Thank you very much for showing how to tied mono to braided line. After years of not doing any fishing, I'm starting to get back into it. I was very heavy into Bass fishing in the 90's so I've been cleaning rods, reels and replacing lines. At least the lures I have were new in the 90's, todays fish haven't seen them.😅
Thank you for watching.
Awesome, good demonstration, couldn’t be better
Thank you! Thanks for watching. Jerry
Thanks Jerry.
Thank you for watching!
Really nice! Great job! I do use a clinch knot but I run it double through the eye and I’ve never had a fail
I’ll try that. Thanks for watching.
@@JerrysRetirementWisdom65 you are welcome!
I recommend using a short wooden dowel to wrap the line around to the tension on the knot, also wet the line and knot so it slides without as much friction.
Thanks for the tip!
@JerrysRetirementWisdom65 Any time, I've cut my fingers many times using just my hands. Also, I took a friend fishing last fall, and he uses a regular loop knot to tie lures to his line but he ties an overhand knot on the trash end. It slips until it gets to the knot and then holds. I haven't tried it, but I watched him do it.
Jerry. That lure you used for the loop.uni looks like an old Producers (Roscoe's Shiner). Used to buy those as a kid at Kmart since they were cheap but worked great. Nice retro flashback and great knot info!
Thanks for watching!
Use the improved clinch knot making 10 to 12 turns and it won't pull loose. I use it and have not yet lost a fish
Thanks. I will check it out.
In sewing that's a french knot
Thank you, did not know that.
