I can't believe I found you again. I was looking at the thumbnails of the videos and I was thinking it looked like you but.....I got use to seeing the BandO brand. Btw, I'm loving the beard. You look amazing buddy.
İts really complicated and multifunctional product, and i have a question. Can i connect this to my tv via hdmi and connect bang olufsen speakers to them.
Not dumb at all! Yes you can. Connect the output from the Core to the Beolab 2 subwoofer IN socket and connect the Beolab 3 to the Beolab 2 OUT sockets.
i think a real world test would be good. With the apple home pod 2 speaker, i noticed that when connected to a mac and watching a youtube video, the sound matches with the video but when I skip 5/10 sec ahead or even worst 5/10 sec back, the sound is off for a while and not synchronized with the video. I'm curious whether the beoconnect core is powerful enough to do this in real time
Maybe I’m missing something…but on the website they prominently show an old pair of Beolab 3’s that do not have the new RJ45. Where are the adaptors? Any in the box?
Hi Paul, no there are no adaptors in the box. RJ45 - Powerlink adaptors can be ordered from a B&O dealer as a spare part. Or get them or a cable from Steve at Sounds Heavenly. soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/30-370-rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-clip-on-adapter-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink.html#/18-colour-black soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/31-325-rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-all-in-one-cable-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink.html#/9-length-18m
Hi . Thanks for this. I’m looking to replace my Hub that came with my S8 2.1 system (the volume has stopped working ) you mention it only does 2.0 but I’m assuming if I connect with rj45 the S8 will handle the crossover? Thanks
Hi, and thanks! You would have to use a PL splitter / switch to connect multiple speakers and the Beolab 19. It's a shame the Core only has one PL output! - John
I've not had much time with it in the Shape here, I used it on Beolab 18, 8000, 28 before I filmed. Initial impressions on first listen are yes, it does make a difference in the Shape. - John
No, Beosound A5 does not need an external streamer they have it built in already. Core and A5 will join together using multi room if that's what you mean?
@@Peter-Tyson . . . Thanks a lot for the answer. I would love to Connect my Beolab 18/19 directly. But loosing the bass management in Transmitter 1 is not an option ☹️
Thanks for your well-structured walkthrough, John! :) Greetings from one of those old ones :).
Good to see you in the comments again Csaba. - John.

Hello John! Glad to see you continuing the excellent work of explaining the latest and greatest in the world of the finest tech. Thank you!
Great to see you again John, speaking about B&O 🙂
Loving your work.
Amazing video. Can i ask you something. How can i connect both speakers to the tv and add them to play on sonos system as well?
Nice one John

Yes.
sorry if I sound dumb, but can I've got a beolab 2 sub & beolab 3 speakers - can I connect all to a Core? thanks
Not dumb at all! Yes you can. Connect the output from the Core to the Beolab 2 subwoofer IN socket and connect the Beolab 3 to the Beolab 2 OUT sockets.
Hi John! Do you have any knowledge about how this works with the Beolab 5? Is it the same “issue” as with the beosound core?
Hi, can you explain the issue please? I have Core and BL5 and I hear some white noise..? Thanks

Hello down in the comments 😀 keep up the good work John.
Lovely to hear from you! Hope you're keeping well 😊. - John
Will the USBC output and the RJ45 both output at the same time? Or is it one or the other?
Thanks
Is this worth upgrading from the core? As I have no use for the HDMI eARC as my core is not located near my TV.
Hi John,
does it support DLNA to play music from NAS or other DLNA servers?
The Bang & Olufsen still supports it... so there's hope.
Hello! Yes, in the Music tab on the app go to the settings cog and Home Media. You can add a DLNA server. - John

Absolutely right, just connect the sub to the Core and the small speakers to the sub as normal. -John
thank you. And one last question does the AirPlay only work as an input or can you play from the core to AirPlay speakers as well?
Input only.
So this will not work with Beolab 2?
In a stereo setup, yes. Plug Beolab 2 into the Powerlink out of the Core. Plug the speakers into the outputs on Beolab 2. - John
How would you use a 19 in a stereo setup? Great video and I have been a day one fan since the Manchester videos!

@@Peter-Tyson would there be any cross over when you assign the speaker types or would the main speakers play the full sound with the 19?
Did you notice a big difference with Ur Shape mate?

Hello! Will it work with Beosound A5 pair?
No, Beosound A5 does not need an external streamer they have it built in already. Core and A5 will join together using multi room if that's what you mean?
So, we still need the Transmitter 1 for wireless ?
Yes, there is no WiSA built in. - John

No optical out?
Hello down in the comments to you too😇
One day, I will find a way to get surround sound from my PC to beolab speakers, but today was not the day. Sigh.
New Peter video dropped ! Helloooooo!!!! (* edit : New Peter-Tyson video hosted by John dropped ! Hellooooooo!!! 😅)
Well hello! - John.
made some slight tweaks to my initial comment - my apologies 🤦🏻♂️ love your reviews and picks on this channel !
