seen the purple one in Iceland running weld S71’s!?! It’s gorgeous!
@@zachgiddens4569 no but it sounds legit 🤘
Fml the Fbody trans ams are soo dmn sexy & yet soo over priced from idiots trying to sell them for 10 - 15k with over 200k miles ect rediculous... I been searching for 5 years for 1 but refuse to over pay for what its truly worth
They are definitely gaining in value! We spent 6 months searching for a clean white one so I hear your struggle! They are only going to get harder to find.
I just bought a one owner 1999 TA for $5K. Inside and out looks brand new. 72yr old man bought it new and babied it. Has 80,000 miles. The deal of a lifetime. Keep looking, one will pop up!
Whites not the 2nd most rare it goes
Purple
Gold
Orange
Yellow
Silver
Blue
White
Pewter
Red
Black
It sure seems like it is in the midwest. I see the most of red and black! I am certain the CETA yellow is more rare than sunset orange but who knows lol
@@Autofaze sunset orange is more rare for ws6 cars(every ceta is a ws6)
The color list I made was for ws6s I probably should've specified that
@@TehGoldd check this out! www.transamworld.com/WS6-colors-breakdown.htm
Pretty cool!!!
ehh. I don't care how rare a white TA is. white is the worst color lol. because its not a color. white looks unfinished, like its waiting for real paint... also never realized how much better the CETA looks without the stripes. always thought they were tacky
Lazy Lion, we are going to agree to disagree. White is my favorite on all autos, I will die on that hill. Color is subjective to the person :)
You never answered your own question, so WTF are you saying
Ouch
You totally ruined the fucking car with the black tail lights and the stupid exhaust. I get the fact that the original wheels were a little boring but the rest of the car was perfect as it was from factory
Oof someone get this person a bar of soap!
