I was just out trying to catch scuds and instead my first scoop of the net I pulled up a TON if these guys. I had no idea they were native to Ohio. I’m astonished. How cool.

I hope to make a vernal pool on my property. Found some local clam shrimp, and hope those can successfully survive! :)

I found a wild fairy shrimp and it looks similar but different, can i acclimate it to freshwater to cohabitate with my albino plecos?

Have nothing against fairy shrimp but zealous "protection of fairy shrimp" at Fairview Park , Costa Mesa, CA, by USG Fish and Wildlife Service is one major factor why Parks Dept, finally prohibited paid permit RC electric powered model plane and glider flying at Fairview Park after 36 years of harmonious flying hobby usage.
