Just Pick HobbyBoss' Rafale
In this video, I paint some stripes, hire a robot to speak french for me and do surgery on a landing gear, all in an attempt to find out whether or not HobbyBoss' 1/72 Rafale C is worth the 15-ish euro I paid for it.

How To Pre-shade Without An Airbrush

Sike it's actually post-shading with oil paints. While oil paints are (apparently) pretty daunting for the beginner, they're powerful and can single-handedly turn your model from zero to slightly above zero with just a few simple techniques.
