Why is Airfix's Harrier GR.1 $50???
In this video, i say the word "butt join" one too many times, get bewildered by paint and unironically tell you to buy a mistercraft kit, all in an attempt to find out whether or not Airfix's Harrier GR.1 is worth the 26 pound sterling it tends to retail for. Also Airfix are raising their prices so have fun with that lol lmao

How To Pre-shade Without An Airbrush
Переглядів 3,6 тис.Місяць тому
Sike it's actually post-shading with oil paints. While oil paints are (apparently) pretty daunting for the beginner, they're powerful and can single-handedly turn your model from zero to slightly above zero with just a few simple techniques. Also they're the easiest way to replicate all the cool shading techniques when brush painting. Socials Discord: discord.gg/BFhQHJQSW2 Tumblr: www.tumblr.co...

In this video I brush paint vallejo primer, steal some techniques and snidely tell you to read a book, all in an attempt to answer the question of whether or not Academy's 1/72 f4u-1 Corsair is worth the twenty or so doubloons it usually goes for. In this video, I use hardware store primer, complain about struts and give shonky consumer advice, all in an attempt to find out whether or not hasegawa's 1/72 f-14 is worth it. But don't confuse this hasegawa f-14 (the 1988 tooling) with the other hasgegawa f-14 (the 1977 tooling) because otherwise the answer would probably be a definite no. Top 5 Tips On How To Be A Professional Scale Modeller
Переглядів 4497 місяців тому
alternative title: i air all of my grievances about the online scale modelling community in an over-edited monstrosity of a 2 minute long video. Scale modelling is a fine hobby. There isn't anything else I'd really rather do in my spare time. But unfortunately, the internet has a way of boosting up the loudest, most idiotic voices to the top. It's almost as if social media platforms profit on y...
you should never use tap water to thin your paints if your going to use water it should always be distilled water because tap water has a bunch of chemicals and sh*t in it that can mess with the paint, where distilled water has had all these chemicals and compounds removed.
The Harrier does actually jump, hover and also 'VIFF' very well. The 'running leap' thing is what the Sea Harrier does most of the time, off aircraft carriers. It's done to give the aircraft better range over sea. It takes a lot of fuel to take off vertically, fuel which can be better used to get you back to the ship when there may be no dry land for you to set down on. Yes... Land-based Harriers do the running leap thing for some missions (Long range, or carrying heavy loads) but saying it can't take off vertically very well, is... I'll just say 'not accurate'
Hi. Maybe next time you go to a model show you could look out for the original old Airfix kit of the Harrier. It had the rotating nozzles which as a kid I really liked, it might not be as accurate as the newer version but it has a nostalgia value. Nice job though. Good luck.
miserable git and the harrier could take of vertically, maybe you should try it!
Yeh, as soon as the video started I’m thinking this guy is clueless.
The old builds are good too ❤
My favorite model kit brands are Tamiya, Academy, Eduard, Meng, and HobbyBoss.
кринж..
All hail the Esci Harrier. There is also the Fujimi one if you can find it (pretty easy on the second hand sites).
I have never built a Harrier in 1/72 or 1/48 that would sit on all 4 wheels ! anyone noticed this ??
Zokei Mura and Eduard profi pack are great models
Your voice is unbelievably annoying
For brush painting add more thinner, I made the same mistake....Still love that He 123
Well, it is the shipping costs from India. So that it can be boxed in UK. Tadaaaaa what environmental problem...

Find a new hobby. If you put Tamiya and Mister Craft in the same group, you're either blind or you don't know what you're talking about. There is a huge difference between the two

$50 in British money is about $89 Canadian and then shipping if I can't find one locally. Big chunk when I just make 20 an hour.
For the moment I am making less than that. For the moment, any safe port in the Trudeau sea
@@fufutooky3582 Had to bring trudeau into this right? This is a model video.
$50 is not British money - I think the model builder may be Australian. This kit costs under £25 in UK
@@SimbianMinistry ok, my dollar is a few cents better than down under.
*hits do not recommend this whiny moaning soy-laden channel* Sorry, fella, but your schtik isn't for me.
Don't worry mate, I think Andrew Tate is about to start a more "Alpha" model making channel to suit this demographic.
Same, it's a big "Do not recommend" from me as well. Just depressing. If you don't like modelling or painting, visiting model shops then don't bother.
😅 soy laden.
I think part of the problem with Airfix pricing comes down to the way they classify their kits in "series". This results in some kits being a bit better value for money in comparison to others - this being a series 4 kit means that it is inline with all the other series 4 kits at £23.99 RRP (at the time of this comment). The problem is that series 4 contains 1/48 and 1/72 kits at this price, with the 1/48 ones looking to be quite reasonable value whilst the 1/72 ones seeming a little over priced
It is called High Taxes....
@@fufutooky3582 taxes have got nothing to do with my comment, I’m referring to their pricing model
Airfix have classified their kits in series since at least the 1970s. I can remember when you could get two series 1 kits for 50p.
''Butt join'' chain
Uh......Sorry to tell you, what you're doing is, is called POST shading. You didn't do any PRE shading.
Dude, you're brutal. It looks like you could get the crappiest kits and make it look like a masterpiece. Not sure what you're complaining about, but you do a Damn Good job on each kit You showed... Oh, and I hate academy kits They're the worst
I think the mere data base is insufficient and therefore the whole ranking is more or less randomly, but who cares anyway?
I really needed this video. Thanks, man
You forgot dragon 1/72 😂
You put all kit manufacturers in the bottom F category, and you want people to take you seriously. Maybe you are just shit at modelling and need to find another hobby that is more suited to your IQ level.
No I don't want anyone to take me seriously, actually
I would definitely spend some money on good odourless thinners from someone like Winsor & Newton. You don't use much so it lasts forever.

For many years I painted with an airbrush, but one day I had to deliver a model for a birthday as a surprise gift and the airbrush played a bad trick on me. From that moment on I paint with a brush and as you say in your video you have to learn from your mistakes. With my technique and my brushes I achieve the same effects as with an airbrush. Also, painting with a brush takes less time cleaning than with an airbrush. Congratulations on your channel and work.
Great work congratulations ❤🎉
