5 MONTH UPDATE!!!! Overall fairly satisfied, however I would recommend getting a 4GB ram instead of 2gb ram model for $50-60 more on Amazon.
I have had mine for 2 months and love it. No complaints. I would recommend getting 4GB units as it would be much faster than the 2GB. You will love it! Thanks for the video
was it difficult to retain the factory camera, and what was involved in hooking it up, also did you have to upgrad the "CAN bus" on the radio or...im looking at getting one myself but i havnt been able to decide weather or not i need the 2 core 2gb ram or the 4 core model amazon canada has options all the way to 8core 8gb ram sooo
I have one of those on my 2014 1500 ram , the radio is loud but when I connect my phone or play UA-cam or my music on my phone the volume goes down. Any advice on what might be the problem… TIA
Do you ever have an issue where the car play won’t connect and the screen just says verification approved? That’s what is happening to me every so often.
I don’t have an actual fix, but I close all apps out and click “reboot” or “restart system” and usually it’ll help fine when it connects for a few days or so.
I bought something similar and everything works well. I too have a 4th Gen Warlock trim. Did you retain your Parksence factory beeps with this unit? My Android unit is responding with my gauge cluster and showing the rear bumper senor, but is not giving me the tones for proximity in my speakers like my old unit did.
Please help, I’m lost.. 2015 ram 1500 big horn looks the exact same as yours. I disconnected my factory got the this new one all mounted up ready to go. Went to plug in the screen and no power the my new aftermarket screen. Connected back to my factory unit works perfect. Idk why it’s now powering up
It could be defective. Try unplugging and replugging in, check all connections and make sure nothing is loose. Did you disconnect battery during install? If not you could of sent a static charge, I think that’s what it’s called, but you get what I mean and that can shock the board causing a resistor to fail. Try checking everything, no good I’d suggest sending back.
Hey, did you ever figure this out? When I installed my new one, I had the exact same issue. It was the canbus attachment (little red box that’s sorta clear)
Ignore my original comment, I deleted it. I didn’t end up keeping this unit installed, the only issue it ever had was volume and used to drive me nuts. It would go up and down on its own, probably just a defective unit, but I got the 4gb model now with OLED and it’s great. Same company I believe. Check my channel for the updated one.
Check all your included wires. I’ve had 3 of these in dash aftermarket upgrades (not replacing, they hold up nicely, just kept upgrading) and on each model it was a yellow wire or yellow wire adapter + a cord that is basically a USB-A type. Remember the old school wire that was on the ps3 controller and also on older mp3 players and some phones. That one. You need both plugged in, one is for power other is for video.
I know for sure I did not plug in that “Camera type plug” as I couldn’t find a plug for it. I’m gonna have to double check it one evening this week. Thanks again.
I upgraded. Same brand, but 4gb ram model with 1080p instead of 720p. I strongly believe it would still be working. The main issue that drove me crazy was the volume was moving on its own however it was probably a factory defect.
@@Letsdoittv67 our screens look identical but I don’t believe I have that option. Did you post an install video? I’m just curious if I have all the same plugs. Or do you remember what was needed to do to modify the yellow adapter?
@@joshsummers1280 were you able to figure it out? I don’t have a full install video I also had to go behind my work the first time. There was an accessories bag and one of them converts the signal to another wire on the harness.

I’m thinking my set up must be different. I have the mini usb, but it’s goes to a 4 pin connector. And no yellow r-cam. I’m thinking I have to splice :/
I’m going to be pretty useless here, I do believe I saw a red/white hookup on the back but I could be wrong. I’d suggest going with the slightly higher end model if you purchase, and I do believe the Amazon links show full picture of back and front.
No, I never did get it to work. I most likely missed something in the instruction manual. I have the upgraded version now with 8 cores 4 GB ram. It also has OLED instead of LCD.
No it was plug and play. I believe this is only for the 7 speed fan models that have RA1 or RA2 radios, so you’ll need to move the ac control module to the new face plate. It was super easy took about 25 minutes to compete the entire thing.

Yep and that’s what I did. No major issues and it’s way better than that factory uconnect system.

Plug and play for back up camera. I’d go with 8 cord 8gb ram or 4gb. I have the 2gb due to it being cheapest it isn’t bad at all but sometimes slow.
