    Hello, many people have installed with two vents one on the top of wastegate and one from the boost controller. But, in your installation there is only one vent that is through the boost controller. Which one is better? I have a mitsubishi evo with wastegate of 1bar spring.

      The boost controller should've come with a manual but both of my cars now I have the block between the boost controller and the wastegate. Wastegate unused ports are shut. The boost controller top port is the vent. I let it disconnected. I hope it helps 👍

    Do you need to tune the car after installing a manual boost controller or can you drive it as is?

    • @CarModsGarage
      @CarModsGarage  Рік тому

      Well if your car is tuned to let's say 5 psi and you install it and set to be at 10 psi.. your car will need to know how much fuel and timing to set between 5 and 10 psi. So... Probably yes if you increase the current voost

    What about if the turbo don’t have the plug? My is 420a but doesn’t have that plug in the turbo, how I installed?

      By the plug you mean where you put the vacuum/pressure line?
      If yes you can either get it from somewhere else or drill a hike and tap to read it then install that connector.

    • @CarModsGarage

      The vacuum line melted a bit even with the thermal protection. I suspended a but with brackets and added a better thermal protection to the lines. So far so good

    I got a question, what if my car already got a ecu reflashed, will this works ?? No??

    • @CarModsGarage
      @CarModsGarage  3 роки тому +1

      The boost controller will. The difference is that the more boost you add you end up going to a different area on your fuel table. You need to be sure you reflash has that part tuned already.

    • @CarModsGarage
      @CarModsGarage  3 роки тому +1

      @@zhangchengyi717 no worries. You might have a wastegate on your care which controls max boost you can have. This will double that max boost. In short if you wastegate has a 7lb spring you should be able to go all the way to 14 lb. If this over posts your turbo I don't know but it can definitely give you more boost than you car can handle

    how does it work? open up turbo pounds?

    • @CarModsGarage
      @CarModsGarage  4 роки тому +1

      So the turbo has a vacuum line that connects to the wastegate. The wastegate had a spring that has a rating let's say 7 pounds of boost. When your turbo boosts over the amount of the spring rate (7pounds on this example) the wastegate will open and let the air go through a different pipe. The dump pipe.
      After all of that we can make the car make more boost with the boost controller. In short what it does is it let's some air scape from the vaccum line that comes from the turbo "lying" the correct amount of boost to the wastegate. So if you open the boost controller a little bit and it let's scape 3 pounds of boost your turbo would make 10 pounds of boost before letting the air scape from the wastegate.
      Does it answer your question?

      @@angelautotint100879 The way I put it together on this video if it totally closed it will push all the bust back into the spring and it will boost forever. DON'T leave it closed all the way :).
      If you leave it open all the way then it will rely on the spring rate to open since there is no force coming from the top.
      I changed the setup. Watch my other video and see if you can take anything from it. Much easier ua-cam.com/video/dZliIhPjzOM/v-deo.html

      No it doesn't. It just prevents the turbo from putting more pressure than you want. Set it in a way that the top psi is 15 for example and it won't pass 15:psi

    e quanto ao combustível, a injeção corrige e joga mais?

    • @CarModsGarage
      @CarModsGarage  3 роки тому +1

      as ECUs tem um negocio chamado short ter trim and long term trim. Ele joga mais gasolina se precisar e tira gasolina se tiver muito. Geralmente e' usado pra compensar combustivel ruim e altirude ou algum problema com vacuum leak. A ECU compensa ate certo ponto. Se voce tiver aftermarket ECU ai voce controla quanto manda de combustivel.
