This song is a masterpiece, I've been listening to it for a good few years now and it never gets old. I love everything about it, the progression, the melody, the somber nature mixed with nostalgia. Everything
Did an analysis on this for music school. The progressions are very carefully placed, truly a small jewel! If they did it consciously, they are genius. If they did it through gut feeling, they are natural.
Master of the expression of that heavy, feeling of infinite unmendable heartache that surely there is no resolution in nature for...The tones here really access complex emotions of deep empathy. And the loneliness that comes with that if you feel it. SHould be no illusion it is scarce
Recently heard this on Justin's Rehab. I'm addicted and in luv with this track. It's overwhelming. I wish I wrote it. Amazing to jam fusion style guitar to. For me this music is Heaven!
@choppageworshipper exactly, drum & bass doesnt have to fit in to any specific patterns or stereotypes. those things i said are some of the few things you can actually define drum & bass by.
@TheSoundOfTheDead i would say best place to find pictures for record stickers, you know the thing on most vids, record logos is discogs just search the record label, the track and u shud find bio.. and pictures
@liamjd1 When i said the beats are "are quite unlike d&b", i mean the usage and positioning of kicks and snares in the loops rather than the actual sound of the beats.
I got all these Darkestral 12s, i never play them tbh-their fukin weird, this soundz more like 80s music init :-) I aint got anything against 80s music-on the contrary-i fukin love it, i am a child of the 80s, but this is hardly d&b.
@liamjd1 Those three things you list have nothing to do with anything, you seem to forget about the beats, which are quite unlike d&b. I have listened to d&b since around 1993, so i have heard a vast amount of the music including all the sub genre's, these beats do not fit into the stereotypical layout of any d&b or sub genre. Though If it were to be said that they are just experimental pieces which happen to be made by d&b producers- i would go along with that statement.

My thoughts exactly, mate... Every time I remember about it, it's like rediscovering it all over again.

It's hard to fathom that D Bridge and Fresh used to make songs together. This is so intricate and smooth.
That's a lovely comment. All of D-bridge's music feels like that!!

@tropigal1 Minimal D&B technically, but their music is always so fresh, i'd be tempted to put Autonomic in a genre all of it's own.
Verrrrrry Boards of Canada influenced.
