I remember watching “Death of a Titan” back when I was younger so many times, and I can see how much the animation quality has improved over nine years. Good work.
Great video, but it has been discovered in the last decade that the ship was more likely at about a 30 degree angle when it broke, and that it broke just forward of the 3rd funnel, but the piece of superstructure with the aft grand staircase in it fell off making it look like it broke between the 3rd and fourth funnel. Oh also, the ship had a list to port for most of the sinking, but it then weakened around the time the first funnel fell. Also the funnels didn't collapse because of the angle of the ship, they were designed to be able to withstand that. They toppled because the metal was quite thin, so when the water pressed against the funnels bases, it poked holes into the funnels which made them fall.
Wow! Can’t believe how much you’ve improved since Death of a Titan! I remember watching that since I was a kid. It’s great to see you still doing this stuff! Keep it up!
The updated one seems accurate, like how in the animation it showed the ship breaking as the 2nd funnel fell. Jack Thayer also recalled the 2nd funnel falling as the ship broke. but the animation is missing sections (Forward Tower, Aft Tower, And forth funnel deck house). Over all, the animation is still good
You've come a long way since 2014. You can tell the difference. The modeling details, the rendering quality, and the animation improved to the tiniest bit. Great work! Oh and by the way, can I ask you something? Perhaps through email would be the best way for this?
I like how the animation showed only the outer two propellers reversing. Titanic's two outboard engines were reversible triple-expansion reciprocating steam engines. They in turn fed their low-pressure exhaust steam into the central engine, a low-pressure and non-reversible steam turbine. While her cruising speed was a respectable 21 knots--about what many modern cruise ships attain--she was never built to compete with the Cunard greyhounds, Mauretania and Lusitania. Titanic could achieve 23 knots at full power. By comparison, Mauretania's cruising speed was 24 knots with a flank speed of 28.5 knots. However, this came at a cost in comfort. Mauretania's direct-drive steam turbines caused so much vibration at higher speeds that she needed additional reinforcement in the stern after her construction, an issue never completely resolved. The combination system of engines installed in Titanic and her two sisters also allowed for less vibration than in the Cunarders while still giving the White Star liners a good turn of speed and 16,000 extra shaft horsepower in what was, essentially, otherwise, power-wise, waste steam. Considering her total output was 46,000 shaft horsepower, this is no small amount.
The animation here is impressively well-made, but as someone who has loved and studied this ship for over a decade now, I must beg you to please check your facts and do your research before making a video like this. It acts as an educational source of information, but makes several critical errors. Off the top of my head without rewatching, Titanic was an ocean liner, not a cruise ship; she was built for size and luxury, NOT speed (Boiler Room 1 was not lit prior to the sinking (its status during is unknown, but it was likely never lit), so Titanic was never making full speed); Titanic broke at a low angle and listed severely as she sank, contrary to what is shown in the film, and Lowe was the ship's fifth officer, not third. Oh, and Margaret Brown was in a boat commanded by Quartermaster Hichens, which did not return for survivors. If you’re going to make an educational video, I implore you, get your facts right! It does matter.
I do my best. Surely I can be forgiven for making a few mistakes. What actually happened is still highly debated, based only on witness accounts. Even you don't truly 100% know for absolutely certainty what happened.
10+ years later, 10+ years of maturity reasearch and publications, still gets the entire sinking horribly wrong to the point Titanic Honnor and Glory look good.
You can most definitely see the animation improvement from "Death of a Titan" almost 10 years ago.
Perfection takes time to craft.
Over the last decade of T.H.Cooney Art… I have always known that this channel will never perish

Great video my friend
Thank you so much!
Correction: Luxury Ocean *LINER* not cruiser.

Hey is this the new video your were refering to in the other one "Titanic New and improved"?
No this just happened to be my latest

I think my email can be found on my channel details, it's not a good idea to write it here
You made me realize how big the Titanic actually was
Perfect animation

It’s been years
Man. Deserved remaster of the death of the titan video
This is how it sank in the 1997 film, but is extremely inaccurate now
Because this is HD high quality
First comment here :)
UPD: Where I can download this titanic model?
I built the entire model myself, but haven’t thought to upload it to a site, maybe I will to Sketchfab
@@Equilibrious good animation
@@EquilibriousYes please!
Man you are a Guy who make The Titanic sinking animation when i have (capybara) years
