The only Italeri kit I ever made was a Gripen, I really didn't enjoy it. There were a bunch of fit issues and the colour callouts were wrong, so the decals ended up blending into the colour of the actual plane. Might be mostly my mistake, but shit happens I guess.
Have heard that their a-6 has a similar thing where their decals are matched to what should be the actual colour of the plane which is weird. Also, man the gripen is such an under-represented subject
I'd say you annoyed the Italians way more than the French. For their faults (mostly due to the technology of the time) the Heller M2000s (1/72 and 1/48) were and probably remain the most accurate for dimensions, panel lines and contours. The same goes for their 1/72 Viggen. Love the review.
The Major problem with this kit is the wing leading edge who is too far away from the air intake opening. Modelsvit Mirage 2000, are the bestrepresentation of the different types in 1/72 scale.
I built an Apache a while ago and I have been meaning to buy commanche, hokum and havoc kits (I fucking love the enemy engaged games) for a while but I just haven't gotten around to it. My stash is large enough as is currently lol
funniest italeri kit is their Mi28 intepretation, that depicts non existing object :D some kind of early prototype. I'm just building Mirage 2000 from heller moulds and mistercraft box and i must say that details are basic and fit is far from perfect and unfortunately modelsvit appear to be only good choice
I recently built the 1/32 Italeri Mirage IIIC...the nose area fit is a total nightmare. I was expecting a LOT better for the price I paid...oh well. Dane
Good job, after all 👍. Glad you don't worry about the 'rivet counters.' I recently built the Academy 1/48 Mirage IIIC, and it went together nicely...
I enjoyed flying it in MSFS. It has nice liveries as well!!

You did a good job with what you had. I like it! Your weathering skills are very nice.
I just discovered this channel you are amazing
Do you plan on building any helicopters?
