After watching a lot of your vids I was honestly surprised to see no rust prevention activities while the roof lining was out since it is a major problem with them

Love your work on another round eye classic! Sounds great after the desmog and no more worrying about the air pump seizing up. I don’t blame you calling a pro to replace the glass. I put new glass in my ‘86 FJ60 and uncovered some common rust around the A pillars that I would not have seen had I not replaced the glass…so glad I caught it and addressed it. I would have loved to have seen some dynamat go down to help quiet the cabin before the new carpet install, but carpet looks great! BTW that parts cleaner worked some magic 🪄. Keep up the great work and keep on Crusin’!

Great tips. You did a lot of things in this video I’ve been considering, windshield, carpet and I may do a full desmog this winter. My pump went out a few years ago so I just took the vanes out. My concern is getting the carb set properly without all the plumbing, as it works well now.

Should have put vinyl instead of carpet with sound deadening, hose out holes too, love your work mate, classic rigs

we cant get Vinyl easily for these in the states. The carpet kits are hard enough. honestly would rather have OEM carpet in it. but thats even harder to find.

    • @mizeadventure9438

It eliminates vac leaks and makes the motor run smoother and performance. Depends on where you live on if you can take it off

How long (aside from refinishing + shipping part times) did it take for the Desmog process? I just bought an 87 and it's going to be on my list at some point to tackle.
    Great video!
