Yeah, its a lot closer to the actual final scene of Halo 2 where the instrumental plays after Chief says "Finishing this fight."

It’s seems more like they’re telling us they’re saying goodbye to the games they know we didn’t like and are opening the doors to another era of good or great halo games, but with Infinite I can definitely tell that’s what they’re trying to do.

Halo 2's "The Last Spartan" is more inspiring and amazing. I could feel the chills running down my spine, as I imagine chief about to blow up a Covenant Supercarrier by himself.

Both different tones like in h2 we see him being heroic and giving the covenant back their bomb while infinite sounds kinda sad but hopeful

I love how they showed more of chiefs human moral side from the books into infinite. They did a good job on that aspect but now let’s hope the campaign is just as good !!
Update so far this game has exceeded my expectations. One of the best tier halo games ever made!!

Infinite’s is definitely more of a hopeful version compared to Halo 2’s which is more heroic sounding

Yup, it’s another cliffhanger. Chief confronts the Harbinger at the very end, who’s part of a new species called the Endless. Chief beats her, but she says the Endless will finally be unleashed. Chief jumps through a portal to an unknown destination.

They sound different because the latter is more of a tribute. It’s a different time in the Halo universe now than Halo 2, it was simpler. Chief was younger, arguably still in his prime, fighting the most powerful army in the Galaxy to defend Earth. He was more than a legend, and he could afford to have fanfare because Johnson, Keyes and Cortana were all still alive.
Now Chief is older, no longer in his prime, wiser but more weary. The universe has changed, things aren’t so black and white. But at least he has hope now at the end of Infinite, Cortana’s kind of back (not really but her name is Cortana so 🤷‍♀️) and he has found friendship in Fernando.

Finding myself wondering what the Tone/Theme of Infinite will be. Prob won’t be a Space Opera like 2. Maybe an action movie/emotional send off like 3? Perhaps a dark and hopeless tone like in Reach?
It’s own thing?
Pfft haha like 343 has the balls to do it’s own thing after 4 and 5.

Lol, from the songs I've listened from the full soundtrack, sounds like they took huge inspiration from the old games by bringing back gems like this one. But the new music is very diverse, it's good and SOUNDS like Halo. For example the one that is called "Escharum", that one sounds amazing. By the way, I have Halo Infinite's full soundtrack in my channel, is the video that has like 57 views so if you want to listen to it with the official names, then there it is.
