This video was soooo fun to make!! I hope it inspires you to keep learning outside of formal education and to realise how many unique ways there are to learn beyond just exams 🦋
Thanks for the Viedeo. I am taking a break semester at Uni right now and am learning so much about myself. I thought I had it all figured out, but after a burn out semester I had to take this break, and now nothing makes sense anymore. The viedeo is very inspiring, Thank you !!! Love your Podcast BTW.
Loved the video! I would also love a longer video on your experience volunteering, the benefits and how to find volunteering opportunities that suit you best and make the greatest impact
Arguably the StudyTube phenomenon has made a major impact on education because it is so accessible. As one who had a very bad experience with mathematics as a schoolboy in the 1970s I've taken a deeper dive over the past five years into algebra and calculus which has led to a growing interest in orbital mechanics. It actually enriches my life although I concede that this might sound a bit bonkers.
My Computer Science professor told me his math professors start to laugh when he and his classmates were doing the exams, that explains why he was such a compassionate professor. It doesn't sound bonkers, I didn't like Physics during high school and didn't need it in college but now I'm eager to learn.
I guess an in depth video could work if you are looking for something VERY detailed super similar to a school setting. But if the simple advice of, just make a list of things you want to regarding that topic ( which platforms to use, which docus to watch etc), work then so be it.
This is so true - I am currently studying a Masters again after a few gap years freelancing as a musician, but there are so many extra things I need to self-study outside of my course at conservatoire. As a classical singer, I am trying to learn German (a skill very necessary as a professional classical musician that is sadly not covered in my course), but I find after a long day at college I sometimes lack motivation to put the extra time to study a language - this is such a fun exercise to self-access how we are creating these patterns though, thank you so much!
Jade, I love your passion for learning. Before I found your channel, I felt like there was something wrong with me for always being the curious girl with a million questions, especially in my small village school where learning wasn't very popular. You've shown me that being a nerd is actually cool. Thank you for teaching me that.
I recently did a language stay in Oxford at a school to improve my English and it was very beneficial. Being immersed in the language 24 hours a day, chatting to other foreign students, listening to the teachers' lessons and staying with a host family has clearly helped me in my learning; I started learning English again in January and was at beginner level (A2), but, with weekly online lessons plus this language stay, I am now at level B2, (higher intermediate); above that, there are levels C1 (expert) and C2 (bilingual). I continue to learn daily with books (I'm currently reading Quiet by Susan Cain in English), podcasts in English, UA-cam videos in English on different subjects (and yours), I watch my series on Netflix (or elsewhere) in English with English subtitles, in short I try to do as many things as possible in English to be immersed in the language on a daily basis and so learn every day. P.S: I'm 40 years old.
This video came just in time as I recently decided to quit my job and start learning the things I actually want to learn, both to pursue my passion for learning and for levelling up my skills.
Having left formal education this year I love how this video suddenly feels like an answer to all my questions? So thank youu. Would love to see an adult study day or week in your life!!
Casual Magic Tier: watching unjaded jade videos and consciously choosing to take on some of your advice !! genuinely your videos have been life changing for me - i have been watching since you started when we were both in highschool, and your approach has inspired me and guided me in so many facets of my life - thank you so much jade !!!
I really needed this…have had a difficult couple of weeks learning about myself through therapy and lots of vulnerable conversations in my relationships and I felt like I was not learning and slacking off from my degree but I was just learning in a new way…such a great reframe ❤
You look GORGEOUS. You look so prettyyyy so cuteee and wow. I know I say this a lot but I mean it every single time. Your fashion self expression is a beautiful art. This video is such a niche content for me and I love it. I LOVE LEARNING! Also your categories were so fun and all the methods were so thought out like from social media feed to Netflix to journaling to podcasts to failure to THERAPY to difficult conversations. All the untraditional forms of learning the we don't often think about. My takeaway from this video was that you can earn from so many thing as long as you're mindful and intentional of the way you're engaging with it. And I loved the end of the video where you validate us all that we're learning so much in our day to day life without even knowing about it. Loved this video honestly. So fun.
I loved this video & Jade you are glowing! Having recently quit my job to move abroad and focus my time on learning a new skill and switching careers, this video really made me feel warm in realising I am being productive and learning waay more than I think, so many beautiful ways to learn that I never even considered 🦋💖
Learning French has made me realise how humbling language learning is. I've been learning French for a few months now and it's like rediscovering the world. Which can sometimes be an uphill task.
Currently in hospital for months on end. I love geography and facts about the world. As I have all the time on my hands I’ve see out on my mission to write a double page spread with maps about every country on the world. Reeks of y6 geography school project vibe but I’m wallowing in the geeky and others are enjoying reading it as I go along! Learned so much!
Hi Jade, I wanted to say thanks for all the inspirtation you've given me over the past few years. I found your channel in year 10 and your passion for learning was just infectous, ended up with mostly 9s and an 8 at GCSE and 3 A* grades in maths chem physics in August. Your videos have shaped my views towards study so much 💚💚
Such a wise soul! Keep growing, lovey! I am 18 and had a really very tough year while struggling with just learning about myself, my cracks, what I want, who I am and then also dealing with tough life situations that show us a mirror by giving us a real picture of how we 'act' in a certain condition etc. I keep stressing sometimes if I have just wasted my 18 years of life but watching people like you helps me gain some good energy that causes me to think that life isn't about early success but mapping and creating and steering 'well' in the journey of life you are living in. Like you said creating something tangible out of what you have on your mind or what you know just helps us learn about so many realms of ourselves that we didn't even know about. Adulting is beautiful if done in the right way. I hope I find my right way soon. Thank you for being such a bliss! ❤
Hey! I'm also 18 and also struggling in my life now. I just wanted to support you (and me) and show that you're not alone. Thank you for your comment, I wish you all the best
Wow, I’m so excited to finally see something about studies! 😊 Thanks a bunch, Jade! You opened up the productivity world for me when I was feeling down and u totally helped. 🌟💪
You look more and more like the beautiful woman you're meant to become each year 😍 and with beautiful I also mean from the inside and how you handle things! It's so wonderful to grow up with you as my big sister in a way, because I'm a few years younger than you and we're on similar paths and I've been following you since you were 17 or so. I'm usually a quiet viewer but I'm trying to spread positive vibes in the comments lately
I will add I am disabled that affects the way I learn and one of the things I think most people don't need to know but it is interesting to me is I have to take in the information to learn things like your course on how to best study I'll take in the information but then I have to adapt it best for me I would say that's casual magic because you're constantly finding new ways to problems and constantly your brain is changing from experience when I was in year one I would say I was below average on processing and adapting facts but I would say for year 2 I would say I was above very good for adapting not for processing but I do have a slow processing delay so that would make sense although I did not know that at the time that I was processing things slower I didn't know that somebody talking and hearing what they were saying later on was not normal but Good Job Jade
Jade, we are learning new things all the time by reading books, watching documentaries and historical films and even reading newspapers and magazines even if we are not doing any degrees at University. Jade, when are you going to do your Master's and PhD?
can you please please please make a video talking about the books that changed your perspective? especially fiction. I dont read fiction often and I want to find stories that help me understand the experiences of other people
@ that would be so right for u babes! I love research, but the pressure of doing a PhD freaks me out! How are you dealing with the trade-off? Big hug from the Netherlands :)
I’d really like to give you credit for saying there are so many ways to look at the USA’s recent election results. It pains me that so many people here are not asking the questions and not thinking critically 😢 Loved this video; thank you 😊
This was so helpful in perspective of my upcoming final exam. By the way Jade you are an angel and I would not have gotten where I have without you and I applied for Minerva class of 2028 , FINGERS CROSSED. GOD BLESS YOU❤🩹.

Could you perhaps do a video on how to create your own curriculum. Was really inspired by that point but dont know how to tackle it💖

How do learn German? Do you have some special learn technics? I'm mother tongue speaker and really interested😂

Be careful with following IG creators for learning given how easy it is to spread false information and biased ideas ❤
