Yes!! I do remember that!! They seemed to be having such a great time even without the fancy studio/audience/trappings etc....... In hindsight.. Feeling blessed to have had those simple joyfilled moments too (with a loved one)..........
That was when we fell in love with Evie ....her giggle was infectious!

That was my favorite part about his show during COVID. Instead of trying to get a whole studio to laugh, all he wanted was to make Evie laugh.

My wife and I have been together for over 18 years and we still have a great relationship. We still find out new things about each other like for instance, I haven’t yet told her my middle name. I’ll tell her in year 20. It keeps it fun and interesting.

Our wedding invitations has his nickname because I forgot my Nana had never heard his real name when I asked her to take care of that for me.... everyone got the invitations and couldn't figure out why I was marrying "Randy" Struthers(his name was Bryan; hes since passed).
With all due respect, Evie is the one who really got us all through COVID…because she kept Stephen going for us. Xoxo and Happy valentines 💘 month.

My wife wanted to get married three weeks after we met. I thought that was too quick, so I put her off for a while before I asked her. "A while" turned into three years. By that time, we were living 1000 miles apart (due to my job) and were talking on the phone every Saturday while I did my laundry. So, I called her, as usual, on that Saturday from the laundromat pay phone (still had them in those days) and asked her, "Do you remember, three years ago, you said you wanted to get married?" She said, "Yes." "Do you still want to?" "I guess so." To which I said, "All right then." It took her a minute to understand that I had just proposed. "What? So, are we engaged?" I said 'Yes" and 'Is that all right' and she said 'Yes!"
That was 37 years, two kids, and five grandchildren ago.

I remember when they did the switched interviews awhile back, John Oliver was asking "first date" questions. He asked him if he had some idea of how he'd die and he said Evie would go first and he'd go soon after from the loneliness. So sweet. I don't think for a second the affection they show here is made up.
