Loved watching my dad the Late George Camarillo Sr- purchase your ukulele then receiving them with such a big smile! Each one...for his Waiakea Intermediate School Ukulele band that I was a part of for 4 years unlike everyone for 2-3:) Then even taught the class for a year after George Jr. Retired to see those Kamaka's still there like before! So special. Mahalo to the Kamaka Ohana.
Heritage seems to be the key. My Chinese ancestors were from Hawaii so I feel connected to my past when I chose the ukulele as my preferred instrument!
Fred Kamaka has an interesting accent. Doesn't sound like a typical Hawaiian one, it sounds almost like a New York one. Reminds me of Stan Lee the Marvel Comics guy.
love watching it seing the old man, that my mom is taking care of. always stay healthy sam kamaka.
