I love that little town it was so cute. Thanks again for taking me a long I really enjoyed it . Glad you're getting your bike fixed so you and Lilly can have fun. Thanks for a great video Amber and Lilly and enjoy your life. Catt.🐈 TEXAS,
You're welcome Cathy. So glad you enjoyed!
Been Binge watching your videos, I was through there Aug 2nd, and just love that drive along 18 ( Roosevelt Hwy ) !
We love history too! Isn’t it fun to just pull over on a whim and explore?!
Carole!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes you're so right. It's such a great feeling. When we get together again we'll have to share historic places so I can add to my Google map of places to go. I think the more I travel and more I get to "walk in history" of these lands, the smaller I feel and the more grateful I am. Hope to see you soon.
Hi !! I so enjoy you videos !! I like your routes etc ! I’m hoping to get on the road within a year or so !! I’m chomping to get out !! But .. I have to figure out the high speed reliable internet !! Still working !! But I’m learning a lot from these videos and groups !! Your one of my very favorite !! Safe travels
Nikki Casanova you are so welcome and I appreciate you taking the time comment. 💖 Oh I know too well that feeling, but it will be here before you know and you're doing your research so that will take some time so you can be prepared. The good news about Internet is that it's doable on the road. It comes with some challenges, but mostly self imposed - like wanting to stay in the National Forest where cell signal is almost no existent. Good luck in your research and hope to see you on the road.
Another area not too far away for me to check out - maybe this summer! When about 10 yrs old, it was mentioned at a family gathering, that one of my ancestors - my maternal grandmother's French Canadian cousin, was quite famous for regularly traversing the falls on a tightrope! His last name was Blondin. I was telling a friend about him a year or so ago, then realized - I knew little about him - then too - considering that these days, I could just google him, I did! WoW! It was all true!
Cheryl it's a very cool experience. You could spend the whole day in the park and so much to do. Holy cow! I just looked up Blondin! Super courageous with maybe a little crazy to do something like that. The pictures online are fantastic of his tight rope walking. See now you just must go. :)
I love Lilly’s googles! They are so cute on her! LOL
Isn't she the cutest with those things on??!!! I wish she liked it more.
Story Chasing I had a rescue Corgi with a congenital eye defect which didn’t allow her iris to close enough in bright light. She always wore Doggles outside and got used to them after a while.
LOL I love how you got a nice profile of that tall guy cleaning the cannon. you should have flirted with him more. Summer romance at the fort!
coldsake07 ....lol! haha
Have you been through Fort Ticonderoga? Is very interesting too.
Jean I haven't been there before but just looked it up and darn if I didn't go just east of it on the way to Maine. I'm adding it to my list though. Thanks for the sharing this historic site with me.
The white cherries hav more vitamin C 😊
Those goggles 🤣😂
Hehe "goggles". too funny. 😁
I'd love RVing if I wasn't so afraid to try.
I was afraid in the beginning too. I put together a video about it to address these fears so maybe that will help: ua-cam.com/video/5bmzstAMzN4/v-deo.html We all can be that way. It's pretty normal, but it's about pushing through.

I’m with you but I’m going to try just local places.
I have a terrible sense of direction but I’m dying to get out there and explore.
I figure baby steps to start 😊
Now that you’ve been traveling for a while, what changes would you make? Ex, rig and the choices you’ve made. How have you handled having to fly for work and storing the rv and pet boarding? I’m a few years away from retirement but looking to eventually purchase an rv and travel. Keep up the good work.
Hi Kim, you have some great questions and ones that I'll be addressing in some upcoming videos. There are definitely changes that I would make regarding the RV I purchased. Think smaller! :) When I fly for work I find an RV park and keep it there then board Lily at Petsmart boarding. She has a wellness plan at Banfield and so her records carry over to all of the Petsmart Pethotels so it just makes it easy. I wouldn't park at the airport. My whole life is in that RV so I tell the owners of the park that I'll be gone and flying and they keep an eye out for me. Will you be traveling with pets as well? So exciting Kim on your upcoming retirement and your decision to RV. I don't regret one moment of making this decision. I feel like I'm always on vacation (most of the time) and get to explore in my down time. It's really liberating and fun.
Story Chasing Great idea about the RV park. I've been researching what type of vehicle I would purchase as I would be a full timer....like you, sell everything. I've eliminated anything on a Mercedes chassis because of the diesel blend problems and not many certified mechanics in Iowa. Thought of a truck camper so I would have four wheel drive for remote dry camping but I think I want immediate accessibility to the cab in the event I have to make a quick getaway. Really liking the Thor 23U and 22E as neither have slide outs. Lol, it's nice to dream..... Where are you waiting out winter? From the videos I watch, it seems the southwest is the place to be. Safe travels my friend. Kim
Kim those all great ideas to sort through. I had similar thoughts on the Mercedes chassis and also the cost of working on that engine. The Ford Transits are nice and the Dodge Promasters but they use a Fiat engine so you might be in the same predicament as the Mercedes. lol...."Getaway" OMG. I said the same thing and I do like that. Thankfully I've never had to make a quick getaway, but you could always hookup the truck and camper at night so just in case. I know it's a pain, but just a though. Yep, with you all the way on the slide outs. It does give you more room; however to me it's just another thing that can break and needs maintenance and the smaller rigs, 25ish foot RVs, have the slide out for the bed. I didn't want that because when you're stopped at Walmart or places where you really shouldn't be using your slides, I didn't want my slide to me on the bed, plus they make the mattress a trifold which means you have to unfold and refold the bed every time you want to sleep. If I had to do it again, I'd do the Hymer Active or buildout a Ford Transit. I like the mobility better and that it can get into regular spaces. But I do love my RV and feels more like a home because it has a couch, dinette, bed and kitchen. The vans have all of that except for the couch, but I'm ok with that. When I went from a house to this RV I of course downsized, but you wouldn't believe how much I DON'T use so I could downsize even more into a van easily. You have a lot to think about but you'll figure it out. Are you already going to look at RVs and testing them out so you can see what you're more comfortable with? As for winter - I've been in NM, AZ, CA, NV just bopping around those areas. I wasn't sure how I'd like the more desert climates, but it hasn't been bad and it's actually grown on me. There's a lot of beauty around.
Story Chasing I like my Chevy Roadtrek 210 Popular van. It’s smaller but I wanted to be more Stealthy. Many times I can pass as just a vehicle which is great!! I got on a Ferry at just a vehicle rate! Even though small have lots of power for boondocking. Two 100 watts of solar, Four 6 volt batteries, the Underwood generator, and volt start. I don’t have a dry shower I have a wet bath. But with the Chevy Roadtreks they also have where you can extend the shower our into the isle. I used to have a 29’ Ford Fun Mover toyhauler but it was just to big to travel long distances. I had 2 mods made on my Roadtrek that give me a permanent twin bed and other the side and office with a table and pull out desk! It’s the perfect setup now. I just felt I could get away with a lot more on the road sticking to a van over a Class C rig.
Nice. I love your Roadtrek too!🙂
Oh no sorry about your bike pedals.
LOL...ugghhh..the bike pedals. That was frustrating, but hey I learned what not to do. :0
