Best play through ever. Fast paced, easy to understand, no useless talk... Just two guys having a lot of fun playing a game! Please give us an episode 2!!!
Fabulous to see a playthrough - our group just played this mission the night before Ash posted using the PNP version. A couple of things: 1. Except for the very first door, you must roll at each new door to see if it is trapped or locked (you definitely need a rogue/thief in this game). 2. Not sure if they were factored in, but the complexity of each spell is subtracted from a casting roll. So with casting skill of 55 you must subtract 5-10 from your roll based on the spell. 3. Our group uses a house rule for "Monster Morale". Once non-boss/solitary Monsters lose half their number they roll every turn to see if the survivors stick around. This speeds game play as you may have 5-8 battles in each crawl. But overall it looks like a very overdue system - good to see so much enthusiam. And, yes, it would be great if this game (and its expansions) could get to retail.
Omg 😱 This is definitely a game that I must own!!! I absolutely love playing RPG’s but the problem is all of my friends can only get together every once in a while so playing multiple games in a row is next to impossible. With a game like this we could easily play a couple rounds in a single session and have a real good time especially if our groups barbarian has a similar experience like Jays did 😂
Excellent video fun of enjoyment and fun, it brightened up a tough day i was having. The "rat" fight did drag on in the doorway, but lets see what horrors our heroes face next time... ending was great and cannot wait to see more. Thank you both
Dungeon Exploration: - I think you did doors wrong. If my understanding is correct, and ofc it may not be, increase threat as you did. But then you roll a d6 to see if trapped and a d10 to see if locked. If it's locked and you cannot pick it then you at that point break it down adding auto hitting, but adding +2 threat for every attack needed (10-25 damage depending on locked roll 7-10). This is significantly worse than I move hear and kick in the door +1 threat ;-) - You also forgot to do encounter rolls (d100) 50 or less for each room, 30 or less for each corridor. In addition, if you roll in the rooms and there is no enemies, then I think you need to roll the dungeon event die (d10) same as the scenario die but just once per room, then on a 9-10 you roll a d6 and a d12. In Storage room: - I think it should be 13 black tokens, 8 for rats, 2 for each names char (Brood Mother and Johan) +1 perfect hearing for 1st round only. - I think the enemies get 2AP like heroes right, so the rats would have been attacking twice instead of once. - The activation says those who are in melee and can make room for others do so, so the rats at front would have moved behind the barb (doors are 2 wide) but even without this rats can move through people I think you mentioned that. - Not sure if any of you made a fear check to see if you had -10 to hit rolls for every enemy, there were some but I unless I missed/off cam then I don't think there was 1 roll per enemy attacked. - Not sure I have have just missed this, but where did you get the crit = roll twice and take highest? I thought crit was just add +1 to stat you rolled on. - The ranger couldn't move and melee as they would need to spend 1AP to draw their melee weapon. Overland Travel: - I don't think there is an automatic event in towns, you roll a d12 first and that roll determines if you roll on the event table. Towns: - Your ranger is using a 2h weapon, so can't have an OH, You Thief would need the Dual Wield talent to be able to dual wield anything. - You forgot to buy arrows ;-) - Have my doubts that you level in the middle of an arena, pretty sure it's its own even, could happen while resting. There is a LOT going on in this game and I feel like it will take anyone playing it a good 5-6 sessions before they start to remember all of the more common tables, rolls and rules etc.
If you haven't already watched them, you need to watch the episodes where Ash and Jay play Silver Bayonet. The sessions were awesome and the banter was hilarious.
Great play through funny as hell from Bad Boy Bubba lol. Hope you do the whole series of LOD with playthroughs for us to watch, looking forward to the next chapter of the parties Adventures?
I wasn't aware of this when it was on KS (and I've been burned a few times on boardgames) but give me a percentile based skill system and I go weak at the knees... Will likely look to picking it up when it hits stores.
Bubba! Bubba! Thats was funny, thanks. Been looking forward to you playing this since the overview vid. The legacy of Advanced HeroQuest and WarhammerQuest lives on. I like what I saw, I'd buy it, I prefare this to AoS WHQs. I'd be happy to watch more games if you two want to play on.
Hands down the best Let´s play of this out there. Such a good pacing. Thank you very much. And your buddy is amazing in rolling dice. :D "Face raaaaats." :D Hilarious. :D
Dude there is like 6 rules errors just in the first 5 mins. Perfect hearing doesn’t trigger unless you open a door. The bandit random spawn is wrong. Cannot charge through the sleeping bag. Not rolling at the -CS on enemy cards. I mean it goes on and on.
That‘s why i love the 2d6 system from Dungeon Universalis… way more versatile 🤪😜😎 despite that it looked that you had fun… and that’s all it should be… looking forward for more Adventures from your party 🤘🏻👍🏻
You're Alpha Strike videos are great and it's your fault I have gone down that hole, however I have more passion for LoD, the PnP (1.63) was very good but this version is great. Please keep playing LoD for us, helps whilst we all wait for it to land.
Why is it that practically every modern dungeon crawler turns out to be a tactical combat game? An hour for one room is waaaaay too long. HeroQuest averaged like 2-3 monsters per room and took about 5 minutes to resolve. There should be a good balance between exploration and combat. Put the crawl back into dungeon crawl.
Couldn't agree more. This one is going to need a good load of house-rules as well, to make a more family friendly version, lighter, faster and more "HeroQuest"-like 😉
The thing that really annoys me about this video is it's gonna be that much harder to play with standees, and I even prefer standees for the space they save. But those darn mini look so cool. 😢
Is that how the rewards are supposed to work out? Or is it 2.4 times what you put in if you win the finals, in total? And 150xp in total? Or do you add up per tier?
There will be limited retail copies from some who supported retail pledges. Probably the best way to get it would be to let the publisher know of your interest in a reprint or second kickstarter run of the game. I will try to post the web address for this.
I’m sorry but all board game companies these days are pure shame not to include miniatures. I remember getting “Dark World” and Dark World : Village of Fear” when I was a kid and it came with miniatures, interchangeable weapons, actual plastic chests that opened, potions that could be placed on the bases, and the bases were like Hero Clix miniatures that had health counters, 3D cardboard walls and plastic doors, absolutely no excuse these days.
There are 400 standees in the box. Descent 1e, came in an enormous coffin box that weighed a ton and that only contained 80 minis. How big a box do you think it'd take to package 400 minis? How much do you think it'd weigh? Do you think anyone could afford it? As it is, the box came in at like 12 kilograms, and the shipping was really expensive as a result... not so sure the game would be vastly improved by coming in a gigantic trunk that weighed over 50 kg and cost as much as a small car.
This is not from a company per se though, but just a one-man job and his little dream come true :) And there are _definitely_ excuses for not offering miniatures in each and every RPG-game out there.
Really really wanna get this game. Went on the website virtually no help. Have never done anything with kickstarter. I am 57 and can barely text. Can you please get me.information on how to order this. I will give you my personal.information if you can send me a."private kind of message thing.: Appreciate all the help. Charles
Charles, the answer is right there on the League of Dungeoneers website. You have to give them your email address to tell them you are interested in a re-print of the game, it has a big white box that says “interested in a re-print?” I the future you will get an email from them telling you what to do next.
@@johnberry5296 Thank you for the information. I thought this was JUST to get the newsletter. Did not realize this was how you reach them to get a copy. I am awful with computers and the internet. I must have just misunderstood. My wife usually does this stuff for me. Thanks alot for this info! Charles Cranford

What an absolutely fantastic play through, thank you. Really hoping you continue the campaign and share it.
This is a great game. Should quench the thirst of those wanting a WHQ95 reprint.
But, will it quench yours ? 😂
It’s less insane that WQ, which will be a bug or a feature depending.
"Are you not entertained! Is this not why you are Here!" - Random Arena Champion covered in Rat Bites.
I love how Bubba basically became Conan after the successful raid on Thulsa Doom and blew his cash on everything.
I hope we will have more of LoD gameplay that was a total blast :)
That was tense!! Can't wait for their next adventure. 👀👏🏻
Great fun - talk about zero to hero! Looking forward to the future adventures of Bubba and his entourage.
This is the best playthrough of this on UA-cam 😂
All that bad luck pays off with that trip to the arena! What a satisfying way to end the episode.
I'm 11 minutes in and I already adore everything about this.
This was so much fun! I want to see you play Advanced Heroquest!
That ending was HILARIOUS! I haven't laughed like that in a long time. Great video! So excited to see the rest of this play through!

fantastic video ! initiative and gameplay realy dynamic and funy !
I hope you'll be doing more of this game!
This is awesome! The roles, the luck, the combat,... I can't wait until my box arrives.

Jay definitely needs new dice. Loved the campaign. More please!!
Really fun to watch, thanks man.
Ah you and Jay have to do more videos - this was a blast to watch! Cant wait for my copy!!
The 2nd Kickstarter just delivered, need more playthrough with upgrades !
Great game! Love the world travel and the feel is pure OG WHQ. Really hope to see more of this from you Ash👍 fantastic
Love this game! Can't wait for future episodes.
Awesome!!! Cant wait for my set to arrive. Definately has the WHQ vibe to it! Well done as always!

Thank you Ash, quality gameplay and fun as always.
The last part was so much fun!
That ending was awesome! Bubba deserved it 😂
Its a "jay shows a cool game that was kickstarter only" episode.
I hope there is a reprint
One coming up within a few months at Gamefound.
Bubba! Bubba!

Gauntlet Legends N64, the Barbarian miniature looks just like the Warrior when did his power attack!
This is a fun playthrough and game looks great.
Ahh love these kind of games but gotta say they require a lot of commitment sometimes :P glad you did it though! Nice work :3

It does feel a LOT like a more modern Warhammer Quest, but it looks like great fun! Excited to see where it goes from here.
Looks great!
omg that ending XD Those rolls!

Those miniture men did not come from in the box crafty 😂🤪👍
Excited for my copy to arrive!
Can you please check out Dungeon Universalis too? I really think someone like you could do some interesting thing with that game system.
Are you going to play the game again on the channel?
Jay deserved that ending.
Jay has the best luck 🤣🤣
The thing that really annoys me about this video is it's gonna be that much harder to play with standees, and I even prefer standees for the space they save. But those darn mini look so cool. 😢
Reminds me of Chaosium’s Basic Role Play system.
Go Buba! 😁
Is that how the rewards are supposed to work out? Or is it 2.4 times what you put in if you win the finals, in total? And 150xp in total? Or do you add up per tier?
You lose a point of sanity when you get hit in the head btw , good play through
So, you've been fighting Rodents of Unusual Size, eh?
I don’t think they exist
Are the events deck a protoype? I just got my All in and don't have any even decks.
NVM, it appears you're using an event deck that is part of the expansion KS that isn't live yet.
I only have the print and play version dungeoneers. Do you not roll for traps and encounters in every room in this version?
I think you roll for each door, to see if its locked, unlocked and/or trapped?
i think Ash missed that - it's pretty critical. Rob's playthrough showed the trap/lock rolls.
Going to check this game out as 80s and 90s have best dungeon games. Do we know if this game is coming to retail ?
He’s doing print runs through his site. Email him to sign up for the next one!
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames thank you, done and done 😀
Hey Gareth it won't come to mass retail (only shops who pledge for the retail tier will be able to distribute the game). Crowdfunding only !
I know I say this a lot. But looks fun.
Any idea when we can purchase the second edition? I missed the crowd fund campaign.
Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.
Does the game come with the large hex world map?
The kickstarter did in neoprene, there’s a card version in the retail copy!
The Kickstarter is over already?
Bu-bba! Bu-bba! Bu-bba!!!
The into music is Seinfeld
"I'll make sandwiches later." 😄
The pro-wrestler barbarian should stick in the arena XD
YES!!!!!!! let's go Ash lol
Rats off to ya
such a good game
One of these guys had the luckiest die rolls ever in the history of board gaming 😂
Bet Jay can make a mean sandwitch.
Bubba! Bubba! Bubba!
Please play more
