  • A few weeks back I was tagged to a picture on social media by several people of this wrecked 1989 Red FJ62. They all said "Please Help this guy!!" One thing led to another and I found myself picking up this truck to begin reconstructing her once perfect body. A few days of hard work and the luck of having all the correct color matched parts and she was revived. Enjoy the story and hard work behind keeping another one of these true Toyota Classics on the road.

    Well done.
I am currently restoring my rust free '89 FJ62 3F and need a few scarce parts, over here in the South African BushVeld.
Would have loved to visit your treasure trove of parts...

how did you bend back the front bumper mounts? and do you have to disconnect anything on the radiator when removing the rad support?

the engine is a 2F or 3F? I never realized of that air intake on engines older than 1993... for a moment o thought that was a 1FZ-FE engine

Mize magic 🪄 insurance company would have totaled it for sure. but you Frankensteined it back to life. I was hit from behind and didn’t realize it broke my FJ60 motor mounts. Heck of a job keeping this dinosaur 🦖 on the road…Keep on Crusin’!!
