i hope Burial is remembered in the future and people talk about him like they do The Beatles, Led Zepplin and so on...he really deserves it. i mean, these aren't just tunes...this is William Beven as audio...he puts a lot of love into what he does and i think that's why we all appreciate what he does...so flawlessly!! It's because he's an honest guy...with a heart...no doubt sensitive and suffering from a heavy thinking head like us...but he's human...not a celebrity and i think that's why he means so much to me. he just travels the world and writes a tune here and there to live off...so much respect and love for who he is and what he does without the need for the attention...rare!! love to you all x x x

The song that led the way for me into the world of Burial. A true artist who creates soundscapes with sounds that are mixed, manipulated and prepared like a painter's oil paint on a palette.
This tune is music of your emotions. It touches soul, heart and our life. It reflects in what was passed, what will be in the future, and the most important what is happening now.

i know what you're saying man, most of my producing is inspired by those 3 guys. but, all of those guys' production is very crisp and light, whereas burial's is very deep and earthy, and completely unique which is why people make such a big deal over him, because there's no one else like him. also the fact that a lot of people (including me) consider him an absolute genius. each to their own though eh, though i'd much rather sit and listen to burial than synkro, indigo or phaeleh 日本語に訳してください。
Both are very different dude. And is a good example indeed! Skrillex is like the pills. At the begining is cool, you can dance, you can have fun, but over time you will notice how all your brain, your soul and your body instead of feed, and evolve, they dry. With mushrooms or Burial in this case, works the other way. So, good example.. but also explain the consecuences of being different, we don't want uninformed people. ;)
Lukas Gebhart actually, he admitted this is one of the very few times hes used sequencers to create a tune! i think this and lambeth are the only ones of his that arent made up completely of samples.
I wouldn't say it's quantised. Listen to the last part off the track where the bass plays without drums. It's sound pretty offbeat. But it's sounds great together with the drums. So i'm guessing the drums aren't quantised either.

how do you know it was produced on a sequencer?
Just hearing the way the instrumental unfolds compared to any of his other tracks from the Untrue album and it is pretty obvious

Yes. I'm currently doing my master's thesis on Burials rhythms and Unite really stands out with its precise timing.
Burial takes me to places I never thought imaginable.

Burials music is full of emotion, so much energy, and you can clearly feel the beauty of the beats, breaks and bass, which is beyond words.
I know I need some serious soothing whenever I turn to Burial. Always works like a charm too.
