I have bought these cards. Using layers of wax and fusing carefully still bends the cards out of shape. Now watching your video, (and the wax sealer one), I realise that you apply paints with the iron only, but do not layer nor fuse. I wish I had known that before I made the purchase and I understand why pre-encaustic gessoed board are so much more expensive. Like a wood support, they don’t warp. .
A low setting on a normal iron might still be too hot for the wax, and might even burn your paper. Also, most normal iron will produce steam, which would not be suitable for this!
