Of all the py 150, these three are actually my least favorite. The qor is my favorite of the three it has a much much larger range. My absolute favorite brand py150 is white nights indian yellow, second to that is daniel smith nickel azo yellow. I find the sennelier and the winsor and newton are too light, they don't have the broad range I can get from the others.
Anyway, I love py150 it is my favorite yellow too :) I have about 8 brands at this point. I think it is a perfect mixing yellow.
Aww really, I really like the W&N but then I’ve not tried the others. I may have to invest in the other brands after Christmas 😊
The M Graham and Daniel Smith versions of PY150 are superb. M Grahams is probably my favourite for smoothness and flow, though that Qor one looks great. I love how this pigment lights up a wet area on a painting and disperses so quickly.
You may be just using too much of the Qor. You only need the tiniest bit.
Hi and thanks for sharing this video :-) I quite liked the swatches. I love watching paint comparisons to see which I like best. PY150 is a pigment that I am eyeing; I’ve never used it before. The paints that I am most interested in are the ones by W+N, Schmincke, M. Graham, Rembrandt and Roman Szmal. The other pigment that I really want to try is PY150’s sibling, PY129. It would be nice if you would do a comparison of PY129 paints, if it is not too much trouble, of course.
Aww thank you for watching the video and I’m so pleased you liked it. I’ll have a look to see if I have any PY129 I can’t remember 🤦🏻♀️
@@TammyNewmanArt Thanks so much! I hope it’s not too much trouble.
Using non 100% cotton paper affects glazing.
