Came to UA-cam to understand this excersise better. Couldn't have asked for a more detailed guide. I'll definitely be watching this video many times so I can make successful progression. Thanks🙏🙏🙏
I'm at the point in my kettlebell journey where it's time for double KB snatch so I came to UA-cam searching for some guidance and stumbled across this jewel. What an excellent job in the progression of instruction. One of the best videos I've viewed on UA-cam. I have some work to do and now believe I can do so better; thank you.
I've been using kettlebell a for about 18 months after a sports related injury. Love kettlebells they've changed my life for the better. Just stumbled on your UA-cam channel. I've struck kettlebell gold.....excellent demos and descriptive explanation to the drills. The snatch is the one technique I struggle with, mainly due to it tearing my hands up. 😳 Thank you, keep up the excellent channel. 👍💪
Hi Carlo, thank you very much for sharing and feedback, glad that kettlebell training helped you recover from injury! Thank you for the topic idea too. I used to tear my hands into ribbons with snatch a few years back, so it looks like there will be value in sharing my hand-saving snatch technique! Power on 😃
I just stumbled across your channel. Very nice, clear instruction and demonstration. I hope you keep putting out content. I have been kettlebelling for many years and have just started incorporating sport style after being hard style since I started (2006). Always looking to fine tune and find clearer ways to break down and explain the movements.
Hi! Been mothering full time and coaching part time, but now that our daughter is a little older (and before baby #2) I've got a bit more time for UA-cam, so hopefully more videos to come. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm!
Kat-onator ? Is it OK to use two different weight Kbs in the Double Snatch ....... I find it more realistic for my work . THere is nothing balanced about weight in a FORGE ......
Hi, the kettlebell landing forcefully on the forearm is prevented by: 1) keeping the kettlebell close to the body as it flies up 2) actively punching the hand into the handle rather than waiting for the kettlebell too flip around. I'm happy to make a video about it in the future, it's part of my new online course 'King Maker: Kettlebell Snatch' coming out in November.
Hi Saahir, this is hadrstyle technique. Girevik is just a Russian word for 'a man who trains with kettlebells'. There's a style called Girevoy, which is a Kettlebell endurance Sport. This is not Girevoy technique.
@@KatsKettlebellDojo Thanks for the reply Kat. I find your videos very good. But was a bit confused about whether this is hardstyle or Girevoy, but its now cleared up. If you could help me with one other matter. Is it that only cast iron kettlebells are used for hardstyle? Or can one also use competition kettlebells to do hardstyle? Tks again.
Great question. Both types of Kettlebells can be used for hardstyle training. But overall, competition Kettlebells are more suitable for tall people and men. Cast iron Kettlebells can be used by anybody, but at smaller sizes (8 kg, 12 kg) they might be uncomfortable for tall people due to smaller handle size. I have a video about which Kettlebells to choose for training, it could be helpful to you ua-cam.com/video/tlMrkIB2kuU/v-deo.html
This is pure kettlebell gold. Thanks Kat.

After the lock, when it leans on my forearm. How do I prevent it from hurting my forearm?

Is the video showing the hardstyle or the girevik style
